STAY AWAY FROM LONGO SERVICE!!! I purchased a prepaid maintenance program from Longo Toyota, which includes 5 maintenance services. I completed my 4th service on Saturday 12/7/24, which was only for multipoint inspections with tire rotation. I had an appointment at 9:45 am, but I still had to wait for 5 hours for the service to be completed. What's worse is that Andrew C, the service manager, informed me that the tech damaged my car during the service!! The passenger side door was dented and scratched with red paint (my car is grey) from hitting another car door when the tech pulled out my car and hit a blind spot. Andrew offered to fix my car at Longo Collision Repair Center (CRC) at no charge, but given my previous bad experiences with extremely long waits and now a damaged car, I didn't want to have it repaired at Longo. He told me that I could bring it to any auto body shop of my choice and Longo would cover the cost, but I need to get an estimate at their CRC first. So, I made an appointment for Tuesday 12/10 since they're closed early on Saturday. He assured me that we would be there to help smooth the process with CRC. Fast forward to Tuesday, the CRC gave me a very low estimate of $425 for their work which would take 4 workdays to complete. Andrew was off, contrary to what he had said, and didn't answer my call or text, so I talked to the service manager, Matthew Menendez. He completely contradicted what Andy had told me on Saturday. Matt said if I want to bring it to another auto body shop closer to my house, they would only pay me $425, and I would have to cover the remaining cost. By the way he flaunted his seniority, he should know that no auto body shop would do this work for such a low price. Essentially, I was forced to have the repairs done at Longo, even though I was previously told otherwise before. Matt said he didn't know what Andrew told me, but he's the manager. A horrible one at that! They don't even honor their own word. What irresponsible people and awful place this is. I have to take time off from work to fix their mistakes, only to be subjected to a broken promise. The least they can do is make it easier to deal with for all the inconveniences I have to go through. I can't wait to finish my prepaid maintenance program and be done with this place. read more

Labor Day weekend was busy, but my daughter found the perfect car she wanted at Longo. Upon calling to reserve a test drive, and purchasing the vehicle within hour of testing, we couldn't be happier. Salesman Bryan Garcia was knowledgeable about the vehicle, friendly and professional. We definitely would recommend coming to this dealership. Today, I brought my car in for service and asked them to see why my notifications aren't being displayed. They asked me to pay a $95.00 fee to download THEIR latest version and MAYBE that may help? Concierge Service I called on 08-27-25 asked for a Saturday Service appt and they only had 08-28-25 at 11:45am. I stated I just got a new job and don't want to miss due to training. She said come early and we can take you to work within Radius. I said really, gave my address and she said it is within the Radius of 15 miles. Omg excited because my car is so important to have up keep. So, I was so happy. Got there at 8am to get shuttle, when the concierge stated it is 16 miles out of radius. My heart drop. No, they said it was that is the only reason I came in. She wanted to drop me off in an area unfamiliar since it is my new job. I tried to maybe Uber but it was $57+ dollars. I said is there any way they can leave me on the corner of my address. No, mortified. Only one person in line and they could not make the exception since I was informed I was in radius. We love Longo Toyota. Our family has purchased several Lexus and Toyotas. We drive from Pasadena to Longo even though there is a Toyota dealership in Pasadena. The reason for the one star is service on a two year old Tacoma. Sun roof quit working at 1 year. They refused to fix it and wanted $2,500 for repair. Longo said it was because there were leaves blocking the track. They sent a picture of one leaf in the track. Guess I'll be using Pasadena Toyota from now on. When I was shopping for a car in 2013, I visited Longo Toyota because of my father's experience, as well as other dealerships, to test drive and determine my next new car. I had the best experience at Longo, with no pesky sales vultures camping outside the sales lot, displaying ingenuine kindness and aggressively pushing me to buy a car. Longo is different; I had to sign in to even have a salesperson speak with me. The impressive experience from my 2013 purchase and car maintenance service led me to return a few days ago when I needed a new car. I was quickly set up with the next available salesperson after signing in and told the salesperson exactly the model, trim, and color I had in mind. He immediately showed me all the available options on the lot, which were quite limited for that model due to high demand. However, he explained the differences between trims in case I wanted to consider upgrading or downgrading from the one I had in mind. He was extremely knowledgeable, knew his stuff well, and was very honest too. After a quick test drive that day, I informed him that I'd come back another time after doing my homework. The next day, I texted my salesperson to see if he was available and went back because one of the models on the lot was 90% close to what I was looking for. I test drove it, discussed finances, and he even helped with my trade-in, for which I got a decent value, and purchased it. Everything was made so easy. The great thing about Longo is that they won't mark up and rip you off like some other shady Toyota dealers, so I felt confident purchasing from them again. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is open and available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. While I was here in this establishment several days ago and today, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. Staff: The staff here (Elizabeth Acosta - Receptionist & Justin Sebring - Salesman) are very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and kind. Justin was amazingly knowledgeable, patient, amiable, considerate, polite, goofy, passionate, and relatable. He wasn't pushy and arrogant like some car salesmen that I have met at some other dealership. I loved that Justin actually took his time to go over some of the settings with me in the car before I drove it home. He also helped me set up Apple Car Play and paired my phone to the car. How cool! I have come to Longo Toyota in El Monte to pick up pre-ordered parts a few times now. Pick up process is very easy. Just give them your name and they'll look up your order online. Afterwards, they'll go get the items for you. They have a huge waiting/seating area inside for those who are having to wait until their car is serviced or for anything else they have to wait for. They have some kind of food and/or drinks eatery inside maybe Starbucks... I don't remember. I have very selective memory... it's not that I'm selecting which memories I want to remember... I just don't remember LOL. Old age can get really interesting folks! Staff is always friendly and pleasant. Wait time is normally very short. Not Recommended for Car Service!! I know dealerships like Longo are expensive, but lately it's getting even worse. Longo priced $285 to get ONE car tire pressure sensor (TPMS) replaced. They said if I replaced all 4 at once, the total price will be $785. I called Costco and their total for replacing all 4 sensors is $350 (labor included), wow! Before I go on, I got 4 tires replaced last year at Longo thinking they'll fix my tire pressure sensors as well for an additional fee. 4 tires at Longo for my Prius costed $444.20 (they had a deal) but they never fixed my tire pressure sensors, which you can do when you replace your tires. The service persons advice was to "let it die out" In addition to the tire pressure sensors, they added on additional items to my covered service like replacing windshield rubber for $25, replacing a weird plastic piece for $75, etc. Totaling $1,340. I thought, ok if it is that critical. I called them again to reconsider a service and the technician was like, "I can lower that to $1,120". A $220 difference! There's a huge pricing discrepancy for their overpriced services that they added on. Once, my Prius' 12 volt battery had an issue and my car failed to start many times. Longo gaslighted me 3 times, failing to diagnose it each time I came to check on it. The 4th time I had to tow my car over to the dealership for them to finally figure out it was the 12 volt battery. Overall, I think this is the final straw for me and it's time for local service mechanics to shine! - and Costco for tires and tire services :) read more

I came to Longo Toyota to get a windshield replaced. I scheduled online and over the phone when asked for details regarding the windshield replacement. The glass had to be ordered The quote for the job (unknown to me at the time) did not include the price of the rubber seal strip that is also necessary. It was for the glass only. - I came in on my appointment time. Anthony Torres told me that seal strip had not been ordered since it was not included in the work order. I came out to Longo for no reason and wasted my own time due to their negligence. - When I came back after the seal strip was confirmed to be in-store, the service rep covering for Anthony (he was on lunch) sharing the station with him proceeded to try to make me pay additionally for the part. I firmly stood fast to my original quote and was not charged additionally. - The texting service to reach busy reps is useless. Anthony was away from desk when I went to pick up. I was prompted that text would be preferable to calling. I never even got a response. + Complimentary donuts on the weekend, cookies during the week + Subway and Starbucks located on-site *Shuttle service is 15 mile maxmum from Longo location. I believe shuttles from 8-3 PM. I came to Longo despite the fact that Wondries Toyota is closer to me because that location is absolute garbage. I also had a pleasant experience purchasing a vehicle here. In this experience, I learned that Longo doesn't respect client time / effort made to adjust for their failure. I also believe Longo should have covered the cost of the missing part quietly, in good faith, instead of trying to extract even more money from me. I visited Longo Toyota on three separate occasions with genuine interest in purchasing a vehicle. Unfortunately, at no point during these visits did anyone clearly communicate that, in order to test drive a vehicle, a customer must not only possess a valid driver's license (which is standard) but also be listed on an active insurance policy. This requirement was only disclosed at the final stage, which was both disappointing and a significant waste of my time. It is reasonable to expect that such an important policy would be communicated upfront -- whether on the dealership's website, over the phone, or during initial discussions. Sadly, due to this lack of transparency, Longo Toyota has lost a serious potential customer. I hope they take this feedback to heart and improve their communication for future clients. Adding to the frustration, each team member I spoke with provided different information, and no one seemed to be on the same page about this policy. So let me start by saying this, I've been car shopping for about a little over a month. It's been a nightmare! Visiting a few dealers, and not being happy with the customer service being provided, I was unsure if I wanted to even do business with any of these dealers. I went on yelp to see Longos best reviewed sales people and that's when I read about a Harley. A lot of satisfied customers have mentioned her name and about being happy they had the opportunity to work with Harley. So with all the great things being said about her, I emailed her to see if she was available. She replied to my email and told me she was available and told me the hours she was working. Unfortunately, I could not make it in time before her shift ended. She tells me no worries, that she'll stay late for me to see the vehicle I wanted. That's when I knew she was going to be great. We get there, she greeted us with a smile and was very approachable. We saw the car and we loved it. We talked numbers and was able to get a super great deal. After all the headaches and going back and fourth with other dealers, working with Harley made everything worth it in the end. I also want to say how great the finance experience was. The finance manager Laura was equally amazing! She was welcoming and helped us through the whole process. I sincerely want to thank both of them for everything that they did. I have family members and friends who are in the market for vehicles soon, so I will send them to Harley and Laura. I drove my car to get an oil change & new spark plugs. They quickly came to help. Brian set me up with Jesus at my request, who has worked on my vehicle before. Brian did explain that they were saturated with work and my vehicle would be completed until Monday. He assured me that I would be set up with a rental for the days I would be without my vehicle. They were prompt in helping me with getting my information at the rental desk. I told them that I forgot my phone charging cord and they called Jesus. Jesus brought my cord right away. Once they took me to get the rental. The young guy (walking me to the rental who was wearing a Dodgers jersey & not professional attire or company uniform) was helpful but rude. I would suggest more training so he can gain customer service skills. He rushed me, did answer my questions but, as if he didn't want to deal with me as if he had somewhere else to be. I understand they were busy however, this young man needs help when dealing with customers as the person in the rental place was nice & helpful, Brian was nice & helpful and Jesus Ocampo went above and beyond to return my phone cord and assured me he would take care of my car. read more

If you buy your car here, it's a great place with great prices, most of the time. In the last 4 Toyotas I bought, only 1 was not purchased at Longo because they simply couldn't beat the price I got from another dealership in the IE -- weird, right? (Longo usually has the best prices) They are good at sales, but I do not recommend their service team. Their service team for car repair, from my experience, has been a nightmare. I took my 2021 Prius Prime because the AC stopped working. Although my warranty was over, they were able to get Toyota to cover it under goodwill. Great, right? So here is the list of visits because of this issue I had: Visit 1 - Drop off the car because of the initial issue (AC stopped working). Visit 2 - Pick up the car several days later. 2-3 hours later, AC dies again. Visit 3 - Drop off the car again, same day after I picked up the car. During this visit, they said they had to replace other items. They ended up replacing more lines, AC evap core, etc. -- they said, "catastrophic AC failure". Visit 4 - Pick up the car -- while my car was here for the 2nd time getting repaired, they somehow broke my passenger side window trim (which they replaced). ***After this, I detailed my car and noticed I had TONS of scratches (paint missing) on my driver and passenger side door jams*** Visit 5 - Drop off the car because I complained about all the scratches. Longo ended up painting my whole door jams, driver and passenger, fully (front to back). Visit 6 - Pick up the car. As I'm driving home, my aftermarket wide-angle mirror (Broadway mirror), which is attached to the OEM mirror popped off -- this has never happened in the 4+ years I've had this on my car. After inspecting it, the plastic mounts are cracked! (I have this mirror on my other cars as well, and not one of them popped off or have cracks) I called and complained about this. They told me that the valet hangs a dongle or something on the mirror, and there is a chance that the valet broke my mirror. They cut me a check for this, okay, cool. Now that the AC issue is solved, door jams are painted, and the mirror is replaced, I finally have my car back. I'm driving it for a few days, and now, I notice my dash or something within my dashboard is rattling while driving -- VERY annoying! Visit 7 - I complained about the sound, and I dropped it off, again. They gave me a loaner while they try to figure it out. But how convenient, when their techs drive it around, they can't find the noise. Visit 8 - I eventually pick up the car. They told me if it happens again, bring it in again. As soon as I drive off, hop on the freeway, the rattle is there again. I'm very annoyed at this point. Visit 9 - I drop off the car, again. And guess what. While they had the car again, they couldn't hear the noise. So I explained, I drive on the 10 freeway every day to LA for work and back. This is where it happens. Perhaps the specific route they take for test drives doesn't produce this sound. Visit 10 - I pick up the car, again, because well, they can't replicate the sound. Visit 11 - I dropped off the car again because as I stated before, I hear this every time I drive. this time I went on a test drive with the shop foreman, and we went up the 210 Freeway and down. On this route, I heard it a little bit, but not as bad as when I drive it. The foreman said he will keep the car (again), but will try to test drive it on the 10 freeway when there is no traffic, early at 7am on Saturday, because I dropped it off on Friday afternoon and traffic was heavy. Visit 12 - I pick up the car, and guess what, they couldn't hear it again!!!! I have an album on my phone with TONS of videos of this sound--which I've shown their service advisers and shop foreman. How is it that I have over 45 minutes of videos with this rattle, but they can't hear it, at all, when they drive it??? I want to take it back because they removed my whole dash to replace the AC evap core. The cadence of the rattle becomes noticeable at freeway speeds between 78 and 85+ mph. But after over 12 visits to Longo within a few months.... I gave up. I wasted too much time going back and forth. I'm very frustrated still and have lost all hope of the service team being competent enough to find this issue. I had a great car-buying experience last week with Jeffrey Tomita. I'm a single female, and I actually came in with just my 13-year-old daughter. I mention this for the gals who might feel uncomfortable going in alone. I called in first to get the financing done ahead of time and make sure they had the car that worked for me. SKETCHY START The first salesperson was pretty awful and I did not like him at all. I think his name was Jason, he had a heavy Spanish accent (I'm Mexican btw so that wasn't an issue) but what WAS an issue was the way he talked to me. He dismissed my questions and pushed me to come in instead of having a conversation and answering my questions. Obviously I called first for a reason. I hung up called back and asked the receptionist for anyone but him. I got Jeffrey instead. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE Jeffrey is the reason this is a five-star review. Right away he was easygoing, patient, and friendly, and really answered every question I had. The conversation felt natural and not forced. I wasn't exactly sure what car I wanted. I told him I wanted to keep the payments under $500 and he did a great job of matching me to the best car for my budget. We figured out that the new 2024 Toyota Corolla SE would be a good fit. He answered all my questions. He was clear and transparent. He never made me feel hurried in any way. He sent the link to the car and even sent over photos. Obviously every salesperson wants to sell a car but he never made me feel pressured at all. Now this was all BEFORE I even walked in. Once we were set (all the financials submitted, insurance proof, title, etc.), I came into the store that afternoon. He held the car for two hours so I could get there. I would only recommend calling and starting the process the day you are prepared to go in. You'll need your current proof of insurance, driver's license, title to your current car, and any needed financial docs (see below) The car was beautiful (love the dark charcoal color) and he took his time explaining everything before the test drive. The test drive lap was really easy, no crazy blind left turns or fighting for your life while you get used to a new car. FINANCING BREAKDOWN I was able to keep my payment at under $500. They DID match CarMax's buyer's offer which was super helpful. The Corolla SE isn't the cheapest Corolla (nor the most expensive) so there's wiggle room if you are on budget. I find it has plenty of room and drives super easy. Rates are high right now in general and their rate was actually better than other dealerships' quotes I got. Rates also vary by car and promotions so don't be afraid to ask. And obviously rates change so check first. I did take the extended warranty because honestly, it was a good deal. Toyotas are really reliable (and recommended by my mechanic, even over Honda's which he said aren't as good as they used to be) the electronics probably will need servicing sooner than the mechanical stuff. I just spent over $1000 on my mom's car's electronics so the extended warranty made sense and wasn't that much. And don't forget to account for the increase in insurance. Mine went up about $80/mo. OVERALL Jeffrey made the experience very easy and comfortable. Honestly, he was great and I'm glad I didn't give up after that first call! Longo Toyota was a great experience overall. Got my vehicle serviced for oil change coolant flush and transmission flush and oil leak I had ALEX AYALA help me he was awesome very friendly broke down everything got me a rental so that made things very convenient. A couple house later he called to give me a update on my vehicle they found the oil leak and will be able to fix it however the parts weren't in stock so they need to keep the truck overnight if that's ok they will proceed. Next day he called me telling me the truck will be good to go however he had a problem. I was like "here we go" he said he doesn't understand how the mechanic missed the oil leak and replaced the wrong gaskets and I was charged for this. He told me this is not how we do business he apologized for the previous work and gave me a full refund for the previous service. I was like wow that's great. Alex Ayala went above and beyond to me things right and he got me a free outside detail on my truck. He went way over to make things right. Something dealerships don't do these days. His customer service is awesome. My truck he clean looking and running like a beast. His amazing service has now locked me in for going back for service and in the near future purchasing a new car.
