Came to this spot due to a friends recommendation and she was 100% correct. The croissants here are magnificent. Took me back to Paris when I had some of the best croissants, where its perfectly flaky & delicious. I tried the original, the raspberry filling, as well as the ham and cheese. All three hit the spot. I liked that the raspberry filled one wasn't too overly sweet. Such a cute charming little bakery with lovely lighting and a few spots to sit. The service was lovely with helpful and friendly workers. There are street meter as well as neighborhood parking though be mindful of the signs!

I am always on the hunt to try baked goodies. Decided to come to Des Croissants Paris because of their chouquettes, which are not commonly found at most bakeries. Chouquettes are airy French pastry made from choux dough and covered with crunchy pearl sugar. They are essentially like cream puffs without the cream filling inside. It's light, airy and subtly sweet from the sugar crystals on top. I also tried their original, plain, croissant, which was flaky on the outside and had a light butter flavoring. It was on the drier side though, but glad it was not oily and it did not leave my hands covered in grease afterwards. I've definitely had better croissants They do sell tea beverages, but no coffee or lattes. I asked the owner if he can add milk to the tea to make it into a "latte-like" drink and he was very hesitant to. He even gave me the feeling of "what a weird request." I ended up not getting a drink for this reason. Overall, it was nice to try once for me, but I wouldn't go out of my way again to come here.

Tl;dr if you want authentic, high quality French pastries / baked goods - you NEED to try Des Croissants Paris!!! I'm a recovering southern France foodie, and by that, I mean i had just come back from a 2 week long excursion in the Mediterranean, where I was the epitome of American gluttony. From 5:30am wakeups, strolls around the city, 5-7 small meals from mom and pop shops - my mouth was a 'mouf'. After coming back home, my heart (ok, honestly my stomach) couldn't stop yearning for that perfectly packaged flaky, buttery, croissant and espresso combo - and after trying half of LA's supposed best - i finally found it. The store is cute and gives off that French vibe. The service is very friendly and helpful (OK that's the one big change from (most) of the Paris stores), and then food.. omg the food.. utter perfection ‍ (If you can't see the emojis, its a chefs kiss). I devoured the Pain au Chocolat immediately with my own coffee, got up, and ordered another, plus a traditional croissant, and the last baguette. Y'all, I kid you not, I cleaned out the bag. Each item was freshly made in the traditional French style, with all the sourced ingredients and steps followed to a tee - no skimping. I'm literally just rambling at this point, but if you want to try a piece of France in our city - this is it! Oh, and they're only open for a few hours a day. And.. you can't get them daily (at this location). Hope you get all the noms you want~

    Little back space with goodies

Let's start with positives - lovely older woman who is very welcoming and sweet - croissant was the star out of the three things ordered (delish) - coffee is great - cute provisions Cons - was super turned off that coffee lids are put on the counter (I was grossed out, younger woman making coffee seemed to not get why that was a hard no) had to mention this to her twice - her vibe was off which was unnecessary after being told about the lids - cinnamon roll was not for me - no bathroom for customers I had another pastry was also a miss for me. Overall this place is really cute, the croissants are amazing, but customer service is split between a really lovely woman and one that I would have preferred not to interact with. Details are so important. I had to mention twice about the lids on the counter where people pay

Let's keep it real. A good croissant is hard to find.... But no need to look any further than this completely charming neighborhood spot! Have been looking for the best of the best croissants in LA and didn't realize this one was practically in my backyard! It's open only a few days a week and the croissants are so flaky and buttery, made with a lot of care and presented perfectly. Several of the offerings change for a different experience every time. Service was great and quick, I ended up getting 5 different items and all of which were amazing! Pricing is moderate but for the quality totally worth it. There is a great little seating area in the back with beautiful natural light and also some things you can buy like jams/jellies and other French items. Street meter or neighborhood parking but watch the street signs for any restrictions! Although a parking ticket might be worth getting for one of these croissants! I absolutely will go back!

Small French bakery that feels a little hidden along that Washington Boulevard corridor in Culver City. I saw somewhere that they have really good croissants here along with other French baked goods and I had to check it out. Parking was fairly easy to find especially on a weekend morning. I was a little surprised because I thought it was going to be a little more crowded. The lady who I can only assume is the proprietor was very friendly and sweet. I ordered a croissant, some coffee, and a baguette to go. The croissant is so flakey and buttery. Seriously so good. Now, I don't make any assertions that I am a croissant expert, but all I know is that I enjoyed every bite of the croissant. And sitting in that small cafe has its own sense of charm in and of itself. Just an amazing small gem of a spot in that Washington corridor and a place I would frequent for the baked goods and coffee.

What a cute bakery! They have fresh squeezed OJ in the front and cute oil paintings of pastries on the walls Raisin Croissant 10/10 (flaky but juicy) Herb Scone 10/10 (a giant red lobster biscuit) Ham & Croissant 10/10 (better as you get to the center, the juiciest piece of ham)

So grateful to have them nearby! It is always a great pick me up to my day. I'm a big fan of their almond croissant & their ham sandwich. The people who work here are always very kind & the location is cozy

In an unassuming spot on Washington Boulevard in Culver City, lies a fantasyland of mouth-watering pastries, breads, croissants, and sandwiches called Des Croissants Paris. Founder Samuel Manar heads up this traditional French Boulangerie Patisserie. Upon entering, your mind will be on overload as you decide which of the tantalizing treats to try. The ambience is simple, clean and fresh with gleaming cases to display the goods. Today I tried the Palmier-a light, crispy treat made from puff pastry rolled in sugar then baked and caramelized into crunchy, sweet perfection. Next I tried the buttery Ham and Cheese Croissant which is now on my top 10 list of the best thing I've ever eaten! The croissant was so buttery and full of ham and cheese. I devoured this and am dreaming of coming back again tomorrow for another one. Finally, I tried the Chouquette-a French pastry made from choux dough covered in crunchy pearl sugar. This was a very light, subtly sweet, perfect with a morning coffee. Service was very friendly and efficient and prices are very reasonable. There is tons of street parking too. Tomorrow morning is just around the corner, so I might be returning!

Service is quick and very friendly! Recommend warming your croissant, sooo fresh and flaky! Not heavy at all. Cute cafe interior and outside tables too! Warm and inviting

You can simple close your eyes, point and not be disappoint by the universe choosing your pastry to enjoy :) I discovered this place by walking by when visiting the Culver City Art Walk and glad I did. I can't wait to go back. A cute and small artisanal bakery on Washington with limited seating but worth the visit and try a few delicious French pastries to go along with your coffee of your choice. Tried their Kouign-amann, cheese and ham croissant, and went back to try their escargot. All super delicious! Service is friendly! Awesome and helpful staff :)

This place is a really charming and cozy spot with a great vibe. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and feels thoughtfully designed. What I truly loved is the variety of pastries--they have an amazing selection, and everything looks (and smells) incredible. They also have a little shop in the back, which is a nice touch and adds some personality to the place. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the spinach and feta croissant. I got two croissants--one plain (which was delicious) and one with spinach and feta. Unfortunately, that one was a miss for me. I've tried this combo at other places and usually love it, but here the proportions seemed off--way too much spinach and not enough feta. I couldn't even finish it. Unless you're really into spinach-heavy pastries, I'd skip that one. But everything else? Absolutely worth trying. Great coffee, great vibe, and amazing pastries

    Pain au chocolat, my favorite!

One of the best pain au chocolat and butter croissants I've ever had! Soft, buttery, and perfectly flaky. I'm not kidding when I say every bite literally makes you close your eyes, it's that good! Des Croissants Paris is a small boulangerie and patisserie you'll find yourself coming back to over and over again. The service is great, and the warm, cozy ambiance is made even better by the aroma of the butter croissants. Everything looks amazing, but my absolute favorites are the croissant and the pain au chocolat. I've finally found my go-to croissant spot, and I can't wait to return again and again.

Chef Yang Soon began developing the reimagined classic Helms Bakery twelve years ago but could not have anticipated the huge changes that were to hit the dining landscape with the Covid pandemic. The decline of going out / dining out, changes in spending habits and the rise of delivery services made this Art Deco styled concept bakery financially unsustainable. Helms has a fascinating history. In 1932 their bread, Olympic Bread, was declared the official bread of the Olympic Games. This led to worldwide recognition. Delivery wagons, or coaches, brought bread, doughnuts and other baked goods to Angelenos' homes with their slogan, "Daily at Your Door." Helms was the bread that astronauts in Apollo 11 took to the moon. World Famous. I've sampled many items in my several visits (driving all the way to Culver City from the SF Valley.) *Breakfast burrito, $14 *Prosciutto/Persimmon sandwich, $17 *Coffee Cake, $5 *Cherry Pie slice, $12 *Nutella-stuffed cookie, $7 *Oat & Medjool Date cookie, $4.50 *Corn & Caramel cookie, $5 *Pistachio & chocolate cookie, $7 *Pecan Molasses, $5 On previous visits: *Olive Oil Cake *Corn Cake All of the above were made with high-quality ingredients, and thus sold at a high price point. All well-crafted and extremely delicious in my opinion. I will miss this place tremendously. I sincerely hope that Chef makes good on opening a Helms bakery in another location in the near future. I'll drive across town for that! R.I.P Helms original, 1931 - 1969 Helms reimagined, November 2024 / December 14, 2025
