Cheese quesadilla
Taylor A.

Love it here. I usually get their cheese quesadilla - they don't overdo it with the cheese, which I like a lot. I also sometimes get a side of their white cheese dip, which is really good too. Definitely recommend it here.

Grew up in Albion and have been eating here since they opened in 1975. Great food and service and family run. If your near here or passing by then stop and check them out. You won't be disappointed. I get here now 2 times a year or a little more and live in Detroit and I can't find tacos and enchiladas this good. Not bashing Mexican restaurant scene here but it isn't the same. Thanks Cheers

We're from AZ and when we moved to MI, I was sad to find that there wasn't many Mexican restaurants worthy of visiting. We came here after visiting the children's museum & I was SO impressed! Felt like I was back in Arizona at a local taco shop. Will definitely be back.

Steak wet burrito

The flavor is just like any other Mexican restaurant. Not much seasoning or authentic taste. There were parts of beef chunks in my beef wet burrito but it had no flavor. The restraunt has nothing special to offer for seating or ambiance as the chairs are cheap old style diner sets and a few Mexican sombreros on the wall. Im surprised that the place hasn't burned down to the ground yet as it looks like high voltage cables were removed from a neon sign and black electrical tape was used to patch in some new wall lights. Only specials here are the workers. Very fast and courteous. Price is reasonable.

First time I heard about the wet burrito! It was delish!

Last night I ordered a chili dog from here, and it was awful. They should stick with Mexican food, I like their tacos

Lopez's have been a part of Albion for years. Great food, portions, and pricing. Lots of variety on the menu.

I was excited to try Trackside Eatery since I'd never even noticed it during my past visits to…read moreAlbion. Unfortunately, I have more negative things to say than I'd like. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the smell, I know it's an old building, and that comes with the territory, but it's definitely noticeable. The food was disappointing. I ordered a patty melt, which was dry and bland. The one highlight was the jalapeño poppers, those were actually amazing. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful, but things went downhill when there was an error on my tab. She couldn't void it, so asked me to come back later to talk to the owner and he would fix it for me. He was extremely passive aggressive and visibly annoyed about fixing the issue. He made several "jokes" that didn't really feel like jokes, including an out of place comment about the company I work for, saying that if I got in trouble for a Ginger beer charge on my receipt (it was actually a ginger ale, rung in as ginger beer), I should find another job.  He seemed annoyed because Ginger beer is not an alcoholic beverage, which I already knew, but I even had to explain to him that I worked in HR for my company and needed to follow rules. I shouldn't have to explain myself to a vendor. It is my right as a customer to have an accurate receipt and definitely not my fault that as a business owner, he didn't learn how to operate his POS. Overall, not a great experience. Between the smell, poor food, and uncomfortable interaction with the owner, I won't be coming back.

Schuler's is a beautiful restaurant in a very cool (and historic) setting. The service was very good, and the everyone was very friendly. There is an extensive wine list, full bar and plenty of interesting beers to choose from. You definitely need to try the famous cheese spread, but the corn dip was also good. All of our entrees were delicious and had large portions - everyone took home leftovers. Overall I would plan to spend a few extra minutes walking around if you've never been here. There is a lot to see and take in. There is plenty of seating for large groups, a quiet date, or family dinner. I would have given this 5 stars, but the price felt a bit heavy for what it was. 5 of us had lunch, no alcohol, shared 1 appetizer and it was $200. A bit pricey for what we expected but the food was still good.

Okay, I will reserve judgment but this is not a restaurant where we will be eating often. Our server really went out of her way to suggest the halibut. Even my cousin who tried to order the salmon got talked into the halibut. I wish I hadn't ordered it. The server then forgot to bring my soup so I didn't have that until after got my entree. Oops. Unfortunately the halibut was ruined by the kitchen. Overcooked, tough and dry. I had a few bites of my wife's chicken club which was delicious. I really wished then I had ordered the chicken. My uncle had the brisket sandwich and said it was excellent, so another promising choice. The salads were huge. I did not order one but they certainly looked fresh. If I go back I will stick with soup/salad and a sandwich. Probably skip the entree.

Now to the real part of why this is 1 star, we ordered food around 6:05 no big deal it was going to take about 20 mins, so we drove into town about 10 minutes out. We got the call from the hostess stating they did not have the pulled pork tacos anymore (this was a weird phone call and interaction), we then placed a different order in, which is no big deal and I figured it would delay the food to come out. I went in and waited about 15-20 minutes for the food to come out. I paid and left (they also had one side of the bar closed, which was kind of strange for a Friday night). Got home with the food and we ordered 3 orders of the fish and chips, an order of the Baja fish tacos, and newly changed, smoked Turkey Reuben. Apparently the menu was changed to just one6 oz piece of fish, instead of 2 3 oz pieces, which honestly you should have 2 6 oz pieces because it is kind of ridiculous to have one piece of fish of fish an chips, I feel the standard is even having 3 pieces at most restaurants. We called the manager and she was polite and understood the situation and gave us a full refund. I just think for the owners, you guys really have to rethink this menu sometimes. Like one piece of fish is not enough to feed a person, 2 pieces minimum should be the requirement.
