The WORST customer service ever. We went to this place on Sunday to see if we can order a cake for our Engagement party this Saturday and spoke with two ladies. They both said we should go again on Thursday with a picture of the cake we have in mind and place the order. It's Thursday now and we called them to place the order and the person who answered my phone said they don't take orders because it's Mother's day. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. She also claims in a very rude way that the TWO ladies we spoke to on Sunday regarding this gave us wrong information!!!! I would NEVER Ever even pass by this place. read more

As I was browsing, one of the girls working there asked me where I'm from, then she looked at the other 2 girls working there and they laughed together...almost like they made a bet with each other when they saw me walk into the store. This is a great little bakery in the north end of Glendale. I don't like visiting friends empty handed and since I've discovered Lord & Villa, it's been my go-to place for pastries or cake. They offer a huge selection of cookies & pastries that they prepare fresh in-house daily and everything I've tried has been delicious. The place is spotlessly clean and the service is excellent. I highly recommend this one pastry they have...I can't remember what they call them, but they look like cannoli's (they may actually call them cannoli's) and they are ridiculously delicious with an irresistible texture and flavor. I always order a few extra for me to enjoy at the starbucks down the street. Be warned, the parking situation is hectic due to a busy shopping center and a poorly designed lot. read more

Easily one of the best Napoleons (or mille-feuilles) in the city. Layers of puff pastry alternating between layers of custard cream; it's insanely good. They've also got some great eclairs (filled with custard, rather than whipped cream), cream puffs, and nazooks. Service with a smile, you get what you pay for. read more

There is a reason why this parking lot and surrounding spots are always filled! Think about it: one of the best pastry spots in all of Glendale and teeming with customers! I am addicted to this place after we stopped in to grab a box of goodies for the house. I owe my buddy Tony so much for introducing me to this spot! Everyone has a different expectation and desire when eating sweets. For me, all I ask for is the cream not to have a bitter aftertaste like the cheap stuff used in other establishments. The Best Armenian Napoleon's are made here. Get them fresh & they are amazing. The cream in it is different then the cheap ingredients other Armenian bakeries use. Today my coworkers and I shared their fruit torte cake- thanks to one of our clients. It was delicious and everyone enjoyed it. The fruits adorning the top were all plump and fresh. No skimping and not a thin slice of fruit, like other bakers might do, in sight. The whip cream between cake layers had just the right amount of sweetness. The glaze over the fruits was just enough. The only thing that brought this beautiful looking cake down a star was the cake itself- a bit on the dry side. It's saving grace? The layer of whip cream and sugar syrup added that extra moistness it was missing on it's own. read more

I love this bakery. It's located in a small shopping center. They are known for their delicious Napoleon, pastries imported all the way from Italy, the perashies (cheese, potato and meat cheese boregs) their yummy walnut, cranberry and chocolate bunt cakes, fruit tarts and many more yummy deserts. They also have nice imported cold verity of juices, in case you get thirsty by just looking at all the yummy deserts. :) Plenty of parking. read more

The Persian pastries here are one of the best in town. Their napoleons are very fresh and have just the right amount of sugar. Their Nutella piroshkis are so delightful. Think of it like a really light donut filled with Nutella. But get here early if you want it because they sell out quickly. Why a four star if it's all so good? (Review based on 4.5 stars) One of my favorite Bakeries to stop by when I am in Glendale, so grateful that one of my friends introduced me to this place while we were doing our internship in Glendale. This place has some seriously delicious sweet treats (cakes, nuts, candy, pastries, etc)... it's really hard to just pick one specific thing because I really love everything I have had so far (and yes the napoleon is very good, just like other fellow yelpers have yelped about). Pricing for this place is a little on the higher side, as compared to a few other Armenian Bakeries that I've been to, thus 1/2 a star taken away (sorry Lord & Villa, hope that doesn't ruin our relationship because you make such sweet things that make me smile). But regardless, still worth coming here every so often to pick up a few goodies for the family. There is some parking in the little parking lot and I haven't had any problem getting parking so far. The secret to all middle-eastern bakeries is figuring out exactly what they specialize in, each store usually excels at just one or two things, and then buying only those items. This way satisfaction is always guaranteed! This place, for example, has hands down the best Napoleon in town. (They also sell dark chocolate Kit-Kat which is the bomb!) Bought 2 pastries they were both old and pretty dried out. The gel on top of the banana caramel was chewy like it had been sitting in the case for quite a few days and was kinda like old jello. The flavor tasted like fake banana. Like banana wacky wafers. There was no real banana in it at all. Also go chocolate cake. Which was also dry. The fudge frosting was super thick. Since the cake was so dry the frosting is pulled right off of it and the cake just crumbled. The Taste was pretty good just wish it had been made more recently! Also got to raspberry almond cookies which had a hint of almond and barely a hint of raspberry also wasn't very sweet. read more

This bakery is one the best Armenian bakeries in Glendale. My favorite item is the Napoleon as this place somehow gets it right. I also recommend getting their fruit tarts, now I know some will say "Porto's", but sorry guys, I don't go to Porto's for a very good reason....It takes me 30 minutes each and every time to get in and out and I just don't have that kind of time, thus Lord is very convenient. The only reason they get 4 out of 5 stars is because their prices are kind of on the high side compared to similarly situated bakeries. I used to live right down the street from here AND work next door, so I've had my share of "Lord" pastries, to say the least. Overall, it's your typical Armenian bakery. Some things are soo yummy (their blueberry sconey type of things? Forget what it's called.. It's like this struedely thing with blueberries and other fruits.. Also their napoleons are good if you like napoleons in general), while other things (like this weird pistachio cake thing).. eh, not so much. Overall, their items are pretty fresh because it's very popular. Their prices are okay as well. A good place to try if you haven't so far, if you're in the neighborhood. I don't think I would make a special trip, though. I do HATE the parking lot, though. :/ read more

For last 3 times that I have tried to go here, there has been no parking spaces in the parking lot and I decided to go some place else. Something is going on in this shopping center and some other businesses are taking all the spots. I was a loyal customer here, but I am not going to park a block or two away while there are so many other bakeries in the neighborhood. i walked in lord & bakery. i wanted to purchase just a few items. i have severe food allergies which i am extremely cautious. when you walk into this bakery and ask the owner the list of entire ingredients for a plain cookie. since armenians don't believe in signage on anything ie: contains soy, wheat, dairy etc.... i did recommend that to the owner to kindly put signage. his exact words "people like you who have food allergies should not even think about coming to this bakery " i wanted to write this review to help others who have food allergies. don't go to this bakery. clearly they don't give a fuck. i would hate for anyone god forbid to have an attack. what happened to humanity and compassion. this bakery should gat an "f" grade from health department which will be my next move. read more

This morning, July 5, 2016, I had Napaleon from Lord & Villa Bakery with my coffee for breakfast. I suddenly felt a change of texture while chewing. I thought it was a piece of paper, but when I spit it out I realized there was a HUGE COCKROACH in my mouth. All day I've thrown up, have had a bad headache, have constantly been sweating (not to mention diarrhea). I went and met the owner of the bakery and showed him the cockroach (I saved it for this purpose). He responded, "These are not my cockroaches, my cockroaches are a different color." Yesterday my wife bought me a birthday cake from Lords. It was some sort of mocha flavor/ coffee flavor. The cake tasted great it was moist and not dry the cream filling in between the layers were really good as well. Now you might think up to this point why would this person give a 2 star review. Well here it goes. After blowing out the cake and cutting it up about my third bite in a I got s super crunchy piece which I immediately spit out and realized it was a giant white eggshell. Which if you've ever experienced the feeling you know what I'm talking about. When someone pays 40.00 bucks for a cake please be more careful of that stuff.
