I ordered a chili Riano. It was huge serving with a large amount of beans and rice for lunch.. Ugg it wasn't very appealing to the eye. I did eat a few bites, but nothing to brag about for sure. Other people in the party with me ordered street tacos that looked really good and a beautiful plate. Prices are definitely reasonable. Service wasn't extremely tentative however when it came to giving her cash, there was a need for just under $15 back and change and she asked me if I needed any change.Ha I said yes please and then gave her a five dollar tip because she only brought back five and a couple of ones. She knew how to work the tip properly. Lol again no refills on waters, etc. the service was Millie nonexistent other than taking the order and bringing us a plate. My wife and I really miss Freddie's stake house. We miss Tex (Edmond), Lanna and good food. We don't Go to Sapulpa very often. But noticed the old Freddie's is now Parrillas Mexican Grill. We had to give it a try. The restaurant appeared clean and roomy with plenty of seating. Our waitress was friendly and professional. The complimentary chips with white queso and salsa were good. My wife ordered the Chicken Chimichanga that she really enjoyed. I ordered the special dinner. That came out on two platters. OMG that was a lot of food. I'm a big man and can eat a lot of food. For service it's five stars. For ambiance it's a three. This space is so massive. I can imagine it more as a steak house (it's previous life). The margaritas were probably about a 2. Totally made with pre-made mix. Chips and salsa with complimentary queso (and it's the real stuff--not the thin Ted's kind) were great. Food was about a three. I ate about half of my chicken chimichanga. But, the churros were a five ++. Get them for dissert. I will give them another try. All in all I would say my experience was a 3.5. read more

Love the chips, cheese and salsa that is complimentary. Light chips! My husband ordered the Mariachi plate. HUGE serving! I ordered the pollo loco lunch with double rice, no beans. Large open space in the old Freddie's Steak house building in Sapulpa. Love that they give you a free queso with your salsa. Food wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great either. Same for the margaritas. Service was good though. Promptly seated and food arrived to the table quickly. read more

First time eating here since they opened after Freddie's Steak House closed. It was a nice experience. The waiter was fast and friendly. They give complimentary queso and salsa with their chips. I got Yolanda's special, three chicken enchiladas and a side of rice with white queso. My wife got the Mariachi special, it is grilled chicken and vegetables with refried beans with a side of tortillas. The food was delicious. Nice music and plenty of space to eat. Out with the old, in with the new Parrillas Mexican Grill. Burritos instead of cabbage rolls, refried beans instead of hummus and carne asada instead of ribeye. The dark dated interior is now bright white. Freddie's is history. The floors are finished with a crazy colorful psychedelic paint job. The tables match. This is the sister restaurant to the Parrillas in Catoosa; one of my favorites for good Mexican food. No disappointment at the new restaurant. It is even better than their Catoosa location! Excellent salsa and thin crispy chips, along with a small bowl of queso. Salsa picante on request. The menu has pages of options. My wife had the Las Parrillas Lunch; 2 cheese enchiladas with two eggs, rice and beans. I had the Special Lunch #1:1 Chili Relleno, 1 beef taco, rice and beans. Both meals were wonderful. The outstanding items on the plate: the eggs on the enchiladas, the flavorful ground beef in the taco (some of the best that I have had), the queso was perfect as were the rice and beans. Driving through town and wanted something just like what we experienced at Parrillas. Gus, our server was amazing and contributed to our positive experience. Service and food was quick! Chips and personal small cup of queso was very tasty. We had two adult meals and one kids meal. Portions were appropriate and left us feeling full. Absolutely no complaints - would be a regular dining spot for us if we were local. 10/10 read more

Tried this spot in Sapulpa. Great service and food was excellent. I'm a salsa snob so the chips and salsa they bring to you are the first judgement I make and it didn't disappoint here:). I had the Norteno burrito and fiancé had the chile rellanos. Food came out hot and fresh, great flavor and we will definitely be back. Oh and super affordable too. The wait staff was adequate, some language barriers but nothing was too bad. The salsa and queso was good and the thin crispy chips were good. However the tortillas were definitely store bought, tastes like great value. The interior is "interesting". Not sure what they are trying to accomplish with the floor... looks like someone just splattered paint everywhere and called it a day, not even a level top layer so there are some spots you can trip at. Same thing goes with the tables, they look messy because of the "design". Overall the interior is very white very sterile and bland looking other than the "interesting" designs. TLDR A kid came in and spilled paint on the floor and tables before they opened, tortillas were store bought, but the rice, beans, salsa and queso were pretty good. Prices are decent. read more

Nothing was bad, just not anything special. The decor/style of the interior isn't very appealing. The food was good, just basic. We even found a lot of the entrees to be redundant, with just minuscule differences. We did really like the queso and I loved that a small bowl was complementary. The one thing that really impressed me, was our server. He was so professional. I can't remember the last time I've had a server who made sure to take the women's orders first. The salsa was tasty. However I ordered carnitas and they had no flavor what so ever and there was so much fat on them. Not just little pieces, but chunks of fat. Close to a third of the meat was solid fat chunks. My husband ordered the pollo loco, and again..zero flavor. It just tasted like chicken. Plus we asked for a refill and she never brought it. Food was decent, line wasn't long at all, staff was so polite and quick with everything. Time for the check and that's what killed it for us... between $39.97 for food then paying $10.50 each alcohol drinks they were taxing as much as they could! Taxes for alcohol added up to be 23.97 then the food was taxed 9.87 then again an extra tax of 3.99 for who knows what so ending up being well over $60 for 2 adult meals, 1 kids meal...kids drink not included into kids meal.. we got 2 adult waters with 2 adult beverages. We didn't get a giant amount of food on our plates either. Was a first time for us but will be the last. Can get so much more down the street in Sapulpa from Lopez grill or Senior Pablo for half that cost including 4 meals and alcohol drinks. read more
