    Review Highlights - Longwood Park

The dog park is very quiet and has low traffic, mainly serving the local people who live in the community.

Didn't get to hike but loved all the benches that showcase Culver City views. It's a good park cause you can drive up to certain viewpoints if you choose not to hike.

I hate not being able to give this Park five stars and the reason why I can't give this part five…read morestars is because they say that no dogs are allowed on the way up but yet there's dog poop all over the walking bridge I really like this park because when I have broken my foot in order to exercise This was a great place. They have like a switchback OK so which means you're going higher and higher, but without stairs, right... and six years ago I had a knee surgery where I needed to still exercise, but I just couldn't lift my knee like that just walking was all I could do so I've been in a few predicaments where you know I appreciate having this switchback, I just don't appreciate the dog poop. If you are going to violate the rules and bring your dog which I love animals I love dogs you gotta clean up after your animal. It's not OK to just to leave dog poop on the trail. And also, why aren't my Park Rangers enforcing this rule anyhow, if you wanna take a nice walk, that's gonna give you a little workout without doing too much strain than this is the park for you! At the end of the day, this is a very pretty park where you can actually barbecue you do need to reserve the space. I don't know how much it cost, but I know you need to reserve the space and then you can have a party there there's a skate park attached. I mean it's a nice park just please people be respectful and I guess it's not the Park's fault per se... But if there are Park Rangers, why aren't they enforcing this rule? Also, they lease out some space to this company that does these really cool teambuilding, exercises and wall climbs and stuff. It's pretty cool. I wanted to do it but it was like $100 a person and I was like ouch! All in all, there is a beautiful view when you do reach the top and I don't mean the top on the bottom I mean all the way up to the top has the picture show you can see all the way to the beach on a clear day. It's gorgeous.

I have been wanting to get my boys (two miniature dachshunds) more friends to hang out with…read more However, I did not want to take them to a public dog park because I was concerned they may interact with other dogs who were not vaccinated and get sick or meet an aggressive dog with a distracted owner and get attacked At DOG PPL, they first have you check out the property without your fur babies and by appointment so that someone can walk you through the grounds and show you where everything is. Then, they have you provide information to confirm your fur babies are current on their vaccinations (and I hear they also follow up with existing members regularly to confirm vaccinations remain current). Once all vaccination information is reviewed, they have you schedule a visit with your fur babies to see how they interact with other dogs and humans (social evaluation). Though some yelpers have posted negative reviews complaining they weren't allowed to randomly come by with their fur babies to check out the place, that is one of the very reasons why I love this place. It really means all dogs are vaccinated and have passed the social evaluation. When I visited with my fur babies, it was very busy, and in a good way. There were a lot of dogs both in the smaller dog area and the general dog area where there are larger dogs in addition to smaller dogs having their best time. And every single dog was super friendly. No growling or bad behavior whatsoever iin the slighest. What was even more awesome was how friendly and kind the fur baby parents were. And of course, the staff/crew are fabulous. Even on a very hot day, it did not smell at all. The grounds were kept clean. The beer I had was nice. They have a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and there seems to be a good food menu available that I look forward to trying. The members also told me DOG PPL hosts various fun events. For the month of August 2026, events include movie night, pottery class, game night, sunset DJ set from Alexa Gaxi, workout classes, trivia night and stand-up comedy. I cannot recommend this place enough.

The dogs absolutely adore it here. The newly expanded outdoor space is a standout, and it looks like the kitchen has leveled up as well. There's also a new indoor lounge we haven't explored yet, but from what we've seen, it has real potential.

Their sand area is really neat with a huge whale right in the middle, love the ocean theme and extra little area that's filled with sand that the littles can play while being supervised. There is a swings area with a good amount of them so you don't have to wait for a turn and appreciated that. There are some swings that look like a chair really wish they had a strap for the little ones cause if you were to swing fast they can go forward and really get hurt so this one need to be supervised. The play structure has slides and tunnels and different musical items you can be creative like the drums, rain stick and even a flip the musical note and make a sound very neat. There are many open areas that you have to be careful if you have little ones but still fun. There is a huge area if you wanted to bring scooters or kids cars that they can ride around in a big circle. Love that they have bathrooms and a changing table they are a bit on the smelly side but in an emergency they are good. Very well kept and clean. Love that's it's gated that way littles don't go running off but over all this park is great for all age groups can't wait to be back.
