HIGHLY RECOMMEND celebrating a special occasion at Lorenza in TJ or just specifically going down to devour the most AMAZING Short rib tacos with bone marrow!! Not kidding would drive down here just for those tacos! They are that good! The aguachile and oysters were delicious and so fresh and the chocolate cake can feed 7 people easily! Did not expect how big this dessert was! Ambiance is beautiful inside and out and the service from all the staff was very attentive, friendly and professional! Lorenza is an outstanding dining experience! Can't wait to go back!

I have been to a good amount of restaurants, from Vegas to other parts of Mexico. Lorenza has bY far in my opinion been one of the best dining experiences I have ever enjoyed having. Every dish, every drink was perfectly executed. The service was a 20/10. Perfect for date night. Night with friends, or bring your coworkers too. I'm from LA, I'll be coming back hopefully next month to bring my loved ones here to try!

Our recent dinner at Lorenza was a great experience. It is our friends' go-to spot when they're in Tijuana. The atmosphere is beautiful and modern. What we enjoyed: -The buttery bone marrow was rich and indulgent and a standout. -The ceviche Malecón was a fun surprise--fresh with a twist from the chamoy and peanuts. - Tender short rib and perfectly grilled octopus were delicious. -The chicharrón de ribeye was our friends' favorite, though it was a bit dry this time. To top it off, we shared the massive chocolate cake--enough for four adults and a toddler. The service was attentive and there's even a kids' room where little ones are happily watched so you can actually enjoy your meal in peace.

Wow wow wow, food is so amazing from the apps to main course. Highly recommended the octopus, enough to share with all. Service was so excellent, impressive to say the least. We Californians need to recognize and accept that, across the southern border from San Ysidro, the city of Tijuana in Mexico, is becoming a significant and dynamic dining destination. The restaurants in this town can easily compete and even rival any of their counterparts in the culinary hot spots of major US cities. I am now on a sporadic, but focused journey to discover all of these gastronomic temples in Tijuana. My recent find is Lorenza, located in a spot that has several of these well anchored eateries. Walking into Lorenzo, you are just blown away by the awesome ambiance, interior decor, the most prominent being the stunning painting above the bar. Then there are the immaculate dining tables that highlight Mexican design and architecture. I spent almost 3 hours at my table, during which time I slowly selected and ordered several dishes. You begin with the complimentary tray of dips, salsa and chips. I started with the Ostiones Al Jaspor (baked oysters in a special Chef's marinade). Then the Manolo El Pescador (a creamy seafood soup). This was followed by Camarones Europeos (Shrimps). After that, Taco Del Patron (essentially a jumbo shrimp on a blue tortilla). Let's not forget there was also garlic toasted bread. Please see my pictures for these amazing presentations. So how was the food? I have to tell you at the onset, I was blown away. The whole experience was exhilarating. Every dish was better than the other. The Chefs really have a knack of treating seafood like it should be. I don't know how they do it. The oysters and both my shrimp dishes had amazing texture, taste, and flavor that I have to say I have not experienced anywhere else. And the service, 4 to 5 servers, including the manager, constantly attending to me, making me feel very special. Periodically checking, making sure everything was OK. Thank you Lorenza ....what an amazing and unforgettable dining experience. Muchas Gracias, Senors, Senoras y Senoritas.

If you saw the hype on Tiktok, it is worth it! There's an indoor and outdoor section with different vibes (music wise). The staff were friendly and answered any questions + gave amazing recommendations. If you'd like to see their cuts of meat, don't be afraid to ask. favorites: Tuna Tartare and Agua de Vida

Service was amazing, staff is so kind and so attentive. Food & drinks were 10/10 especially the tostadas de callo, our server assembled the tostadas right in front of us and added some tuna agua chile with pistachios. I've never had that combo but it was mind blowing.

While we made reservation for Saturday afternoon, we were told it wasn't necessary since they barely opened the door at 1PM. It was for 1:15 PM. When you walked, you are in awe with the decor and ambience of the restaurant. By far, this place has the best service I ever had. They are on top of everything. Always checking to make sure we are doing ok, to pushing in the chairs for the ladies. Our utensils and plates were constantly getting replaced after finishing a dish. We got complimentary chips and sauces. We ordered a few dishes to try as a group and individually. Here's what we ordered: Ostiones Al Josper - Baked oysters marinated in sauce over a bed of rice pilaf. Enchiladas de langosta - Lobster enchiladas with sauce, lettuce and cheese. Betabel- Ate: Beets served with thick slices of candied guava, alfalfa sprouts, cranberries, and beef carpaccio on top with drizzled of balsamic glaze. Tacos del Amigo - Short rib and bone marrow served on blue corn tortillas. Del patron - One large shrimp on blue corn tortilla. Tuetano Mongol - Bone marrow with octopus. They will also serve it with a side of tortillas. De Atun - 3 mini tuna served on crunchy hard shell tacos. My husband did not want to share and ate it before I can take a bite of it. All dishes were quite delicious and we left no crumbs. Lastly, we still had room for desserts. While we wait, we ordered coffee and did not expect a mobile Nespresso coffee bar to come to our table. What a nice surprised. For the desserts, we decided to go the following: Churros en el ring - We did not expect to have churros served in a boxing ring. What a cute concept. Wished we have gotten more than 4 pieces of churros. Pastel Lorenza - This is a MUST. It was a tower of vanilla ice cream with creamy goat milk and pecan. In the ice cream, you will find their house cookie to give it at that extra crunch with cajeta in it. Lastly, we ordered pan de elote con dulce de leche. Moist corn bread served on a bed of dulce de leche. If we can order a whole box home, we would. We definitely will be back!

A MUST TRY! TOP NOTCH! I was in Tijuana for a dental-related and came across this restaurant! The place and the ambiance were nice. This place serves seafood, steak, and of course tacos so we ordered them! We loved them all! The salsas were so tasty! The drinks were delicious and strong! But the star of the day was the service! Benjamin took good care of us. When I tell you everything was on point-we had no disappointment. Me and my girlfriend really enjoy this place. This is our second time here in a week lol. We came Friday and stopped by on our way back to San Diego on Sunday. My girl also left a review. The service, the staff, the ambiance and most importantly the food is on par. From making an online reservation, to service, to decor, and to most importantly food, Lorenza was an absolute delight. The host was enthusiastic and welcomed us warmly. We had an outdoor reservations that allowed to enjoy the balmy TJ weather but I have to say the inside decor was stunning. Our waiter was attentive but not over bearing at all. He always seemed to be there when we needed but not constantly asking if we needed anything. The food of course stole the show. We had a medium rare rib eye perfectly cooked to order. It came sizzling on a wooden and iron board. The ceviche Lorenza (Tuna Ceviche) was delicious and the Pastel Lorenza sent us home floating in the clouds. This place exceeded all expectations. Hoy fui a celebrar el cumpleaños de una amiga donde tenía reservación y no nos dejaron pasar porque tenía a mi hijo y no dejan a los niños estar en la terraza porque esa área solo es para fumadores , le dieron prioridad a un fumador que a una familia que iba a hacer consumo yo nunca había escuchado de un restaurante que hiciera algo así y no me dieron ninguna otra opción ni acomodo más que irme. Pretty restaurant and nice ambiance. The food was tasty and the wait staff was very attentive. My initial impression wasn't too great, the hostesses was rude. I had a reservation through open table and made sure to request indoor seating and they tried to push us outdoors. When I spoke up about it she was obviously bothered. read more

We stumbled upon here by chamce.Beautiful restaurant, very classy, every detail is thoughtout. The service is outstanding. The Food we had was very good with great presentation. Our group had tacos, oysters, fish, soups, drinks, and deserts. They were all great. I came here with family that lives here in tj and it was new to them too. It was a full house tonight. I would definitely recommend it if you want to try something new. I'd come back again if I knew what was the best thing to order. read more

Great restaurant, excellent food and good vibe. Little pricey for Tijuana standards but it's worth it. Tuetanos is an excellent dish to start! Really tasty, also recommended the Lorenza drink and of course cabreria for a main dish. People complain about long wait times but if you make reservations it's pretty decent. The only complain I have is the patio full of smokers, if you are sitting inside you will get the draft of smoke inside and no food is tasty with a bunch of smoke, they should invest in some positive air flowing from the inside to the outside to blow the smoke outside, this issue alone brings down the restaurant from a 5 star experience to 4. read more

Wow!! Impressive. Nothing I love more than day trips to Mexico to explore the gastronomic district in TJ. If you are an avid seafood aficionado like myself, you will love this place! First thing I notice when I walk in was how beautiful the restaurant was. Modern and artistic, with lots of color and open space and high ceilings. Shoutout to the interior designer for sure. Each of their ceviches are super fresh, flavorful, and full of citrus (just the way I like it). They come with various arrays of colorful salsas each of different flavors. They also have a good amount of red meat dishes, which were all really good. The beef is apparently imported from Nebraska, and it's high quality. However, I still stand by ordering seafood while you are here. The drinks are creative and tasty, and sooo affordable for the high quality food and service you receive. I went with a group of 4 and we were not mad about the price at all. Food takes a while to come out, but overall was very satisfied with my experience here in Lorenza. read more

We had a great experience at Lorenza. The ambience is fabulous, service was A+, drinks were divine and the food....oh the food was delicious. Beautiful presentation and very, very fresh. I recommend the Ceviche Loreto, Octopus, Bone Marrow, any of the tacos oh and the pork belly queso. The tortillas are first class and so was everything else. Don't forget dessert and pair it with a Carajillo mixed table side. You will not regret it. We went on a Wednesday night and had no problem getting in without a reservation. Although I do recommend making a reservations. Can't wait to return. Muy rico! read more

Restaurant is beautiful. Service was spectacular, truly outstanding - Jorge and Rafael were so attentive and kind. We ordered the Queso Pork Belly, which is as good as it sounds, and Jorge was so sweet to serve it to us on tortillas. We are slow eaters and he warmed the tortillas and queso for us halfway through. He was so attentive. The Ostiones al Josper (cooked oysters) were my favorite dish. They were cooked to perfection, not overdone, topped with a special sauce and parmesan - to die for! A friend recommended we try the Carajillo, an acoholic coffee drink, and it did not dissappoint! Rafael made it tableside, first putting the glass under a smoker, mixing and shaking the ingredients then garnishing with a torched orange slice. It was so delicious. Highly recommend Lorenza's if you are looking for an upscale dining experience. Very reasonably priced if you are used to San Diego restaurant prices and parking in the covered garage next to the restaurant was easy. We will definitely be back! read more

Disappointing after so many visits to this restaurant. Had a reservation at 7pm and waited 2 hours being told repeatedly "you are next " (we left without being seated ) First couple of times here was a great experience but I guess everything down grades after gaining frequent clients. Will never be returning to this restaurant as they lack customer service and honesty If you want a tasteful dinner there are several other places you can visit that are delightful Sus instalaciones están hermosas pero la calidad de su servicio al cliente es un ridiculo total read more

This place specializes is seafood and beef cuts. The beef is not good... based on reviews I thought it was very good but not. Drinks were good!!! And excellent service that's all. So choose another restaurant cause it's expensive. read more

The lobster that was split in half sat on a moist bed of Spanish rice, came with refried beans and freshly grilled vegetables. See my pictures. The freshly made thin tortillas were superb, but one had to be careful or they would dry soon. After you finish, they give you an apperetiv, in a small cylindrical crystal glass. Basically, think of it like Kahlúa with milk, vanilla and ice. It was fantastic. The chips and salsas that preluded the main order were also superb. It is rarely and not always, that I go back to the same restaurant when I'm on a short trip. On top of that the next day? Yes, here it had to be the exception. So this second time, I was here to try the fish soup (exceptional) and the grilled loin of red snapper. I've heard of a pork loin, a beef loin, but this was a first. The entree is a large portion. A thick, succulent, colorful, well charred and grilled portion of seafood, with firm texture and spicy taste. Service here was high class, on both occasions. We had dinner reservations at Lorenza for a Saturday evening, and the place was bustling. The lobby is spacious, modern, and luxurious, with high ceilings that set a grand tone. Service was attentive and friendly, with plenty of servers ensuring everything ran smoothly. For drinks, we requested a customized mango-based cocktail that was refreshing and not too sweet, along with the El Chamán (Bruxo No. 1 mezcal, green tomato, lemon juice, basil, and grapefruit). Both drinks were enjoyable, but the real highlight was the food. We started with the Ceviche Mazatlán (fish-based), which was easily the most balanced and delicious ceviche we've ever had--absolutely fantastic and incredibly refreshing on a hot summer night. The queso fundido with pork belly was delicious & also the octopus we got with the meat I forgot the name of the dish.
