The place was very crowded and they do not take reservations...waited 45 minutes for a table. We were sat at the COLDEST table outside of Noam Alaska!!! Longhorn is a solid choice for dinner in the city of Tifton. The food was tasty and the service was excellent. My buddy Blaine and I were staying overnight in Tifton before duck hunting the next morning. We arrived in town late, around 8 pm. There are plenty of fast food places around but Longhorn is my buddy's go-to. I've never been. We walked into a fairly busy restaurant. We were seated immediately in a freshly wiped booth, the table was still wet. Our waitress was around quickly and got us started on drinks and an appetizer. We got the wild west shrimp. The shrimp was up quickly. I didn't get a picture but this was a decently sized portion of small, crispy, fried shrimp. They were tossed with garlic butter and served alongside spicy cherry peppers. Ranch to dip. Slightly spicy but big in flavor. I'd eat these again if someone were to order them. My buddy Blaine usually makes a meal out of this appetizer. For dinner, I ordered the LH (Longhorn) Burger. For my side, I did a house-chopped salad with vinaigrette dressing. Blaine got the 12oz ribeye, medium-rare with a side of sweet potato and French onion soup. The food didn't take too long. Our waitress was friendly and personable. She talked with us a little bit and made sure we always had water and that the food was to our liking. My burger was cooked as asked, medium. The burger lacked the bacon that it was supposed to have but was dressed well enough for me. I don't like a ton of toppings. Lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions. It was topped with American cheese and their special burger sauce. The half-pound burger itself was well-seasoned, on the verge of over-seasoned, but it was decent. The meat seemed to be of good quality. The veggies on top were fresh. I don't remember the special sauce ever standing out so it may have been left off like the bacon was. Otherwise, a solid burger. My side salad was chopped so it was in tiny pieces which surprisingly, made it a lot tougher to eat. There was a good amount of dressing on it. Everything was fresh and tasty and the croutons were crunchy. My buddy's steak was cooked a little more than medium rare but he wasn't sending it back. It was well seasoned and had a great steak taste. He finished his soup and potato and had a hearty, tasty meal. I'd say you can't go wrong with Longhorn in Tifton. It was our waitress's first day, and she was young. I didn't have a problem with her service. However the food was mediocre. Steak was way undercooked- asked for medium and got rare. It was chewy, bloody, and cold in the center. The brussel sprouts were burnt. We didn't get our baked potato and they over charged us $40 before we spoke up about it. WE had our 47th anniversary and as usual we go to this restaurant. I ordered of 6 oz filet which in the past is always great! This time I believe they cut up a lesser steak because either they ran out or conned me because the cheaper cut, price has not changed. Anyway the steak was so though that you could hardly cut it. I usually do complain, so I let it go because when you complain they get away with the crappy steak. Beware of this place when you pick a steakhouse. I had a 9 oz Flo's Filet and it was cooked perfectly and very tender. Since we used curbside, all we had was plastic knives but I was still able to slice my steak easily. The corn was great as well. The only thing that would have made the meal perfect would have been the availability of Longhorn's original olive salad dressing, which they stopped carrying (at home I make it myself since it's my favorite salad dressing ever and I've eaten at restaurants all over the world). The Bleu cheese was ok but it was a distant second to my favorite. One of the worst locations I've frequented. It was located next to a hotel that we stayed at so it was convenient. Despite ordering curbside ahead we arrived to a huge backlog vs the expected pickup time provided. One server came out searching for a previous car to give them their order that was clearly extremely late. My fiance went in and grabbed the order. After a long wait, there were no condiments and the drinks that we were charged over $3 each for were provided in baby to go cups. Disgusting, I thought those were sauces when we got back to the hotel. The steaks were dry and tasteless. A gentleman walked in while we waited and although almost everyone in the restaurant already left. He was told there was a wait. So practically empty they can't keep up with curbside orders and they can't seat customers. What on earth they are doing is anyone's guess. Before writing to corporate and since it was late that night I called later on to speak with the manager. After a long wait, the host came back and stated that the manager is asking me to call back because he is talking to someone. I spoke with the manager, Chris Miller, after being told we could make a reservation, and subsequently made one for 7:30. Upon arrival, we were told we had no reservation, only a "call ahead" and were told to wait 45 minutes. To make the reservation on time, we ran through a tropical storm, and were soaked, and to top it off, it was my grandmothers 82nd birthday. Chris was totally unsympathetic, rude, and had no apology. Honestly, if he at least said, "I'm so sorry, but someone misinformed you," I wouldn't be writing this review. Instead he was very rude, and unsympathetic. I'm very unimpressed. I'm from tifton and have eaten here a few times, and the food is always subpar. I only came because it was my Grandmothers birthday. If you have plenty of time to waste waiting around ... Then this restaurant is for you. Got there around 845 on Saturday. It Wasn't busy at all. We were seated promptly, our drink orders taken. Some of us chose salads as our sides. We literally had to wave down another server to check if they had to run over to a local farmers market to get the produce as we waited over a half hour for the salad. It seemed all our waitress Katie was interested in was refilling our beverages ( we later found out from a fellow employee, she used to be a hostess. In my opinion, she should stuck to that). Our menus and table trash , straw papers and dirty dishes with bread crumbs sat at the end of table pretty much the whole evening . Our dinners arrived about a 1/2 hour after our salads. People that were seated after us, had already finished appetizers, salads and main courses. We had to keep flagging down servers to check on things in the kitchen. Not once did our server ask how our meals were (just if we needed more sweet tea refills) Another waitress sort of adopted us and was following up, checking on our cup of ice we asked for and never received. Once receiving our meals, my prime rib was fatty and lukewarm. I asked for additional horseradish sauce which I never received.
