    Horchata salvadoreña
    Ana V.

Had to try a new Salvadorean food place and it did not disappoint, from the aesthetic look on the outside to the quaint homely feel of home cooked foods on the inside. We were attended and seated right away mind you it was late evening with an hour before close. They have real horchata salvadoreña, and freshly made pupusas revueltas along with curtido y salsa de tomate, you know they make them upon order when they have that melted cheese everyone fights for at the table. My eyes were more hungry than what our stomachs could could handle. We ordered pupusas, platanos con frijoles y crema, lomo saltado(reminded me of when my grandma would maake bisctec con papas fritas) y chow mein those dishes are big and we were sharing but still ended up with take-out. Definitely a place to come back to for their wide selection of foods and beverages.

This place has everything you need! Amazing food, super friendly service, plenty of parking, great music, and decent prices. The tortillas and pupusas are sooo good! All the dishes we tried were great. I will definitely be coming back here to try more plates!

Me encantó este restaurante, la comida estuvo deliciosa perfecta, la sopa de pata, llena de colágeno, los vegetales y la carne Suavecita, las pupas y no muy grasosas .. seguramente volveré !! The food was delicious. I recommend it to everyone. I was looking for a place like this. Very humble people. They're service is wonderful and anything I need. They brought to me. The space is perfect.

Amazing and quick service! I love the horchata and the pupusas de loroco y queso were delicious. The platano y casamiento plate that my sis ordered was so good too. The platanos were perfectly sweet!

Great food great selection great service. The pupusa's were huge and stuffed with ingredients would definitely come back here again, and the beer was ice cold and the prices are very reasonable.

First time at this gem. Ordered - 2 pupusas, Costillas, Platano frito & more Food was packed with flavor. Great choice will be returning.

The best pupusas around can be found here at Loroco Bistro. Plenty of indoor seating and a wide menu to choose from. If they would only turn the music down a little, this place would be perfect.

The food here is very good. I live in La Habra and was traveling to Downey for my Salvy food...no more. Found my new go to and half the distance. The portions are large and lots of flavor. The service was very good. Our server was attentive.

The pupusas were huge. Curtido and sauce very good. Fast and friendly serve. Back ground music was good. Just a little loud.

Food**** -- ordered Chimichurri Steak and Sopa De Pata, absolutely loved it. The steak is cooked medium rare and really tender where flap steak is usually overcooked and dry. Soup is not as thick as the menudo which is nice- the cow feet is very tender and full of gelatin highly recommended Service*** -- after we ordered wait for some time until we got our water not sure why, no English menu so prepare to flip thru pic on Yelp if you want to find out what's in each dishes Ambiance*** -- family style, 2 TVs with sports channels on. Nothing stands out but also nothing to complain pretty standard

Giant pupusa here, taste good! The ensalada drink was great as well. I'll be coming back to this place. A bit small inside but worth it.

The interior seemed a bit dated and wasn't anything too impressive. The booth seating also felt pretty cramped, so I'd recommend sitting at one of the regular tables if you have the option. The food itself was pretty decent, especially for the price. However, we ordered the Super Plato Tipico and noticed that a few of the items that were supposed to come with it were missing. When we asked our server about one of the missing items, she immediately replied, "Your tamale? Yeah!" which made it seem like she already knew it hadn't been brought out. I would've appreciated it if she had mentioned that the kitchen was behind or let us know the missing items were still coming instead of waiting for us to notice and ask. Overall, the food was affordable and satisfying, and I'd come back for the pupusas. The service was friendly, but communication about the missing items could definitely be improved.

Tthe interior must once be decent back in the 80s since the upholstery of the booths look like it was once an ihop. There aren't too many salvadoran places so if you crave salvadoran food this is probably it. i ordered the Bistek Special with plantains and my friend got the Plato Tipico (which comes with a variety of samplers to try like pupusa, yucca, etc. I think if it's your first time trying this type of food, it's probably best to order the Plato Tipico since it provides a nice variety. For the most part, the food was pretty good. Although, you do need to be okay with slightly tougher fried yucca. While tasty, make sure you have good quality dentures. The Bistek Special was also pretty good but it didn't offer the same type of true Salvadoran experience.
