Once we got there, we realized the pizza spot was more of a takeout kind of place, but luckily I noticed the brewery nearby. I asked the bartender if we could bring our pizza over, and they were totally welcoming about it. Sat outside which had misters so kept us cool. They had a good amount of flavor but the tortillas they use fall apart and it's very messy. I sat at the bar and the service was great! The menu has a lot of options and so does the drink menu! Foods great... we came with a group of eight and we're told that the kitchen was backed up would take us a while to see then they sat about 14 other people before us before we got a table. When we finally sat down, I ordered a meal to go when we first ordered our food. We ate hung out still waiting for my food. Had lunch and some beers with my wife on a Thursday, and it was fairly busy. Service was excellent and made some great suggestions on both food and beer. Interior and exterior were clean and have a rustic pub feel. We sat outside and were comfortable because of the heat lamps. Although I was excited to try their beer, they don't offer flights, so I asked for several tastes, which they accommodated. Everything I tasted was okay, but several had some off or weird flavors I don't associate with the style. Plus, they had too many IPA's that were too similar. That said, it was the food that stood out. We opted for the BBQ sampler of brisket and ribs and it was excellent. They offer game night on Friday nights. We lucked out with this Friday being music bingo. Got a couple of beers and grabbed some food from Messy Tacos and Motorhead Pizza. Ordered a plate of pulled pork nachos, and they came out burnt to hell. No taste from anything except the overload of olives. Pulled pork, no taste, cheddar cheese, no taste, salsa, guacamole, no taste. Tried to add their bbq sauce, was like water with just a hint of taste. Waiter asked how our order was, we stated we were not impressed. The waiter just blew it off. We stopped eating the nachos a quarter of the way through. Waiter noticed we were finished. Brought us our bill by just placing on the table as he slipped on bye. Looked at the billed, he was charging us for the uneaten nachos, and a Diet Coke. I caught him when he walked back bye and informed him that we were not going to pay for the nachos and asked him to get a manager, he said he would. A couple of minutes later he returned to our table and took the nachos away, then came back and mentioned over my shoulder behind me that we were good to go no charge. I informed him that I wanted to still talk to the manager. A couple of minutes later a young lady walked up to our table and I asked her if she was the manager, and she stated that she was the acting manger for that shift. She never asked what was wrong with the food, I said to her how long have you been a manager, she said a little over a year. I said to her that she needed better training because you don't send a waiter back to a table that is requesting to talk to you, so he can just tell us we are good to go. She said well I have to check with the Sous Chef and the Chef because they out rank her and they make the decisions about refunds. Then this manager proceeded to hand us a bill with just the Diet Coke on it. I left the bill on the table because her delegated waiter told us we were good to go. Needless to say, we will not be going back to Loomis Basin Brewing. read more

I am so grateful for this place! We had our wedding reception here, kind of a non traditional venue. I couldn't have been happier with our decision. The entire staff from the beer tenders, the pizza guys and and the coordinator Clancy were just absolutely wonderful. We had the time of our life, it was such a cool vibe having a semi casual venue. Clancy was on top of everything, and made sure the place was in top shape. They even had all the tables redone right before which was such a bonus surprise. Everything looked beautiful. I love their IPA, although Alowhawk is their most popular beer at about 8%. You must be 21 years old or older. A friend and I stumbled upon this place, after discovering Boneshaker Community Brewery to be closed on a Tuesday! Loomis wasn't too far away, so we took the short drive. It's definitely a nice, casual-laid-back community hangout. The server there knew patrons by name. The TVs provided some entertainment too. Patio for visitors in the back if there's a crowd up front. We were allowed to sample a few bars, which worked out great! We weren't interested in doing a tasting of all the beers; neither of us like really dark beers. As a person that seldom drinks beer, I was drawn to the lighter tasting Alohawk beer. I got two glasses, or two pints, for $8. Not bad at all, plus we snacked on their pretzels. That's all they had to eat. Great thing they have a variety of outside vendors (food trucks) come in the afternoons, with a nice detailed summary, by date, of the different vendors and bands that'll be by in view. This particular day, North Border Taco came by. Best $5 I've spent in awhile for two tacos. There is nothing on their website indicating kids aren't allowed. We were truly shocked to learn that we couldn't bring our kids to pizza and live music night. Nearly all breweries in the sacramento area are family friendly, so it is sad to see that a family oriented town doesn't have a brewery that welcomes families. The first thing that drew my eye when I walked up to this place was that there was a cat roaming around! Located at the end of a gravel driveway in a very secluded street in Loomis, this brewery is a lot bigger than you would expect. We initially walked into the front tasting room looking for our party and couldn't find anyone. Once we asked one of the workers, he gave us a whole tour of the place, which included a large back outdoor patio with multiple long patio tables that we had not seen originally. We ordered two half pints of the Mandarin and Alohawk- mandarin being a lot more sweet and alohawk was much more bitter. I saw multiple people trying flights here- will go for that next time! Everything was SUPER cheap. One pitcher for 5 dollars and two half pints for 6 bucks! There is parking out front with another lot in the gravel fenced in area at the end of the path. There are multiple buildings around here too which have parking lots. The brewery is small but fun. You can play cornhole here or sit around with your friends. They regularly have food trucks although on specific days. They also have live music that plays there! Make sure you check the hours as they tend to close pretty early! read more

It's easy to miss, as their sign is somewhat obscure. I noticed the word "gastropub" painted on the backside of the building, as we were parking. We walked up the back, all the way around the building and past two other eateries, before we found the front door. There is a little seating area out front, so look for that. Friends had arrived early & secured a large table out front. We saw many groups waiting for tables. So, arrive very early if you have more than 4 in your party. I'm not sure why someone was complaining about not being able to bring kids, they must have LBB confused with some other place. We had 4 kids at our table and my buddy beings his girls here on a regular basis. They have a children's menu, with healthy side options. I chose an Alohawk, which lands on the booze scale at 8.0. It was delicious and I'm not typically a beer drinker. My pulled pork nachos were freshly fried and smokey. The brisket sandwich was pretty good but it could use some sort of a sauce to elevate it. The meat was tender but not melt in your mouth. Their full order of garlic fries is a huge mountain o' potatoes. The potato salad was very sweet and relish forward. Service is where they could really focus some attention. We had to ask multiple times to order, and to get our check. After waiting a very long period of time waiting for help, when we were finally able to flag someone down for something, we were told we had to wait for our server only. That happened 3 or 4 times. I would not recommend coming here if you are in a hurry. I did hear one female worker helping people out and she seemed to hustle, so maybe it's a matter of who your server is. I really feel like they land somewhere between 3-4 stars right now, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. read more
