Happy birthday Annie! Annie celebrated her birthday last year with wine tasting and sommelier PJ. PJ made the experience so memorable that she picked Lorimar Winery to celebrate her birthday this year too! This was our first time and it was a beautiful place. Lots of artwork and some large wine sculptures outside. PJ described what to expect with every wine we tasted and picked out wines according to what we told him we liked. My girlfriends and I came here this past weekend for a get together. We had a party of 11. The food and wine were great and the live band was pretty good which makes this experience even more disappointing :( Our server, Ginger, was inattentive and rude throughout most of the night. We were ignored for long stretches, at one point waiting over 45 minutes for her to check on our table, while she continued to visit her other tables around us. When we asked questions about the menu or wine, her responses were dismissive and unhelpful. She also refused to take food and drink orders at the same time, slowing service even further. She literally took everyone's order but my friend next to me who made the reservation reservations it took her forever to come back. When I tried ordering a bottle of wine for the table she raised her voice and told me to wait my turn! Ew! Speaking to me like a child!!!!! After one of my friends spoke with a manager, she was offered a bottle of wine, that didn't solve the problem for my other 10 friends though. However, when Ginger brought the wine over, she said, "Here's your bottle for complaining," which was extremely unprofessional. When I asked about wine recommendations, she was again unhelpful and unpleasant. I get you guys were busy but that doesn't justify the disrespect from her. Her behavior was unprofessional and not appropriate for a service role. This place has so much potential great atmosphere, music, food, and wine but the service completely horrific what should've been a fun night. Until that's addressed, I can't justify more than two stars. read more

Sunday, 9/29/2024: My good friend invited me to Lorimar's Harvest Festival & thought it would be a terrific idea to make a reservation for brunch at 11:00 am. The grounds are very pretty and it turned out to be a nice day. Brunch was served out on their lovely covered patio. Our server Hunter was so nice and very hardworking. I had coffee with my breakfast burrito, which was delicious and extremely filling. My friend preferred one of the omelets and devoured it. Of course our brunch would not be complete without ordering & drinking a couple of bottles of their tasty Peach wine. I'm not much of a drinker so I got a little buzz. All the while we enjoyed some music & a Stevie Nicks tribute vocalist, who was very good. We then moved over to the festival and scanned some of the vendors in tents. I purchased some creative crocheted items and some baked goods then we sat & enjoy more musical performances. We enjoyed the day and this beautiful winery. 10/19/2024: My go to spot when in Cali. This time around we did dinner. Another yummy meal. But what made this memorable was the live band. What a vibe. The music the dancing I had such an amazing time. Definitely a Saturday night hang out spot. Service was ok. Much preferred server for brunch last year. My flatbread was delicious. Menu has changed up a bit. Very disappointed they longer served the strawberry cheesecake. I was so looking forward to it for dessert. But all in all a wonderful time had by all. read more

Came for Sunday Brunch to meet up with a friend and so glad we did! The food is fantastic and the patio atmosphere with live music was very nice. The music was a bit too loud(even only being acoustic guitar), esp for how close some of the tables are. I would have the staff be mindful that - had to request a different seat since we were placed right in front of the speaker/stage as you walk in. I decided to be fancy and get the mimosa flight - which includes a selection of juices, none being orange. I forget what they were but it was something like Apricot, Guava, peach... Pretty sweet but was a nice sipper. Shining star of the menu is most definitely the Fig & Goat Cheese Flat Bread. What a fantastic starter to share for the table. DELICIOUS!! I've seen some reviews that were sad when they came and it wasnt on the menu...that tells you everything! If its on the menu when you go, I implore you to get it! The Stuffed Cinnamon Burst French Toast is decadent, as you'd expect. I just wanted to try it; I'm a sucker for riccata cheese (sweet orange infused, omg). If you are with people who are into splitsies...its a good item to share and not commit to the whole thing. Lastly, we got the veggie omlette which was fine, but the "veggies" were a bit lackluster and I only really got the sense of peppers in it - needs more mushrooms! Green sauce is a great choice for it. I will say their country potatoes including purple and orange along with traditional potatoes is a very nice touch. And the piece of delicious bread is just a extra bonus. Our server was wonderful. Attentive and super personable. We had some long chats with her about various things and learned that this is a Jewish winery and they have celebrations for different holidays. I think thats a really cool and unique aspect. Really glad I discovered this spot - and it was simply looking on yelp for brunch in the Temcula wine country. Yelp never steers you wrong! We'll be back. read more

From one food critic to another. 4 servers for 250 people. Still the front end is ok. Food comes out in time and at a good temp. Flat breads are kind of heavy handed. The Fig and Goat is about 4" x 10". It had a thick 1/2" covering of goat cheese. It had over a cup of small fig pieces. It was 30% crust, 30% goat cheese and %fig chunks. Service is all upfront with not much follow up. Empty plates sit, while busers walk by without looking around. No one's head is on the swivel as we say. All service staff must live by that term, Head on a Swivel". I learned that the kitchen, that cranks out 200-300 plates a night is a modified food truck. I don't know how many burners, grills, broilers or ovens are in that kitchen. I'd like to see that. Until then, I am going to presume this is not a fresh made menu. So due to service staff training or lack there of, and food freshness, I have the place 3 stars. read more

As a member of Lorimar my friends & I frequent this establishment especially when Endeavor & Echoes of Cadence are playing. They are like family than just friends. Last night while enjoying Endeavor, dancing and celebrating Jimmy's birthday we had our first disappointing experience with a server. She unfortunately was not attentive & rude. Our table had requested a pitcher of water due to our friend (a band member's wife) not consuming alcohol as she's expecting a baby and she was told to go inside & refill her glass. Some kind people at the next table had provided water for her so she didn't have to continue getting up & down. I had ordered a salad as our server sat right next to me while taking my order so she could hear better. I even pointed to it on the menu and saw her add it to my order on her iPad. Needless to say, I never did get the salad. Everyone at our table heard me order it and mentioned hey you didn't get your salad did you? We had asked for an extra plate which we didn't get and had to have another server (Cindy who is an absolute gem) get one for us as our server did not come back to check on us. My boyfriend had to go inside to order a glass of wine along with getting a glass for one of the band members. I did not go inside with him so he was not able to get my membership discount which would've happened if he was able to order from the server. Towards the end of the night, I finally saw her and asked if I was charged for a salad I did not receive. Her response was you didn't order a salad so why would I charge you for it? Why did three other people hear me order it and see me point to it on the menu to have her tell me I didn't order it. She started to walk away and I said I'm sorry, but I just wanted to make sure I'm not paying for it. She turned her iPad around, pushing it slightly towards my face and said, " like I said it's not on here and walked away". I went inside and asked for the manager on duty to let him know of our experience. He said he was appalled at an employee's behavior, acting like that towards a guest , and that he would rectify the situation. That manager is Scott who was kind and gracious and listened to what I had to say. He did make things right (even made sure our friend got to her car safely) and was going to discuss the situation with that employee. A huge thank you to Scott for making our evening end on a positive note & we look forward to coming back to support Lorimar, Scott & the amazing team we have had the pleasure of having serve us in the past. read more

This place is super cute with live music on the weekends. Paved parking is limited but plenty of extra parking in the back. The main entrance is a little small especially if it's crowded. Tasting room is small as well but their patio and full food menu is great with amazing views in the back. Such a cute place to sip on some wine, dance around with some good company. DOG friendly on the patio, but service dogs only inside. A kid friendly place with a lot of space in the back patio. read more

Came for a wedding luncheon and the service was on point! Our server Dustin made sure all of our needs were met and with a huge party, it was no easy feat. We have been there before but don't recall that level of attention. If they have more Dustin-type staff, this will become our regular stop. Wine is delicious, and our go-to was the Meritage.
