It's a decent size dog park but there are wood chips everywhere which I hate. It always smells like shit too.

Chill. Nice locals , decent size for main st. All mulch. A few benches and shade. Nice ocean breezes, near some delicious food and coffees!

Parking was a breeze. The park has an indoor room you can reserve if you plan far enough ahead, but the outdoor tables are first come first served. Felix's parents claimed a couple tables and brought two of their own, creating a sizable shady party space right next to the playground. I think the whole area was surrounded by a fence, so none of the pre-school age children could easily wander off. My boys had a blast playing in the sand and on the cute structure. There was also a little set-up for puppet shows, and all the kids kept going over there and pretending to buy and sell ice cream. I live too far from Santa Monica to make much use of Joslyn Park, but I know a good park when I see one. I'd recommend this place if you have young children, whether for party time or just a relaxing hour of play.

They had a covered area outside with a speaker so I could enjoy the church service with my dog after playing at the park! They even brought coffee out to me and had water for my dog. I'll definitely come back on Sunday's more often.

Then, they have you provide information to confirm your fur babies are current on their vaccinations (and I hear they also follow up with existing members regularly to confirm vaccinations remain current). Once all vaccination information is reviewed, they have you schedule a visit with your fur babies to see how they interact with other dogs and humans (social evaluation). Though some yelpers have posted negative reviews complaining they weren't allowed to randomly come by with their fur babies to check out the place, that is one of the very reasons why I love this place. It really means all dogs are vaccinated and have passed the social evaluation. When I visited with my fur babies, it was very busy, and in a good way. There were a lot of dogs both in the smaller dog area and the general dog area where there are larger dogs in addition to smaller dogs having their best time. And every single dog was super friendly. No growling or bad behavior whatsoever iin the slighest. What was even more awesome was how friendly and kind the fur baby parents were. And of course, the staff/crew are fabulous. Even on a very hot day, it did not smell at all. The grounds were kept clean. The beer I had was nice. They have a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and there seems to be a good food menu available that I look forward to trying. The members also told me DOG PPL hosts various fun events. I cannot recommend this place enough.

The dogs absolutely adore it here. The newly expanded outdoor space is a standout, and it looks like the kitchen has leveled up as well. There's also a new indoor lounge we haven't explored yet, but from what we've seen, it has real potential.

Palisades Park is a long linear park that stretches over twenty-six acres along Ocean Avenue. I love the view of the beach from here. There are picnic areas, benches, restrooms and monuments throughout the park. It is a nice park to take a stroll and enjoy the cool breeze from the ocean. Some things to check out while in the park are the Santa Monica Camera Obscura and some civil war canons near the iconic Santa Monica Pier entrance sign.
