Extremely disappointing experience. I purchased these glasses expecting a quality product, but they were noticeably unbalanced from the beginning. One temple arm sits at a different angle than the other, causing the frame to sit unevenly when worn. Instead of taking responsibility or offering a reasonable solution, the owner refused to exchange the glasses or resolve the issue. I was left with a pair of glasses that I could not wear comfortably and a very frustrating customer service experience. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this optical shop to anyone looking for quality products or reliable after-sales service. If you need adjustment on your glasses, come here and ask for BJ Lee :) I bought my glasses from overseas and needed adjustment so bad. I drove all the way here from Vegas to get them fixed. This is my go to spot for glasses. As soon as he saw my glasses he knew they were very uncomfortable on my ears. Not a lot of places know how to adjust to make them comfortable on your face/nose/ears. This place also carries Korean brand sunglasses which are really cute and fit Asian faces so well. This is the worst optical shop to exist. I recently bought glasses from this shop which were over $1,000. They said insurance would cover for the amount and that the money will be refunded to us in checks. It has been over 4 months and we have not received the checks. When we contacted them, the employees assured us that the money will come very soon, which did not happen. Overall was a terrible experience. The employees were rude and the store was very uncleanly and disorderly. These employees are all frauds. 100% do not recommend. read more

I got my glasses less than a year ago, and the lenses are already heavily scratched, and the paint is chipping. It started chipping less than 6 months after getting them. I called them about it, and they were dismissive, and when I sent them photos of the chipping, they did not respond. I've had to replace the nose pads once already because one just fell off. This was also one of the more expensive pair of glasses I've purchased, and they have held up so much worse than $80 glasses I've ordered online. read more

Avoid at all cost!!!!! Unless you want to get raped. I purchased Lindberg glasses with progressive lenses for $1100. Put lenses in my Oakley glasses. which were cracked due to the lens being cut too large. For another $150. I had to replace my frame and sand down the lens edges to fit correctly. Bought contacts too. The lenses were really thick and asked why they were so thick? They told me because they are progressive lens. I just took their word for it. They didn't focus right and the reader section was too weak. I couldn't even see my phone without taking my glasses off. They told me to wear the glasses lower on the tip of my nose. So far so bad. A year later, I decided to go to another place. After examining my glasses, they identified them to be BOOTLEG Shamir lenses. BOOTLEG!!!! New lens I got were so much thiner and more comfortable. Well, we had gone to the previous owners of this Koreatown Galleria location (Luxi) for many years, so we took my father-in-law (92 years old) there for new glasses because the access was easy for him (elevator). He needed special 'progressive' lenses and we paid A LOT (I think $900) for thin lenses that matched Cartier frames (I think another $1500). First of all the lenses did not come on time (lots of excuses). Second of all they tried to 'bait and switch' us by putting in thick cheap lenses, then when we complained she argued that the thin lenses wouldn't fit the frames we had chosen and Grandpa had liked. She never mentioned a problem when she was selling them. We stood firm and demanded the thin lenses, so back to the factory they went. Now Grandpa still needed glasses, so we bought a pair of Mont Blanc frames and put in his prescription lenses. A lens popped out within a week, finally got them back today. With any luck we will never have to go to this place again. PLUS - the owner who deals with the customers was all fake friendly and helpful in the beginning immediately turned into a witch as soon as things didn't go her way. No apology, no greeting, just sour, sour, sour. She does not understand that high-end prices usually come with high-end service. Not here. Do yourself a favor and stay away. I would give it no stars if I could. The old owners are in the other Korean mall off James Woods and western and they'll be getting our business from now on. read more

I'm not sure how this place appears to have a decent review lol this store used to be located in the galleria on western and now moved to the galleria on Olympic. The owners of this store are so dismissive and rude. My experience here was borderline disgusting and I will never ever be returning - and I will be sure to let all my friends/families know as well. I was literally just putting on my glasses one morning and it just broke off... so to my disbelief, I went into the store and asked if there's anything they can do. Writing this review on behalf of my sister (who lives overseas and doesn't have a Yelp account) because when she told me of her experience here I was livid. I am appalled by the lack of professionalism, dangerous mistakes, and dismissive attitude exhibited by this establishment. Let me start with her eye exam. During her initial visit, the ophthalmologist made a baffling claim that her vision had miraculously improved on its own. Despite her skepticism, she reluctantly trusted the doctor's expertise and accepted the prescription provided. (I Googled it as well, apparently it is possibly but extremely rare.) Upon receiving her glasses and putting them on, blurry. She quickly realized that the prescription was incorrect. It was an alarming revelation, and we can't believe how a supposed professional could get her prescription so disastrously wrong. One would think a trained professional would think twice before giving such an unusual diagnosis. Fortunately, she still had her contact lenses with the correct prescription for her time back home. I understand that mistakes can happen, so this incorrect prescription wasn't the worst part. The worst part is how dismissive and rude the staff at Look Optical were when she returned. They were all smiles when she came back to visit and she retook her eye exam. This time, the original prescription she's always had for years, the same one before this whole ordeal. After this, the staff became noticeably nervous and awkward in behavior. Rightfully so, my sister refused to pay to correct their mistake (she already paid over $800 for her unusable glasses). Their lack of empathy and accountability was truly disheartening. To make matters worse, I was astounded to hear the owner (man of short stature) scoffing at my sister's justified refusal to pay for their egregious mistake. The same owner, mind you, that was so pleasant minutes prior, who even said "That doesn't seem right..." when my sister told him of her improved vision. Such behavior is not only unprofessional but also deeply disrespectful to the customers they claim to serve. She merely requested, politely, that the glasses be replaced with the correct, original prescription that she had relied on for years. However, the staff had the audacity to demand an additional $250 for their own mistake. It was an absurd demand, and she refused to accept responsibility for their incompetence. After some back-and-forth, they begrudgingly offered a discounted price of $150 to rectify their error. However, this token gesture fell far short of what was expected. Their refusal to take ownership of their mistake, coupled with their insistence on extracting additional payment, is simply unacceptable. (Also, had she not said anything, they would've done nothing and taken her money?) What's even more alarming is the potential danger posed by an ophthalmologist providing an incorrect prescription. Vision is a critical aspect of one's well-being, and mistakes in this field can have severe consequences. It is alarming to think that a business entrusted with the responsibility of vision care can be so callous and irresponsible. Clearly, they just want to make a quick sale. In the end, she decided that she did not want to give any more money than she had to this place, and just asked for her prescription and left. I implore anyone considering visiting Look Optical to steer clear of this establishment. Their lack of professionalism, dangerous mistakes, rude staff, and refusal to take responsibility are grave concerns. My mom and I came here to get glasses for my grandparents (grandpa 92 years old; grandma 83 years old) and the staff were so friendly and patient when working with them! They were able to have the glasses ready for us very quickly and the quality was incredible! The glasses were perfect and made my grandparents incredibly happy. My grandpa was so happy and energetic once he was able to see again and immediately picked up some of his sermon notes to see if he could read them. He read them aloud and went on and on about the passage he was reading. We've visited them a few times since they've gotten their glasses and now my grandpa is always reading or doing something around the house instead of sleeping or laying on the couch. He no longer watches TV and is now interested in what decorations are on his wall and what picture frames and put up. I can't express enough how friendly and patient the staff were. They treated my grandparents with dignity and understood that some things took longer than if they were working with someone younger.
