He is from the "old school" of good old-fashioned hard work, where accountability, integrity, timeliness, dependability and technical proficiency all color the very rigors of his task to provide superior and friendly customer service. I had another company bid which was so obvious they were trying to inflate their costs, that even being an novice it was evident. John did my entire kitchen for what the other bidder only would being doing half my kitchen at double the price. 2. All the positive reviews John had plus the years he had in business was a big factor. They lived up to their positive reviews and then some. 3. It is quite obvious from the start that John and Jacob know their stuff. I started out with questions that were easily answered and solved. 4. Johns relationship to the tile provider is outstanding which makes it smooth and streamline making sure you have the right product and amount for the job. 5. Jacob did the install: he showed up everyday on time, protected my floors and surrounding areas, cleaned up before he left each day. Job only took 3 days to complete. 6. We shopped and found a few items and waited for a long while to get the attention of the lady behind the counter. She was on the phone, then doing something else, and never looked up to even say "I'll be right with you!" When we finally had her attention, she wrote down a few things and said "I'll send a quote in a few days." A few days? It's tile! Couldn't this be done the same day, or on the spot like at all the other tile retailers? It took them 4 days to email the response. When we came back to drop off the tiles, there was a different sales person, but with the same attitude. We waited and waited, and then finally just returned the samples to the big table. They couldn't be bothered with us. What a shame. Tile is tile. You can get the same tile at a big box store, a boutique retailer, or a strip mall. But customer service is not something to skip in this type of business. Shame on the management for not encouraging their employees to provide better service. It's not that difficult, really.
