The servings enormous and greasy. The three-piece fish / three-piece shrimp meal exceeded the count of three. No one should complain about the amount of food. A pile of battered and deep-fried aquatic creatures, heaped atop a fair amount of fried okra. I ordered the slaw, to accomplish my goal of eating a serving of vegetables every week. The slaw is very good. Nothing was exceptional. The fish filets, more like fish cigars were fair. The shrimp. There was something about the shrimp. Maybe not fresh, maybe the seasoning. Something... I just don't know. I was hoping that I would not have to deal with gastronomical distress tomorrow. Not a problem, I have a digestive system that a buzzard would envy. An uneventful passage. The restaurant is clean the service is friendly. Order at the counter, pay for a numbered card. Fill your drink cup, attach the number to the top of the paper towel holder and wait. The food arrives soon with a basket of sauces. I couldn't find one out of the bunch that I liked. The restaurant has good reviews and I respect the rating reviewers have given. Since it was my first time being able to get a daiquiri I took the chance and got a mango daiquiri. It had me spinning after a few sips but it was a perfect match with the food. The server was so polite and offered great alternatives if you wandered about mixing and matching menu items. My food ended up taking a while so they gave me an extra piece of fish and let's just say that I was certainly pleased with that gesture. I didn't eat it all In one setting, so I was able to take some home and actually have lunch the next day. The place was such a relaxed space and easy spot to consume your food.
