Loon has a lot of things going for it - easy freeway access, a lot of terrain including a recent expansion, speedy lifts and a few mid-mountain lifts with shorter lines. But the speed of the lifts and ease of access means that the mountain can get uncomfortably crowded, especially on weekends. The layout of the mountain sends large numbers of skiers and riders down a single trail - resulting in a choke point of people skiing very close to each other and very compromised snow quality on these particular trails. Trail diversity is decent, though the gladed areas are few and far between and there aren't a ton of cruisers on the main mountain - most runs are short in length and lead to junctions with other trails, requiring frequent stops. The newer part of the mountain does have some longer, uninterrupted runs, including one called, appropriately enough, Cruiser. With lift ticket prices on the higher side, there are better options in the white mountains. With good snow on a weekday, Loon would probably be a great place to explore, but it gets quickly overrun with weekend warriors - many of whom don't ski within their ability level and don't abide by the rules. read more

Hello, I would like to tell you, I enjoyed the establishment. I've been there twice, but this past weekend was the first time I decided to ski. I came on 3-8-19 around 1'ish. Everything was great, from the front staffs to the equipment rental (Ben). Got me the biggest helmet because of my dreadlocks lol. This guy was awesome, his personality was very welcoming and encouraging. Even the guy working the bunny escalator that day was great, I fall twice in front of him, and on the 3rd time he caught me. Everything was perfect expect this guy on your staff wearing a red coat telling another client he was training that "I guess they don't ski in Jamaica" when I fall the first time. It took everything in my power to listen to my girlfriend and friends for me to not go there and give this guy a piece of my mind. The disrespect, from this guy ruined what could of been a great day. I would never forget his face, because each time I get on the escalator I would see him. Overall my experience was great, because of your other staff members. Next year when we go our our annual camping trip, we will look for something else. Thank you read more

Waited in line for 30 minutes for the bus at south lot then a employee told us to walk because the bus might not come. Then absolutely trashed my brand new skis on undercut which is inexplicably open. Extremely dissapointed new customer here. read more

We stayed there in a suite last September and we had to drive to a Walmart to get cleaning supplies before we would unpack our bags. The room hadn't been vacuumed, the bathrooms were filthy dirty and the kitchen was sticky. By chance we had to move one of the sofas and there was literally an inch of dirt under there. The door lock was not functioning and we had to constantly ask for help from the front desk. We asked to be moved to another suite but were told they had a conference and two weddings and had no other rooms available. We checked out early and went somewhere else. PROS -Familiar- I've skiied here many many times and know the trails and resort. I know the semi-secret clean bathroom (I won't tell!), places in the lodge to store and easily access your backpack, where and when the crowds are and how to avoid...it just makes for a better ski trip. - Variety and conditions of trails & terrain- there's something for all levels and abilites, snow is pretty consistent and usually not bad. - Nice beginner areas- I'm learning to snowboard too and this area will keep me busy while I practice and work on staying on my feet. - Distance- 2 hours from Boston makes an easy day trip. There are also outlet stores in Tilton on the way back :) CONS -Lift lines 15-20+ minutes long. Tip- check out North or South Peak to avoid the gondola and Kancamagus quad lines. -With the crowds, snow cover on the trails get thin toward the end of the day...usually happens at most places, but even faster here. Stick to less travelled and the edge of trails for the better snow. -Parking- if you do not get the 1st parking lot, you're delegated to the lower lot or worse, across the river. - Cost- Over $70 for a weekend ticket...craziness, I tell ya. - Traffic on I-93 in NH on the way home read more

Loon is my go to mountain when I'm in New Hampshire to ski/snowboard with family and friends. Currently, their full day adult lift tickets are $85 ($10 off if you've got your student or military ID) or $75 for a half day starting at 1pm. Lots of trails, and they are well groomed with really nice lifts. I hate getting off any lifts when I'm on my board (as opposed to skis), and am thankful for their speedy gondola so I can avoid it. I'm on the beginner/intermediate side, and have no trouble with their greens and blues. They can be a bit steep at times, but it's totally manageable. Loon is situated in a cute town, and theses lots of affordable eating/drinking spots to visit after your time on the mountain. read more

After an insanely icy day of snowboarding 3 years ago I had pretty much written off Loon Mountain...but I went again this weekend and had one of the best days of snowboarding in a long time. The mountain pretty much stayed sunny all day, and the snow was super soft and powdery...really nice! the only bad thing about loon is that everyone and their rad grandma likes to hit the slopes there...long lift lines are a drag, and my husband refers to it as the " ski mall". there iiiiis one section of the mountain that stays pretty slow all day...but i can't tell you where because i'd like it to remain that way : ) read more

This isn't a skiing review. I go to Loon Mountain every September for the Highland Games and Scottish Festival. They have the gondola and chairlift running if you want to ride to the top (although they do charge). At the top of the mountain, there is a playground for kids, some trails through the woods, and a building with food and bathrooms. Also, there is a sweet three story viewing tower and some caves (they built a wooden walkway to them and marked the caves) that you can explore. At the bottom of the mountain, they have the Octagon and Governor's Lodges, which have always been very clean. I thoroughly love going there! read more

My fiance and I decided to stay a weekend with a Groupon we had found online. The hotel was actually booked except for groupon during peak leaf peep season (first weekend in October). We had to buy 2 groupons to stay 3 days as there was only a 2 day and a 1 day offer. Still cheaper. The groupon came with $25 toward en antree (with adult entree purchase) and $25 toward spa which we did not use, one for EACH groupon bought, so 2 of each total. The room was a suite as the single rooms cannot accomodate a 3rd person and we took our 3 year old. Bummer! Either way we had a LOT of extra space and a full kitchen in the separate 2nd family room. All very neat (although we did find a random candy bar wrapper under the folding bed) and the bathroom was less clean than I would have expected. The 2nd day the hotel cleaning staff did not empty our garbages so they were overflowing with trash and we did not see any recycling receptacle even though there was a sign to recycle. She also didn't make our beds really well. It was convenient to have the fridge for take out and/or leftovers as the dining portions were bigger than anticipated, and the kitchen came in handy even though we didn't cook anything over the weekend. We loved the Gondola and riding up the mountain...my 3 year old especially loved the treehouse lookout up top and the rock climbing caves. There was a wedding going on when we arrived- absolutely stunning, so much so that we looked into it but we just wouldn't have as many guests at our wedding as they require for Loon. Beautiful backdrop for pictures and a cute little lounge/cafe up top to sit and have lunch or chat. We did take a peek at the spa and swam in the pool a few times but otherwise we went off property for local sightseeing and activities. Not far from Storyland or Clark's Trading Post, Attitash Slides and we rode the Harvest Time Hobo train and had lunch nearby which was nice. The service by phone and in person was excellent and aside from a few small complaints that are easily dismissable, we would come back and visit. read more

This was the first mountain I snowboarded at so I will always remember fondly but I will also remember being run over at some points by crowds of people ... they need to widen the trails at some points so this does not happen. Other than that, great but overpriced food!! Overall experience... I would take my kid here if I was visiting. read more

I went to Loon for a snowshoeing weekend with my girlfriend. We did the river trail on our own. It's a fairly short and easy loop. It can be done in an hour if your in decent shape. No need for a tour. We also did the loon peak tour. Our tour guide Ashleigh was fantastic. She was friendly and engaging. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. The trip itself was great. You take the gondola up to the summit and snowshoe down, crisscrossing across the mountain. The views are fantastic. The trip took us about 90 minutes. I rented a pair of snowshoes from the adventure center. I'm a pretty big guy and my size 16 boots did not fit into the snowshoes. They only have up to 30" snowshoes as well. I would definitely have benefitted from a 36" shoe. read more

This small ski area is holding it's own, with decent snowmaking and grooming keeping them in the game as some competing areas try to keep pace with what is an ever more difficult business. I arrived at loon Mountain, off of natural remedies and ample amounts of stew, however at the ticket booth I was greeted by a gentleman by the name of Bob. Bob seemed more like he was off more cake than myself. than he based on his the level of rudeness and attitude I received. His comments were crass and I was getting the urge that he wasn't enjoying his job. Regardless, every request I made seemed like an inconvenience to Bob. This didn't settle right with me, as every time I attended the loon mountain resort I look forward to service comparable to chick-fil-a. Along with this, Bob continued to pester me with comments regarding my mask and the status of myself maintaining social distancing guidelines. At this point, I was convinced that Bob had lost it. This comments were made while I was wearing a mask. This was something that I didn't understand. Ultimate, my day of skiing at loon mountain and resort consisted of Bob's due diligence and mediocre power. read more

I am really not a big fan of Loon. The mountain is - overall - quite nice with some decent trails and typically some good snow. That's where the star comes from (and the fact that I cannot give 0 stars). Everything else is terrible: - The crowds are rude, incompetent, and many of them out-of-control. Way to many people on the mountain on a typical weekend day, and many of them coming up from Greater Boston for the day, so they are already stressed out before they hit the slopes. - Some of employees have a strange attitude towards rules on the trails: I overheard an employee telling his daughters that - when out of control - to rather crash in a group of people than getting off the trail: No comment! - The facilities can barely handle the crowds, bathrooms are dirty and the nursery is a heartless kennel for children. read more

Great big mountain just off the highway (unlike North Conway) so it is an easy commute from Boston. The intermediate trails are from the top down, so my wife can stay with me throughout the day vise having to go on her own. The "snow" is quickly pushed to the side where the trails merge, leaving a giant sheet of ice - welcome to the North East... Ticket prices are outrageous, so our family only goes once a year. Maybe next year we'll skip skiing all together and just eat out. read more

Did a day trip here the Saturday of MLK Jr. weekend and had a great time. It was only a 2.5 hour trip from Boston and even getting a late start, we were on the mountain by 10:15pm. I would recommend buying your ticket in advance and then just picking it up at the Octagon Lodge ticket window. My limited interactions with the staff were great and everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. For a winter where Boston hasn't seen much snow, and Loon had reportedly only got a few inches over the last 7 days, I was pleasantly surprised at how much powder there was to start the day. I credit that to a cold week and good weather for snowmaking. It is the east, so as the day grew later, the trails got a bit icier but that's too be expected. I am an advanced intermediate-expert skier and the mountain was perfect for my ability. There were a lot of blues and blacks that seemed to weave in and out of one another. My friend and I noticed that there weren't a lot of green trails which I found odd considering Loon seems to be a very family-friendly resort. If you're more of a novice, I would recommend Waterville Valley which is in the same area, but a bit more beginner focused. Despite it being a holiday weekend, the crowds weren't bad. We didn't have to wait at all for the North Peak Quad which allowed us to get more runs in. There were a few times when my friend and I were the only ones on the trail. That said, we made an effort to avoid the family areas, which are clearly marked. We rode the Gondola a few times and the average wait time was around ~15 mins. Not a terrible amount of time to wait given it takes some time to get down the mountain and you can always stop at the other quads and get back up to the peaks pretty easily. We were able to get 11 runs in which was great - and for the $83 ticket, it was only $7.5 dollars per run. This is not the cheapest mountain but given the size of the mountain, the snowmaking, and accessibility from the highway, it is well worth the price. The only downside was that it took 2 hours and 15 minutes to go three miles and get on 93 leaving Loon. I have never experienced anything like it. While we couldn't see an accident, there must've been something (or a traffic light out) because once we got on 93, it was smooth sailing. To err on the side of caution, next time I would try and get to the mountain when it opens (8am on weekends and holidays) and then leave by 2:30-3pm. UPDATE - I learned the traffic was due to the Ice Castles down the road from Loon. You'll have been warned. Plan accordingly. read more

Loon is a nice intermediate mountain. But go on a weekday. Weekends are insanely crowded. If you must do a weekend, park at South Peak and start early. The lift lines are long at the gondola, avoid. I ski South, then North peaks. Most terrain is groomed but there are some steeps. Base Camp III is best option for lunch on a crowded day. Staff is great, service too. But, did I mention weekend crowds? That's the only complaint. read more

Loon mountain Ski Resort Big mountain Skiing two hours from Boston, and a little over an hour from Manchester New Hampshire Airport. I grew up skiing at Loon, many things have changed over the years (for the better). The terrain offers something for everyone, the Snowboard parks are as good or better than you will find anywhere on the east coast, and even though the place is bigger the staff is still very friendly. I don't want attitude when I spend money on recreation and at Loon I never have an issue. Skiing is great, grooming terrific, food and entertainment top notch. If you want good bang for your buck, try Loon again or for the first time. read more

Always a great place to stop in for a few runs. Area is great and trails are typically ready and waiting for anyone of any experience. I am no pro, but fairly experienced and there are plenty of trails that I can easily conquer with ease that test my skills, there are also great trails for the beginners and pros alike. We were just recently here and we were sad we had to leave, kinda busy, but what would you expect? Never fails that every time we visit we have an amazing time! Don't forget to visit the bar at the base of the Mountain and check in during the off season as the area is amazing and they have a yearly event, The New Hampshire Highland Games towards the end of September. read more

Avoid on MLK or Pres Day and probably all weekends as pps have written. Especially if it's the first good snow day of the season (as it was when we went Sunday of MLK! I know, I probably will never ski anywhere on this day) Left our home on south shore massachusetts at 5:15, arrived at 8:30 to drop my youngest at PK Boo, but the rest of us didn't get onto the slopes until 11:30. We would've arrived at 8 but there was a line of cars backed up to 93 just to ENTER. Even tho I signed waivers online there was a 30 minute line of many parents and crying kids (none were mine on this particular day thank god) for PK Boo. Then of course there was no parking in the main lots. Had to park at South Peak (aka escape route which is a cool concept if you don't have a bunch of crap to pick up at the main lodge), which was another 30 minute line. Then the shuttle didn't pick us up for another 30 minutes (i almost started crying at this point). Then the rental and lift ticket line was another 40 minutes (definitely if you don't have to rent . . . huge time savings). There was a 30 minute line for the Gondola. Finally, there was a line to exit the main parking lots, so that was an advantage to parking in South Peak b/c the shuttle back took about 10 minutes and exiting that lot took no time. Picking up from PK Boo took little time as well. The staff at Loon is the reason why I'm giving 3 stars - they're fantastic. Warm, helpful (especially at the rentals, where you need it), competent. The clientele is mixed . . . some aren't super courteous, but many stopped to help my kids when they fell :). We're going to go to Waterville next time but if we ever were to go to Loon again I would just get the beginner pass for $55 and not go to the peak b/c we're all green skiers. read more

If you are an intermediate or advanced skier, Loon is your best option in NH. Caution - if you are accustomed to skiing out west or Europe, then Loon will seem small. While not huge, it does provide a big mountain feel because of the multiple peaks and lodges. Loon has multiple high speed quads and a gondola, which is nice for cold days. The on mountain food is much better than average, not typical burgers, chicken fingers, and chili. There are two factors that separate Loon from some of the other ski areas in NH. Loon is only a mile or two from the highway. If it is snowing or icy, you won't have a harrowing drive on some random country road in NH. Also, they do an AMAZING job grooming. When other comparable resorts are sheets of ice, Loon somehow manages to have reasonable conditions. If I am doing a day trip, I might go to Sunapee. For a weekend trip or even an overnight, Loon offers a big mountain feel, excellent snow making, top-notch grooming, and is convenient from Boston. It seems like there is a plethora of on mountain lodging with all budgets in mind. read more

Though I'm not a skier, I wouldn't shell out this kind of money to ski at Loon. The lines to get up to the top of the mountain were enormous! So you pay $80pp and then rental fees, and then wait over a half hour for one trip down? No thank you. They also charge $12 for ice skating on a teeny tiny outdoor rink that did satisfy my urge to lace up, but it's not worth a second trip. And good luck getting beers at the Lodge... that place was so packed there was no place to even stand. Blaring music with an obnoxious DJ and overpriced disgusting bar bites made this a place to run screaming from. I guess all I'm trying to say is that Loon is pretty. That's all it has going for them. read more

We've been here on vacation before, just for a day trip, and had a really fun time. It's geared more towards kids, but it's adult-friendly too. The treetop aerial park is a lot of fun no matter what your age, and is less scary than some of the bigger, badder locations. The little zipline is not very exciting, but it's a great first experience for someone new to ziplining. There's also a small climbing wall and a gondola you can ride to the top of Loon Mountain, which has some great views. This most recent trip we weren't here to play in the trees, but to get a tour and speak with an event coordinator about possibly having our wedding here. I was a bit hesitant at first, because the general look and feel of most of the structures here are not very elegant. It was a little more old-fashioned-ski-lodgy than I had envisioned initially, and there are always lots of kids around, but my fiance was excited about it and we decided to explore the option. Turns out, the views are so awesome, I didn't really care about the other things. We met with Jill, who was really wonderful and patient despite her hectic day. She showed us around, answered all of our questions, and gave us a few pointers. The price is really reasonable, the location is fun for an outdoorsy family (there are larger ziplines and great hiking not far away), and clearly the event coordinators are really good at what they do. It's looking like we may end up at Loon for our wedding! If you're looking for a New England wedding (or other event) with a view, I recommend checking this place out ! read more

Spent $120 on a lift ticket for the day. Came inside for lunch and got a beer at lunch time from the bar upstairs in the main lodge, and then went and got a bread bowl downstairs and brought it back up stairs to eat. The entire dining room was full as this was peak lunchtime on a Friday so 2 spots upstairs was all me and my friend could find. Halfway through my meal a bartender finally had the nerve to come up and tell us "no outside food up here, you have to go downstairs". My friend and I both with a full beer that we just purchased from THEIR bar in the same building. And there's no alcoholic beverages allowed downstairs according to the signs... So what did you want us to to do? How about you let us finish our meals and drinks as paying customers who gave a good tip for our drinks?? Spent 15 minutes wandering around with my chili bread bowl and all my ski gear like a moron looking for another table downstairs and had to chug my drink. How can you be so rude and not allow me to have a chili bread bowl and a drink at the same time? Good thing I don't normally ski here, no other resort would pull this crap read more

We were recently visiting the Lincoln NH area and reminded me to stop in and check out their summer activities. This is one New England's best ski resorts. This is definitely not a beginner mountain but it has exceptional intermediate level skiing and advanced trails as well. As someone who has a young family our kids are just at the point where they will be able to take this challenge. I hope this winter we will ski here with relative ease for the kids. If you have not been to Lincoln NH and tried skiing or summertime activities at LOON I would highly suggest that you make this trip. read more

Been skiing here since I was 2 years old and have been here almost every winter since! I also learned to snowboard here in '06. I love loon because it has wonderful snow and a large variety of trail difficulty from the bunny hill in the family zone all the way on the bottom left to the terrain parks above the bunny hill to the black diamonds at North Peak and South Peak to the double black diamonds at South Peak! There is definitely a huge variety for different leveled terrain for skiers and boarders to choose from! The mountain is huge with a base elevation of 950 ft., a summit elevation of 3,050 ft., & a vertical drop of 2,100 ft. with 61 trails and 370 skiable acres! The longest trail is Bear Claw which is 2.5 miles long and is a green trail for beginners. It goes from the top of the mountain at loon peak all the way to the bottom in the West Base area and is perfect for anyone more advanced than the bunny hill. There is 12 lifts and they're all in great condition. I personally love the gondola because the walls block the wind when you're riding up the mountain. Loon has the most powerful snowmaking system in New Hampshire which means ski season starts early and ends late because they can make high quality snow in high quantities. This is great for skiers and riders because we can enjoy a longer season! Who doesn't want to do that?? Loon is so sure that you will love the conditions that if you don't, you can let them know before 11:00 am and they will give you a voucher to come back any other day that season! This is great news because I've had previous experiences at other mountains where the conditions were not as I had hoped and I asked for a voucher (knowing that loon gives vouchers) and they looked at me like I had 3 heads. I was then forced to make a decision on whether I should leave and waste my money or stay and bear the bad conditions. Needless to say, I left and wasted my money that day. The staff is very nice and the ski patrol is on point! If you hurt yourself skiing or boarding, they will find you asap and help you down the mountain whether it be in a toboggan or skiing with you down the mountain and they make sure you are safe! Loon Mountain Resort gets 5 stars from me and I would highly recommend this mountain to everyone! read more

sure, it gets a little crowded on weekends, but loon mountain is a great place to ski! take a day off from work if you don't like skiing with other humans. the trails are well maintained, and they do a very good job of making snow. the lift ticket has gotten quite expensive, but prices on food & drinks and other incidentals are relatively cheap. their rentals are in good shape too. all of the employees are pleasant and helpful. the lodges have bars and good food. it can be a little tough to score a table on weekends but that's to be expected. check out the tubing too! best tubing! i went with a group of 10 and we had an absolute blast - you get going really fast and they limit the number of tubers so that there's no wait between runs. i also love the little choo choo train that drives you between bases. how cute. and that gondola - what a great ride up top the top! read more

Clocking in at about two and half hours from Boston, the trip to and from Loon was waaaay better for a day trip than Sunday River. Its a smaller mountain, so for a day trip its a lot easier to cover and has a sizable number of greens and blues. Perfect for me! There is a gondola that takes you to the top of Loon Peak with a number of options to go down slightly different each time, but still remain on greens and blues. However, this was really the only long run for intermediates. There was a few long all blue runs from South Peak, but with all the ice showing after the powder had been blown off by the wind, I wasn't ready to chance it. I still had a lot of fun on Loon Peak though, despite it being the most crowded. The lines for the gondola were horrible after lunch when the wind picked up and it had to go slower, but in general the lines were pretty bad for the quads as well. My advice would be to take either an extremely early lunch or a late lunch and take advantage of the mountains down time. I did find it odd that there was no flat trail to connect the Governor Adams Lodge Base and the Octagon Base and the Pemigewasset Base Camp seems to be in the middle of nowhere! In order to get to the base of Loon Peak you either have to take a shuttle, or take a quad to the top of South and then another quad over to Loon and then ride down. I did not have to do this, but my friends who were skiing over there in the morning and then joining us for riding n the afternoon did and were a little annoyed by the inconvenience. Myself and my roommate jumped on a bus to get back to Governor Adams in time for lunch, but later when the crowds were also heading back, we just walked. Its from one end of the parking lot to the other, not bad at all. There is an adorable little train but I can't imagine it is worth the wait. All together though, Loon was a good time and a fun mountain. Very helpful and attentive staff, as good as I have experienced anywhere else. And most importantly nice and close to Boston! I will definitely be back, after all I did not get a chance to check out the apres ski scene at Loon! Some Tips: 1. Since Loon is the closest big mountain to Boston be prepared for tour busses of kids coming in for the day, getting there before 9 is probably best if you don't like getting trampled by screaming pre-teens while getting ready in the lodge. 2. There is a ticket counter inside Governor Adams Lodge that apparently never has a line as opposed to ones outside that are horrendous. If you do wait outside go to the window farthest left, the windows are staggered and the one to the left will have the shortest line. 3. One dollar cheaper than Sunday River and half the size! Bring your college or military ID to receive $10 off. Information is not posted on the website, but trust me you get a discount. 4. Seriously, unless you have a small child walk from Octagon Lodge to Governor Adams Lodge. Don't take the train, don't wait in line for the next train, only take the bus if it is there. Its less than a ten minute walk. read more

We went here on a whim while staying at Indian Head, which is a short drive away. I wondered if they did gondola rides and they did! This was in August, so obviously there's different things to do in the summer than in the winter. We took the gondola ride, which was about 10 minutes each way, was about $18 a piece. At the top there is a viewing tower, a cafe that actually has alcohol for you naughty types, and a surprise cave maze! There were caves you could navigate similar to what you would find a polar caves. I had a panic attack in one of them, so I assure you these are not for the faint of heart, for large people, or for people who hate getting dirty. I hate dirty and i'm a wimp so I was done after the first few. still cool though! read more

I've been skiing at Loon mountain for over 20 years, but I missed the last year because the value just isn't there anymore for me. I love the North peak with it's steep slopes and the addition of the south peak. Our kids learned to ski here, so we will always have great memories here, but with so many other mountains offering 2 for 1 pricing midweek, I can't justify paying double. Clearly Loon is not famous for their summer amenities...just returned from thier Adventure Center $40 lighter and ultimately disgusted with what they consider fun for all ages. My 7 and 4 year old we're excited for the Bungee trampoline and Buyon's Boucin' Backyard. At a total cost of $38 for both kids we spent 45 minutes at the one crappy bouce house situated in a blazing hot parking lot along with an inflatable basketball hoop with 1 ball, a broken wiffle ball game and a water balloon slingshot that we had to ask for and fill our own water balloons from a broken spiket behind the main building. The Bungee trampoline was just ok, but the young man running it was very nice and polite, the kids seemed to like it, but they had 4 trampolines and 1 person working so we had to wait, not a huge deal. Finally all we wanted was ice cream but when we got up to the window we saw a hand written sign laughingly stating they were out of cones today...the only thing that saved it for me was warning a big family on thier way in not to bother wasting their money. They left...we left...feeling vindicated never to return or recommend. Stick to your winter activities Loon Mountain. read more

Probably never going to return after the unfavorable experience today. It's understandable that a wedding was taking place as this is part of their main business. However, being shushed rudely and watching a wedding coordinator scold a child for falling was displeasing. Then as we tried to enter the shop to get a drink instead of being told nicely they were closing they told us to hurry up and buy something. None of this is as terrible as the flooded bathroom. Great mountain for every skill level... whether you like the cruisers, the steeps, the glades, or the parks. Lines get long on the weekends, but the runs are nice and long so it's worth it. Can't beat 2 hrs from Boston. The grilled cheese in the Octagon Lodge is amazing on a frigid day (make sure you get bacon). read more

We love coming to this mountain - especially on week days. You don't have to wait in any lines on the chair lifts and only minimal lines for the gondola. Great conditions with tons of snow making. Apres ski at Babes lounge is also a lot of fun! read more

We were at loon for the New Hampshire State Alpine Championships. This mountain should never be allowed to run a state championship race. From the incredibly rude mountain staff in the parking lots, lift lines and bar staff to having so few race workers on their own team that they needed to have other volunteers from other race teams work course maintenance. Not to mention never fully closing race trails and allowing people to cross the race trail between racers. I will never come to this awful place again. read more
