I decided to check out Loren Dental since I was in the market for a new dentist, and believe it or not, I actually found them through a review on TikTok. I figured why not and booked a teeth cleaning. First impressions, I absolutely love the office. It is clean, modern, and just has a really welcoming vibe. The staff is super friendly and professional, which always makes a difference. Their booking system is also a 10 out of 10. I love a place where I can schedule everything through text, especially on those low social battery days haha! After my cleaning, I ended up needing a few fillings replaced, and that experience was just as smooth. Dr. Wilson made sure I was comfortable the entire time, and I was in and out without any stress. I Had a bad experience with them. I had explicitly said at the start, that I wanted the service only covered by my insurance. I had to pay extra expenses at the end which surprised me. Please be sure to ask about the service or the sweet talk may cause you to pay extra. I hope no one goes through the same. read more

This has been my dentistry for years and they are the best. I really do look forward to my visits. I wasn't good at taking care of my teeth when I started going but they made me want to be better. They didn't shame me or scare me. They treat everyone with respect and I love them for that. Dr Wall is like family and the hygienists all do an excellent job. My boyfriend went here for years. He just left because we don't live nearby anymore and he wants a dentist closer to home. Upon calling to move his records, he magically discovered he owed them +$200 for a cleaning from October (note: I'm posting this at the end of April almost 6 months later and he's still not had a call or bill in the mail or anything). Apparently, he got his cleaning in October a week before he could get another one as covered by his insurance per the "once every six months" stipulation. Now I know this is partially his fault, but heres the thing... as a dental professional scheduling his appointment, I absolutely expect you to suggest nothing more than 6 months and one day away. If the customer suggests earlier, you remind them of how insurance typically works. COME ONNNNNNN Basic customer service. FWIW, he's pretty sure something similar happened a few years ago where he had to pay for xrays because they did two sets in one year (or something like that). Attention to detail and basic customer service. Step up your game. I've been at the same dentist for 15+ years and I've never had this issue. He did say the people are very nice, but sometimes timeliness isn't their forte. And it's a cool building. read more

Don't go here. They're nice enough but it's always a different doctor, and the one star is because they charge you $75 if you need to reschedule last second. They hit me with the fee once when I had the flu and tried to again when I had an important work meeting come up. I'd rather find somewhere that cares even a little about their patients and doesn't just churn out fillings while trying to squeeze you for money just because you have other priorities than voluntary dental work. Missed appointments are one thing, that's my fault. But when life happens and I call ahead of time there is no reason to charge me $75 just because I have other priorities. read more

I started coming to downtown dental when I moved to Raleigh and loved the staff and the atmosphere. In the time since I started coming here, I have moved to Puerto Rico and Philadelphia and have traveled back to this office to receive my dental care. The two women at the front desk always know who I am and keep me entertained while waiting for my appointment. My hygienist has the difficult job of holding a fairly one sided yet engaging conversation while she's doing her work and she does that masterfully. I really like Downtown Dental! They are very thorough with even a regular check up, taking multiple photos and x-rays of your teeth. The staff is all very friendly and the office and equipment all seems incredibly up-to-date and modern. Morgan at the front desk is great, Tiki the dental hygienist is friendly, and I adore how happy Dr. Moore is. They even have TV in the waiting room and a Keurig, and TVs in each patient area so you hardly focus on what they're doing with you teeth. Convenient location, just blocks from my apartment downtown. If you drive and park it could be tricky because you'll have to pay for meters but don't let that deter you. They're really fantastic! They also accept major credit cards and my BCBC dental insurance. And Morgan always knows her stuff when it comes to checking on insurance for me! read more

Love the team, atmosphere, and efficiency of this office. I came on my lunch break, and was in and out in about an hour (new patient check ups take a bit longer). The paperwork was minimal and the wait was short. There was coffee, La Croix, and water in the waiting area too! Very clean and modern office, which I love. Being able to see my X-rays and the pictures of my teeth up on the tv screen was really cool. The ease of scheduling online and the nice office downtown is what initially drew me to this office, but the experience and customer service will keep my coming back. These folks are doing it right!! Stephanie at the front desk is so personable! She just makes you feel like you are the most important person with the undivided attention she gives you. Dr. Wall is also super awesome. I feel like he remembers me every time I come and see him and when I got the first half of my crown done he was very great with my nervousness of getting numbed. Dr. Woll is superb. After not having dental insurance for almost 10 years (and very little professional dental care in between) he took care of some neglected regular maintenance work and did a fantastic job. The basic exam as a new patient is also very thorough, and every little nuance is explained to you. After finishing up some work and double checking it, Dr. Woll even decided to go back in and perfect his work, which I very much appreciated. I'd rather have a dentist hold my mouth open for an extra ten minutes than have issues down the road with something not holding up. Fantastic work, friendly people, and a great experience. (I have MetLife dental which is accepted here) Also- BEST dentist ever at sticking a giant needle into your jaw and making you not feel it at all! Very attentive to patient's pain levels, and awesome at making sure you're not going to hurt during or after whatever procedure you're having. read more

Let me start with this...I hate going to the dentist. Like for real. When I found out that my dental insurance was running out because I was leaving my job my wife and I called and tried to get a last minute appointment. The people at Downtown Dental did everything they could to get my wife and I in that day. They were really great about telling us what they were going to do, which for my wife wasn't a big deal, but for me I needed as much encouragement as possible. And when I had to go back to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed a couple days later they were super helpful even though I was terrified of getting all that work done. The doctors, the nurses, even the receptionist...all of them were really kind, very reassuring, walking me through everything step by step. They were really accommodating and encouraging. Even if you hate going to the dentist like I do, go here and let them take care of you. read more

Very good dentist office. Extremely convenient if you work and/or live downtown. Everyone on the staff is very friendly and does an excellent job. The equipment is top notch (especially the air polishing tool that provides a really painless, quality cleaning). I went to the downtown dental for services 3 times. The first time I got a "basic" cleaning which was a total rip off. I had no choice but to go back for "regular" cleaning (spend more $) which was also a rip off. The total cleaning lasted less than 20 minutes. I had to ask for my teeth to be flossed. 3rd time I went for a cleaning and asked for a different hygienist and received the same 20 minutes cleaning with no dental floss cleaning. I have received 2x a year cleaning since I was a teenager, never have I ever received a half fast job like this. The best thing about this place is they are open in the evening if you have a tough work schedule. Don't expect your teeth to be actually cleaned. read more

Okay so most of the people here are nice, I went on a Monday morning, the person who cleaned my teeth was pretty rude, she made me feel uncomfortable when i was here, she treated me like a child, i already dislike coming to the dentist but a little more compassion would have been nice to make me feel comfortable... But over all the Doctor was great VERY nice and gave me plenty of options for my treatment, front desk was very sweet and did not seem to get irritated with me when i could not find the office.
