I got ham and cheese croissant, mocha latte, and The Works Salmon Bagel. Everything we got was super delicious! Lots of space inside and outside. So if you have a dog, they can relax in outdoor seating. I saw people working with their laptop too. Also the person who was helping us was super nice. We're already planning to go back soon. Ooh why did I wait so long to check this place out? I love that they have so many vegan options. I opted for an iced Oatmilk latte and a toasted sesame bagel with vegan cream cheese. One of the few places in the area that actually has vegan cream cheese and for this alone Baked Bar has moved to the top of my list! So happy I stumbled upon this place! The hours are a little unique, so I used to walk by and wonder about it. After picking up bagels next door one day, I finally decided to stop in. I was sooo bummed that I had already grabbed breakfast, but did that stop me? Nope. The pastry counter is my weakness, and this one is incredible. The pastries stretch the entire length of the counter, and everything looked amazing. The space itself is on the smaller side and gets busy, so I recommend grabbing your order to go. Both the pastries and drinks are fantastic. I've also tried their bagels, which I really enjoy. My only wish is that they had at least one sweet bagel option, like chocolate chip or cinnamon sugar. The staff are friendly, and they move quickly, which I always appreciate. This might be my new favorite neighborhood spot. Made it just in time before they closed for the day & treated myself to an ever so fresh Pan Chocolate. Even at end of the day, the croissant was flaky and fresh, absolute perfection for an afternoon pick me up. I have been working on a project adjacent to Baked Bar and am so glad I've found this little gem. Fresh baked pastries and amazing coffees. I ordered it to drop coffee, and it went perfectly with the things that I ordered. The chocolate chip cookie I got here is probably the top three favorite chocolate chip cookies here in LA so far. The turkey croissant was absolutely delightful and I wasn't planning on getting a second croissant, but I saw the pastrami with the pickle on top and I felt compelled to order it. The good: I got their sourdough bread for $9 (half loaf was $6) and it was great. The sour flavor was apparent, the inside was soft, and the outside had a nice crust without being too thick. We also got a ginger molasses cookie, a seasonal croissant that looked like a Christmas tree with vanilla custard inside, and a Dubai chocolate croissant. Both were SO beautiful. I enjoyed the decadent croissants and liked the custard cream in them. I had expected the seasonal croissant to be dry because it was half off but it wasn't at all and was not stale. I enjoyed both croissants a lot. Both were decadent. They had great options like sage poptart and panettone (that was 20% off). The bad: The seasonal croissant was supposed to be half off of $7 but they charged $8. The worker discovered the mistake and refunded $4 but it should've been $3.50. The molasses cookie was a bit sweeter than I would've liked. The register area and area to look at the pastries behind the display case is narrow. I think there's just street parking. I really enjoyed the selection at Baked Bar. I tried the apricot sage poptart, blood orange blueberry muffin, and a tuna croissant sandwich. The tuna salad on croissant was better than I expected. The croissant was so flaky and light, and the tuna salad tastes fresh and had such great texture with the chopped apples. My cardamom pastry was rock hard. When attempting to rip a piece off it crumbled into a bunch of flakey pieces. Either it was overcooked or they gave me a really old one cause it was inedible. They did not warm it or heat it, so if that's how they serve their pastries then pass, it was such a disappointment cause visually they look great. Nice variety of items, all were pretty pricey but maybe standard for the area. We ended up with 5 things: a spinach danish which was tasty with a nice flaky pastry, the kouign amann which unfortunately was a little underbaked and the apple made the pastry no longer flaky and a little soggy, gingerbread cookie which was quite soft and nice ginger flavor, apricot financier which was a little disappointing, a bit dry and not a ton of flavor outside of the apricot jam, and the butter croissant which looked nice but we gave to a friend so I'm not sure how it was. One big plus for me is that they open at 7:30am every day, which is especially helpful when I want to grab treats in the morning--since some bakeries in Culver City are closed early in the week or don't open until later. I went a friend's birthday party on February 7th, and her family ordered the cake from Baked Bar LA to celebrate the occasion. Not only was the cake absolutely beautiful, it was delicious. It was a white cake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream filling. The cake was beautifully decorated with flowers; they looked real. I've had pastries, breads, and other cakes in the past, and everything there is so fresh and yummy. It's hard to say which pastries are my favorite. They also have the best vegan granola I've ever had. The staff is very friendly and take the time to describe what the pastries are if you have any questions. I have mixed feelings about this place... stopped by on a whim, we were driving back home from Huntington Beach and I was craving something sweet, I found this place on Yelp so we decided to detour. This bakery is beautiful, high ceilings, indoor/outdoor seating...we walked in and we were greeted by a lady behind the counter, she asked if I needed help, I told her I found this spot on Yelp and I needed a minute to explore all the goodies. She didn't even crack a smile and said ok let me know when you're ready and walked away. They have so many items to chose from so I was taking a look at all the items to see what I wanted, she asked me again if I was ready and I told her: everything looks so amazing, you make this a hard choice! Again with a cold look she just said, so you want one of each of these? Keep in mind, I wasn't in anyone's way, I wasn't holding up a line.... So I felt a bit rushed and started to just pick some items for the fam. Her attitude seemed a bit " forced" to engage with me, she charged us, I clicked on the pad to " print receipt" but by then she had walked away and I didn't get a receipt. They had super cute merch that I would have definitely purchased but I honestly wasn't really feeling it anymore. I was very disappointed with my red velvet slice .... It tasted like it was in the fridge for a couple days, very dry and the frosting was meh. On the other hand, the citrus olive oil muffin was so moist and delicious!! My family enjoyed the other items as well. Sad to say I wouldn't take my business here anymore. But, that was just my experience. Stumbled across this bakery during a morning walk. It's a relatively small space, but all the pastries looked beautiful and they also offered plenty of vegan and gluten free options. I tried the vegan almond croissant and it was pretty darn good. Also got some sesame bagels and everything bagels, both of which were big and puffy - I wouldn't call them New York style because they didn't have that crusty exterior. Nevertheless they were excellent. They also offer a decent selection of breads - I particularly liked the baguette. I would definitely come back for more. read more

The bread is pretty good but what's not good are the workers, the blonde guy in the front has the worst attitude i've ever experienced. I've lived in LA my whole life and i've seen rude workers, he kept giving me the snarkiest look as if i were an animal in the cafe. He doesn't even great you it's just "what do you want" with a side of an eye roll. oh and if i were the chef here i would quit because your manager and coworkers were making fun of you in the front while a customer was ordering. Cute cafe but not that attitude, it'll be the reason for the cafes downfall. Everything is baked in house and you can tell that each one is made with high quality ingredients when you see, taste, and smell all the pastries.
