The worst customer service from the pharmacy clerk. I wait 10 minutes in the outside drive thru. She was busy on the phone As I waited I could see her put the call on hold or maybe answer another call. Never did she acknowledge that I was waiting. When she got off the phone she just stood at the counter. I pressed the button so she knows I'm there. She then picked up the phone & said just a minute- not even turning around. No thank u for waiting. I could see someone walk up - which she helped first. Though she said they were there before me. Very rude. When Walgreen started to pop up everywhere I didn't think they would do as well if you've compared it to Longs Drugs. Walgreen had stores in Nuuanu, Market City and near Ala Moana (Flagship store) which are now closed! Walgreen have some items others stores may not offered. Good to see some different items since they have different buyers and distributors. Great they have a 24 hour drive through pharmacy. You can always get your prescription any time of the day! My friend likes their manual toothbrushes since only a few places still sell " firm" toothbrushes. Walgreen offered vast variety of handicap and health home products and test kits. You have to check out their dollar section aisle which is cool at the Kaneohe and Kalihi locations that I'm aware of. You may find mouth washes, drink mix packets, can of soups, zippered bags, soap and more in the dollar section! it's such a bargain price! They have reasonable toilet paper prices for their brand. If you're like me, the 1-ply toilet paper is perfect for those who like to use so much for one use. I'm a fan of the big jug of decaf diet Arizona drink. They have a reward program and can get their Walgreen's app on your phone and start savings. One of their store brand is "Nice" and I usually buy their snack/nuts from there also Worth checking it out, never know what you would find. 09/24/22 was the last day to use the coupon book since they are going all digital savings. I went to Walgreens in Kaneohe and was treated horribly. I walked around for awhile before stopping at the toy section. I collect toy cars and I seen a broken box of JDM cars, these cars are like Hot Wheels, and it looked like it had some missing. I took the box to the cashier who was nasty with a bad attitude who told me these are only for display and are not for sale. I told her that there was no sign saying not for sale or display item. Then another idiot with the same attitude came and told me it is for display only and you can come back another day and wait for us to sell it. As if I have ESP to know the cars were not for sale and I guess I have to use ESP to know when they plan to sell it. Their store is dirty, there is dust on the boxes, and they need to teach customer service to the idiots that work there. They could have told me politely that the item is a display item and we are sorry someone must have taken it where it was on display and put it where I found it. I hope Longs CVS puts them out of business. I am amazed they are still in business. I predict they will fail like I predicted Sears, Radio Shack, and Sharper Image, and Dennys, was going to fail due to lack of customer service. The overall rating at this Walgreens is entirely erroneous, and I am writing this review to try updating / correcting the record, as I see it. Like many if not most of you, I've been to Walgreens stores (and CVS/Longs and other competitors) across the country and I have to say, those who do not recognize it, this is one of the best - if not the best - I've shopped at. I use the Pharmacy here regularly and enjoy the drive-through service which many / most others do not offer. I've found the good people behind the glass partitions (under Sarah's team management of the pharmacy, including Leann, Kristin, and Daniel) to be wonderful - helpful, knowledgeable, willing to go the extra distance to be effective). Similarly, the nice ladies at the main checkout, when venturing inside (usually on weekends or week nights) to shop and or pickup my prescriptions, are generally delightful and eager to assist. There are times when I've been there when, like at many places across the country since the challenges arose from finding sufficient numbers of workers, the store can seem a bit overwhelmed while being understaffed- recognizing that my fellow shoppers (and me, too) can at such times feel impatient and additionally frustrated, I have to give credit to the workers for continuing to do their visible best whilst contending with additional challenges which they are not responsible for. The store is always well maintained and the shelves are neatly stocked. Inventory has not been an issue with most items since months following the end of the pandemic. All around, kudos to the store and the great personnel. My only critical comment is, addressed to the higher ups, please simplify the overly confusing rewards / points program, and the 'overly dynamic' pricing slash margin grabs : shopping for sundry items should not be such a challenge. I think you might be at a competitive disadvantage and lose overall market share as customers get increasingly frustrated. read more

Went to Kaneohe Walgreens to pickup a free photo order. At the photo department, I not only don't have a photo to pickup, I am also blocked from any free photo promotions because I abused the promotions by ordering more than one. The manager said it's one per household, which she said upper management said. At the time of ordering, which promotions I receive through social media, I did not see a one per household rule. Perhaps social media does not include it? Many people receive promotions. Is everyone to ask each other in the same household if they will be using the promotion to make sure only one of us will be using the promotion? Although I did mention this rule to my family members, I do not control their actions. As a result, I have been blocked in receiving their free photo promotions. I messaged Walgreens for the one per household rule twice. No response to first message. Second message, they sent my message to management. It's most likely an automated reply. I suspect Walgreens blocked me from all stores. So what prompted this review? I received a promotional email from Walgreens for a free 8x10 photo. Now, I know the Kaneohe Walgreens is not going to honor it. And I suspect other Walgreens stores as well. I know the emails are sent to subscribers like mass production, like farm letters. Customer service. Worse ever. This location has a drive through. With one clerk servicing drive through and counter. But I think I see a few pharmacist and or pharmacy techs. I didn't realize this pharmacy was this busy! And when it was my turn to finally ask my question, I actually stepped out of the consultation line to the pickup line, the clerk said, oh I'm not sure but if we do have the product, you can find it on aisle 28. I know I wasn't going to find it because it was a special item. So I think I she didn't know what I was talking about. When my brother mentioned about tootsie rolls the other week I wanted to eat that candy too. So I saw it on Walgreens ad this Sunday and I thought I got to buy some tootsie rolls. It was on sale so I end up buying the tootsie rolls and peanut butter crunch which I remember eating these candies when I was small kid. (Still small kid) Lol. At first I didn't find it on the shelf where they normally stock the candies but I decided to go the section where they stock the Halloween candies and I found it. My lucky day. Thank you Walgreens. I'm writing this review because of very disappointing service that I have had at this store's photo department (which is a mess) and the pharmacy. T-Mobile offers free photos for each member regardless of household. I called T-Mobile and was told that every member can participate in the offer. I have attached the actual offer and nowhere does it state one offer for each household. I even called the store and a staff member told me that I can re-order the package which I did. I even had my card on the pick up menu so that I can pay for it should they decide to not give me the free offer and choose to deny it, I would have paid for the order. But the store instead made the decision to just cancel the order without notifying me first I found the customer service personnel to be accusatory as if I'm trying to steal the photos when in fact, as you can plainly see on the offer, it was well within the rules for two household members with separate mobile service to participate. Previously I had a disappointing experience at the pharmacy in which I made an appointment for vaccination. When I arrived I waited in line and did not get any service for well over fifteen minutes. There was no sign at the register window and then I was told by the personnel that one would have to fill out the form and wait at the hallway by the pharmacy. So I waited to be given the form to fill out and then again waited and waited with no service. And then I heard one of the team members complain how unorganized this pharmacy is. That she used to work at the bank or something and this place is unorganized. After waiting for half an hour for service I finally gave up and left. This was just unacceptable. Fast forward to my experience at the photo department and I can see how unorganized this establishment is. If you have a ton of time to waste, and I sure don't, I would not come here ever again for vaccination or photos just to be treated like the way I was by the photo department. How much does the photo department lose when customers receive free photos? Was it worth it for them to alienate a customer based on a policy that was obviously relayed to T-Mobile? Because now I will no longer purchase anything from this store in the future nor will I recommend them to friends and acquaintances. This is not how you treat customers. It is ironic that T-Mobile with its excellent customer service would be teamed up with such a store with such shabby customer service. I also want to add that I purchased an oximeter here (their brand) and it did not last long. At least it did last well after its warranty period. So when I needed this device it's screen indicator was dim I could not even read it. I changed the battery to a new one and same result. I no longer trust their brand when it comes to health devices. I have had other health devices from other pharmacies that work reliably. And I use them to care for my parents. So it is tantamount that they do work when needed. Obviously I do not recommend this store. They have been the worst business establishment I have ever encountered as far as customer service. The one star rating is well deserved. read more

I usually like shopping here . Today how ever with my hands full and a lot going on the pharmacy seemed to be doing some kind of training that did not include helping customers . I'm huge on customer service , you should always help customers first . While I stood waiting no one helped me instead they continued trying to reach the employee how to work the computer . The trainer could have helped me on the many other windows open but didn't . The correct thing would have at least let me put my things down on the counter. When I come after work (7:15am or so), this Walgreens is empty, calm, and clean with lots of parking nearby - even though they are close to Starbucks, Jamba Juice, and Longs... I really enjoy looking at the sales items and once in a while, do an impulse purchase. This past Christmas, I looked at the printed ad that comes in the Sunday paper and wanted to get my sisters something good. I saw the special facial brushes. Thinking that they might need one, I stopped by the store and ordered them - one pink and one lavender. Somehow the order got messed up, but the manager substituted another brand and got me the sales price. She went above & beyond - even calling me at home when the order came in from the mainland! That's good customer service! At other times, I use the kiosk to print our photos. Yes - I'm old school... That's because my aunties, uncles & mom are not high tech. They like photo albums and framed pictures to remember loved ones and special occassions. I give them their memories in the form of photos! When I have difficulty at the Walgreens kiosk, the staff are so halpful and friendly - they always check on me to see if I need help. Even the cashiers are cheerful - they call me "auntie" - hey - how do they know my name?? When I was buying my sister the spam cutter, the clerk jokingly hinted for me to bring some spam musubi for him! Haha! But - my sister already had a slicer, so I went back and returned it - no problem! I also like the wide selection of generic medication. Yes, I try to treat myself instead of going to the doctor. Not sure what happened to this Walgreens on W Market St in York, Pa but it's absolutely impossible to get a hold of literally anyone including corporate. Last month I couldn't reach the pharmacy by phone so after about 2 hours I just decided to take a chance thst my prescriptions would be ready, I sure was wrong. I asked the pharmacy clerk why nobody answered the phone, she said it was only her & the pharmacist. It was not busy at all, when my prescriptions weren't ready, I told her this is exactly why you should be answering your phones. This month it's even worse!! I have tried for 4 hours & of course, no one answered. I decided to call customer service, no answer there either! I tried calling Walgreens & no one answered that main phone either!! Made a Covid test appointment online on the Walgreens website for my boyfriend and his daughter on may 5th. Got the email for the confirmation what to bring , how long it's gonna take to get test results. Which it said 48 hrs.... I'm like ok great 2 days appointment made. When my boyfriend and his daughter get there they took the test and the people there now tells them "oh your results will come in 5-7 days..." WTH !!!!!! 5-7 days talk about FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! I had 3 very important prescriptions called into this Walgreens Pharmacy location. I had them called in on Friday morning and I wasn't able to pick it up same day, so Saturday afternoon I went by because I believed that would be more than enough time for them to have it prepared. I pull up to the drive thru window and they're closed until further notice because they don't have a pharmacist on site. This pharmacy location is ALWAYS busy with people. They could've at least advised our doctors offices that they would be closed because now we can't get our medicine, we can't get it transferred to a different location, we're all screwed. 2nd time I've been to the pharmacy after I dropped off a prescription only to find out they can't find it. The practice doesn't lend itself to a high confidence level. Highly recommend taking a picture or making a copy of any written prescription that you drop off. Then after they admit they "forgot" to scan it in, they tell me they are going to fill it but have me "drive around" before they can fill it. I'm going to keep this simple. My doctor changed one of my meds, a couple of days later the Walgreen's pharmacy called me twice to see how I was doing. WOW, who does that. The staff is incredible all though they could use another person. This Walgreen's in Kaneohe is the bomb. As I live in Hawaii Kai you might think I'd find something closer to home. All my doctors are in Kaneohe for many years. I've built excellent relationships with all these people and will keep it this way. One thing I will not put n up with is when someone else starts yelling at the staff. I will stand up and convey to that customer that the staff might be busy, but they will get to you as soon as they can. I come here for snacks and drinks before getting tattoos across the street. This place is always clean, they have all the snacks I'm looking for, and my candy is always on sale. There is plenty of parking outside. I would be careful because cars whip around the corners and I almost got hit a few times reversing out of my stall. I like Walgreens points system. You get points for buying things and sometimes bonus points for certain items that you can trade for free stuff. I follow a few couponers on Instagram who can get hundreds of dollars of free stuff using their points and coupons. It's hard to find customer service here except for the cashier. Last time I went here I saw a lady ask the cashier for two packs of cigarettes, circle the store and then walked out without paying. I will come back here for my tattoo snacking purposes. read more

The folks who work at this location are friendly & helpful. Plus this location is larger than the Kapiolani location. The pharmacy has a drive-through window which is open 24 hours (like the store). What a great idea esp if you're not feeling well, have kids or elderly who need help getting in & out of the car plus in & out of the store. Terrible customer service, especially pharmacy. My mom had a prescription called in. When she got there they claimed they didn't get the call. Doctors office is right next door to Walgreens. Mom had to call the doctor to make the request again. Mom went to the clerk to check if they got the call they said no and by this time they started to close up for lunch. So my mom had to return hours later for her prescription. No care for their kupuna. No problem we'll take our business to Long's. read more

I like going to Walgreens and I've been to many of them; however, the pharmacy at this Walgreens really sucks. They said I would wait 15min but I had to wait for almost 2 hours!! I just went again today and it took them 15min to answer the drive thru intercom! Then they didn't have my medicine ready and said it would take 30min aka 2 hours so I told them to send it elsewhere. This pharmacy has the worst customer service. I dropped a recurring prescription off at 8:40. The woman helping me said "it will be twenty minutes but we close at nine" so I said "ok, I'll come back right at nine. I'll just wait in the parking lot" she said ok, that was fine. I walked up at 8:59 and they literally started closing the gate in my face. I said, "wait!" And she stopped the gate. She walked around the corner, walked back and said "we're closed" with a real bad attitude. I said "I can't even pick it up?" And she said "nope! We're closed!" And I said "she told me to come back at nine" and she slammed their hours sign down and said "we're closed!!" Still with the worst f'n attitude. Then again closed the gate in my face. This is a medication that my husband is physically dependent on. I could not believe how rude she was. This would never happen anywhere else I've ever lived. read more

2 Stars because I made an online appointment yesterday for 9:30am this morning (10/19/22) but the folks at the drive-thru apparently hadn't bothered to check their schedule. After waiting for several minutes a guy asked me if it was "okay" to wait up to 7 days for the results. It seems that only 2 Walgreens stores on Oahu (Kaneohe and Ewa Beach) have to send the swabs all the way to Tennessee. But he was kind enough to refer us to another facility (Noni Mobile labs) located in the Kaneohe Safeway parking lot mauka. That's guy's apology and demeanor are the ONLY reason that Walgreens Kaneohe didn't get a one-star. That caveat or warning regarding waiting 7 day wait should be posted online. This doesn't make sense to me. Why are the Ewa Beach and Kaneohe Covid-19 test sites being treated like stepchildren? read more

This review is specially for the pharmacy. I pulled up at the drive thru window where I submitted my prescriptions. The tech who worked the window at the time said it would take 1 hour to prepare but to give it 1.5 hours to be safe. After waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes I figure I'd swing by to check on the status of my order. By then another tech was working the window and when she looked up my order she said the tech who received my order didn't even write it up. Therefore I'd have to wait another 1.5 hours. She was very apologetic about the entire situation but decided to cancel my order and take my business elsewhere. My advice to all is to steer clear of this pharmacy! read more

So, Walgreens... All of the Walgreens on Oahu seem to have the same layout, but different from the Maui stores. This store, located on the Windward side, directly across Windward Mall, was more spread out and larger than its Maui counterparts. First off, I had a mission! Looking for some OTC stuff, I was able to find it quickly, without problem. As I walked to the front of the store, there was only one cashier open and she was dealing with a customer who seemed to be checking the prices of every pack of cigarette, I guess looking for the cheapest, yet tastiest one! Seemed like I would be waiting for days... Then, to the rescue came a Walgreen's Employee, local lady with a really fun attitude. I can't remember her name, but she was super friendly and quick. She opened another register to help the others waiting in line since the cigarette connoisseur was having difficulty selecting the right "vintage"! Thank you friendly lady! I wish I got your name! Basically, I was in and out in about 5 minutes, which was about 4:57 longer than normal! (what? TMI?!) Walgreens is a chain drugstore which sells your usual drugstore things, including OTC drugs, candy, perfume, vintage cigarettes, useless stuffed animals, outdated books, etc., so forth and so on. But, it is usually quicker to go to Walgreens then the neighboring Longs Drugs, which BTW, does not sell vintage cigarettes anymore...! And the parking here, just so you know, sucks! Took forever to get my breast pump at the counter I had to come back because they had to confirm something with my insurance then they took forever getting my birth control in the drive through. I went in the drive through because I had my daughter with me and they took forever with every car I don't know what the hell she was doing in the computer. Kaneohe Walgreens is awesome. I ordered a photo book and they had it ready for me in less than 24 hours (same day service). I also order photo prints and they are usually completed in less than a couple of hours. This store has a nice selection of items. Highly recommend!! read more
