Looma Space is a fun indoor playground for, I would say, kids 5 and under. There's tons of imaginary/pretend play, a dress up station, a slide, a ball pit, an infant play area, a great lounge/seating area, and a cafe! It's also cleaner looking than other indoor playgrounds. During our visit, some staff vacuumed the play area and wiped down some areas, which was nice to see. I'd recommend making a reservation online prior to your visit to make the check-in process faster. You then put your shoes in the cubbies and are escorted to the seating and play area. While I do enjoy their modern wooden toy selection, I also love how spacious their seating area is so you can supervise your kids if you get a seat near the play area. They also have cameras set up in hard to see areas. After your play session, your kiddos get to redeem a toy from their cart. It's such a cute touch and makes the experience even more fun! I've been waiting for Looma Space to open since I got wind of it on Instagram, and it's finally open so you should check it out! Currently, it's only a soft open so you have to purchase a 10 ticket play pack to reserve a time to enter. You can use it towards multiple kids so you can split it among siblings or friends. I went today with my daughter and the owners are so welcoming and sweet. Once i checked in, they gave us a coupon towards a choice of a toy from their adorable cart filled with kiddie goodies, a balloon or a Photobooth print out. My daughter loved it here! There are so many cute areas both upstairs and downstairs with kiddie carts filled with toy flowers, ice cream, construction tools, etc. Also, the place is brand new so everything is immaculate, and there are ladies going around constantly cleaning & organizing which is a nice plus. read more

Just paid $75 for my 3 kids for the 5-7pm session. Got here at 5:45 and the kitchen is closed. There went our whole plan of dinner, playing, and a much needed coffee for this exhausted mom. Why wouldn't you wait until 6:30 for last call? Is it really that hard to accommodate kitchen orders and hour and 45 minutes before closing? I worked in so many restaurants, and we served people up to closing. Also what a bad revenue decision. Very confused and disappointed. We love Looma. This place is so clean, adorable and fun. My daughter loves it! They have so much to fun pretend play things from an ice cream and flower cart to a ball pit and slide. My daughters favorite spot is the play kitchen. They have a super cute photo booth, good food, and classes you can add on. We've only been able to participate in the music class and dance class once each but they were so fun and interactive. The kids also get a Looma filler to exchange for a small prize when we leave. I was worried when we first booked because of the pricing and not seeing how we could possibly stay 3 hours but it is SO possible. Pros: the food menu is great! So many choices for parents and children. -a lot of seating for parents/families -your child gets to choose 1 toy on the way out. This helps prevent tantrums if you need to leave. -the staff is friendly and is always trying to keep the place clean. Cons: -pretty expensive. I understand maybe it's because of the location. While I understand the importance of enforcing rules for safety, the behavior of the staffs was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. During my visit , I was shocked to be yelled by a staff named Amornia that she said my son pushed a kid and throw toys, even though I was watching my son play and I didn't see him have any inappropriate behaviors , I still on my way to correct him right away after she yelled and looking for the parent. I just want to make sure the house rule what type of toy could not throw since there were couple ball pits there too. But Amornia kept yelling at me and told me :"of course you can not throw any toy ! the rule is on the wall and you signed the wavier include the rule also this is common sense!!! " I was shocked to be criticized by a staff member for supposedly lacking common sense to ask a question. I went to slide and talked to my son for couple times , then he stopped play at that area. then I read the rule on wall, i was surprised not find the rule Amornia lectured me loudly in the public at all. But later the other staff admitted that Amornia made up the rule ..... So I came back try to talk to her again but there is another lady told me she would took over the conversation meanwhile a parent came over and said my son pushed her daughter earlier , I apologized to her and told her I would ask my son to apologized to her daughter too, she walked away and soon she left with her daughter. Afterwards, while I was talking to another staff member and a parent, Amornia loudly gossiped about me to other parents, repeatedly emphasizing that "this is just common sense!" My friends overheard her conversation while I was engaged with the other staff. After I got the email of the place and the staff's name, I sit back , 5 mins later, the other staff came over and asked me to leave because this is their another house rule . I am very confused for the following reason: 1) Why the staff can made up a rule without any apologize even it find out she was wrong to present the house rule within 10 mins she yelling at me. 2) Why the staff can yelled at a customer and answer the question with " this is common sense" 3) I didn't have confrontation with other parent , I apologized , why I still get kick out after the parent already left with her kid. 4) I wrote a email to the owner since she was not on the site, an email replied with no name and just gave me an lecture with no apology and stated that they have to asked me leave because : they offered both parties to leave to avoid any additional confrontation.( I put the email in the picture) 5) Is that normal for a business replied an email but not put any name on? I emailed again asked who is the person reply this email behalf this business but no one replied. it has been 4 days. 6) Their email did say that they work extremely hard to make sure that they keep their standards high, so is that normal high standard for the staff to present the wrong house rule with that attitude? 7) If a confrontation happen, should the staff try to de-escalate or should she gossiped on the site with a very load voice ? this action was high standard ? or just unprofessional...... 8) Given the owner's purported dedication to the business, would it not be advisable to provide an email address that the owner monitors? 9)During previous visits with my husband and his friends, we were treated differently. Why is there a discrepancy in the treatment of customers? 10) If they want to update their new house rules to : not throw any toys. should they remove the ball pit ? I saw kids threw balls everywhere. they have two ball pits. 11) I didn't see myself do anything wrong that confirm the house rule before I talked to my son and correct his actions , but I just want to make sure I talked him correctly, it will put me in a hard position that after I told him not to threw toys at all, but he asked why all other kids can threw toy....... what should I answer??? this place doesn't like you or this is a experience of being discriminated/bullied? 12)One of the rules sent via email was "please be kind." The package comes with an reserved table with cupcakes, paper plates, paper cups, napkins, balloons and a box of toys. The toy box came with a slinky, stickers, tattoos, a strawberry squeeze toy, a notebook, a straw, and a few other items. Themes to choose from included unicorn, race car and more. I chose the cat theme. The table scape came with 6 balloons and a wooden stand for the cupcakes. I purchased an additional 3 cupcakes for $5/each. Cupcake flavors included red velvet, strawberry, chocolate and vanilla. The cupcakes were so incredibly moist and above average! The worker brought it out and lit 2 candles for us as well. She also sang happy birthday. The package came with a $25 food voucher. We got the dirty matcha drink, chicken nuggets, French fries, sweet potato fries and bulgogi pizza. The food was all great. The nuggets were extra crispy. The fries came with ketchup and bbq sauce. The bad: The drinks are pricey. The try-on clothes are a little dirty now after a lot of wear from other kids. It took a while to get a person to talk to at the cafe counter. I wish the mini celebration package came with a water pitcher for the table. The interesting: They have events here like a tae kwan do event and story time. My friend told me these kid cafes are common in Korea. I wish we had more of these around! We finally made it here. We really appreciated how thoughtful the owners were to include food and drinks ordering that is reasonably priced for ordering. Kiddo enjoyed the venue overall. I do think it's a bit hectic in terms of stuff all over the place, worn furniture that looks like it needs some deep cleaning that adults were also sitting on, but should not be.I'm giving it 4 stars because I do think it need extra staff capacity for more cleaning/tidying. Love the concept and was excited to visit for the first time with my 4 year old twins. Food was great, modern tech/setup, and kids seemed to have a good time. However, I have to deduct one star because both my kids were scratched and pinned to the wall and punched by some other kids. It ruined my kids' experience. Suggestion for the owners (this wasn't done when we were allowed in) - aside from the waiver, please remind all parents and children that there is no hitting, biting, scratching, fighting allowed. Allow parents to report it to staff and give parents a warning that children who continue that behavior a second time will have to leave. There weren't enough parents watching their kids because they were on their phones or eating at the cafe. I don't think we'll be back unless there's a bit more emphasis on safety besides the waiver. We love going to Looma spaces but I have to warn other families out there. Over two weeks ago I made a reservation on line. When I checked my bank later that day, the charge had came out twice. I hoped it would just go away but after it cleared a few days later I made a call to Looma to get my money back. They took $60 twice. The lady on the phone apologized and did say this happens often. This was almost three weeks ago. I've rang three times and still haven't received my money back. I'm now having to file a claim through my credit card. The climbing steps up the to the second level are fabric covered wood and the padding is so worn down that it is painful. kids will get injured on this; I hurt my foot and was in pain for a few days. They should replace some of the worn out, broken wheels on the cars and other worn items. Older kids should be monitored by staff if the parents are not going to monitor them. Or the staff should tell the parents they will need to leave if they do not monitor rowdy, unsafe behavior. This is a rare instance where I can say "I wish Yelp allowed more than 5 stars". Looma Space is the children's play place/parents' chill space duo that my wife and I have been yearning for. We used to frequent the Twinkle Twinkle cafe that used to be located here and even had our sons birthday one year. When we found out Twinkle Twinkle had closed down, we were heartbroken as we really enjoyed it. Looma did an absolutely spectacular job of building another world from the ground up. They took our expectations and exceeded them astronomically. Parking is a very easy as this entire plaza is nestled off of Palos Verdes Dr N and doesn't crowd up. The second we walked in, we knew this place was special. The owner politely welcomed us in and made check-in a breeze. The kids wasted no time getting to work. The space is so beautifully designed and lit up perfectly. They did not miss a beat while designing everything. The main play space is immaculate and like no other play place we've ever seen. They have a giant slide made out of slick wood which is such a nice contrast to the baby blues covering the play area. The parents' area is incredible and has ample seating with options of chairs, booths, bar chairs, etc. The cafe in the corner has all your caffeine and pastry needs. We got iced lattes and a good morning roll and they were not your average cafe bites, they were delicious and of good quality. The restrooms are squeaky clean as is the entire place. They even provide these awesome shark sandals for adults as well as kids for a sanitary peace of mind. There is an abundance of different activities for kids ranging from ball pits, block room, pretend ice cream shops, pretend restaurants, magnet fishing, etc. It's truly awesome! From 5-star customer service, cleanliness, play options, cafe, and lounge space, this is the ultimate dream for parents looking to relax while their kids adventure in a safe space. This was our 2 year old's first indoor playground experience, and when he had a hard time in the beginning (taking off his shoes, entering a new environment, etc) the owners were so understanding and kind. My son now loves going and asks to play at Looma whenever we can. It's become a place where we can meet up for play dates, make new friends, or just drop by for some play time after daycare. And the food, my goodness! The dalgona coffee is fantastic and they use quality ingredients in all their dishes - our favs are the sliders & fries, bulgogi, and strawberry croffle. What we love most about this place is that the owners have picked purposeful toys from great brands and the play stations really allow kids to explore imaginative play. The place was clean and the staff were great! The gentleman working the front was very friendly and was always spotted walking around and picking up toys, keeping the place clean. The bathrooms were clean and the food was great. I also have to give a shout to Amanda who worked the food counter. Unfortunately I have dairy, soy and egg restrictions due to breastfeeding. On April 1st, I was on my way to meet my friends at Looma space for our kids' playdate when I received a phone call from one of my friends. She informed me that she and her son had been asked to leave. After hearing her account of the incident, I was furious--yes, very angry! My friend was told that her son had broken several rules, such as throwing toys and pushing other children, by a very rude staff member. I've visited Looma space several times before, and on my last visit, I witnessed three kids, aged around 5 or 6, throwing various toys from the kitchen window into the outdoor area. They even accidentally hit my 2-year-old daughter and my friend's daughter with some of the toys. Despite this, neither the staff nor the parents intervened, and I myself didn't intervene either. The staff indeed need to maintain safety, but it should be done in a reasonable manner. Any rude or disrespectful behavior should not be accepted, especially in a setting where children are supposed to be treated with love and provided with role models. The children were clearly having fun, and as a mom, I understand that kids enjoy playing with toys. As children grow older, they learn and explore, whether it's losing toys or even squabbling with each other; it's all part of their development, and there's no need to overreact. It's the reactions of adults that determine the course of events. We didn't even know why my friend's son pushed the other child. From the rude staff to the manager to the owner, no one showed any remorse to my friends and their sons regarding this unpleasant situation. Initially, I thought Looma space would be a great place for kids to have fun and for parents to relax. However, unprofessional staff members have left me feeling extremely frustrated, and it has caused psychological distress for the children. The place is immaculately clean and very nice. However, I don't think there's a point to making a reservation because there are plenty of kids at any given time. I have been here as the 1st time slot to anywhere in-between to early afternoon. It is always packed and as another parent mentioned, some kids are just out of control with their parents not watching them due to being on the phone or at the cafe. Little kids are being trampled by the older ones. Luckily my 3y/o boy is tough. Not to say that my 2 young boys are not crazy (who isn't at that age?) at times, but I have my eye on them and can disciple when they are out of conduct. I read good reviews about it and took my two kids there today. There weren't that many kids in there around 9:30am and more people started to show up later around noon. My two kids (2 year old and 7 year old) both had a good time there. But I think my older boy is too big for it and it's more for the younger one and babies. Summary: reasonable price, clean and organized space, friendly staff, would definitely come back. I came across this place while searching for new indoor playgrounds nearby, and despite living in OC, we decided to make the nearly hour-long freeway drive to give it a try. I highly recommend reserving open play slots and signing the waiver in advance, especially on weekends, as they tend to reach their maximum capacity quickly. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the front staff, who efficiently checked us in and verified that we had signed the waivers - which we had thankfully done beforehand. We were then directed to leave our shoes in the cubbies, while my handbag was allowed to accompany me inside. It's important to note that our toddlers' bottles were only allowed to contain water in order to be brought to the play area. After checking in, the front desk attendant gave us four stickers with the timestamp to adhere to our clothes. Now, let's talk about the space itself. I was particularly impressed with how clean and well-maintained the entire area was, from every nook and cranny to the constantly attentive staff who were tidying up. Despite their system indicating that they were nearing maximum capacity, I didn't find it as crowded as some of my local indoor playgrounds. Their toy selection and play stations were of high quality, featuring wooden and felt toys, which were much more appealing than plastic alternatives. However, it's worth noting that some of the toys, especially in the salon area, showed signs of wear and tear. Did I mention that this indoor playground had two floors? Yes! The second floor opened up to a more spacious play area with a pretend RV, railroad, fishing setup, and a slide. The first floor was brimming with imaginative play areas like a doctor's office, costumes, car repair shop, flower shop, ice cream parlor, hair salon, and ball pit. We also decided to order some food from the cafe, which included french fries and chicken nuggets. To my pleasant surprise, the french fries were delightfully crunchy, and the nuggets were moist and incredibly tasty. Upon check-out, we redeemed our two Looma Space tickets for items from their cart. Needless to say, our kids were overwhelmed with the choices and started crying due to indecision and regretting their previous choices. If your kids are anything like mine, I recommend selecting the toys for them and handing them out on the way out to prevent any tears. While the price is about $10 more than what we typically pay at our local indoor playgrounds, I must say it's worth every penny and the hour-long drive. Place is kept clean but don't expect your kids to be safe. Been here 3 times and every time a parent not watching their kids lets their child make mine cry. Not worth the 30 bucks. Also I'm not sure what they put in their coffee but it gives me and everyone I know who's had it the runs. Plenty of better places around that are safer read more
