Really was an unexpected surprise coming here. I've been to many Mexican Americanized restaurants and they're all pretty similar with their vibe. But this one actually has some tasty tacos! I was surprised with how tender and juicy the meat was! I'm Hispanic myself so I'm always picky with that. and how good they were. Our waiter was super sweet and the drinks are strong to so just a heads up. Definitely will be coming back again on our next Aurora visit. I love this place!! The portions are so much more reasonable than at most Mexican restaurants (not HUGE) and not covered in excessive grease and cheese. The food tastes fresh and presented so well!! Margaritas are delicious. We have had happy hour in the bar before too. Service has always been excellent and friendly. I had the fajita taco salad and it was beautiful and delicious; perfectly cooked and seasoned chicken atop a lettuce and fajita-seasoned pepper salad, served in a crispy tortilla bowl. Delicious and good portions but expensive! We can't go very much and tend to go where we can feed our family with a reasonable cost.

Came here with a very large group (16 people) they were accommodating and we were able to get a large table. The service on the other hand was extremely slow and made mistakes on multiple orders. Understandable for the group size. I did like that they had salsa, beans and chips. The food was good and nice flavor but nothing special. The place was clean and had a good sized menu. Prices were reasonable. I would like to come back here again with a smaller group to see how the service measured up. read more

Craving a margarita and remember this place coming into downtown Canby! Huge building and easy to get to. It wasn't very busy for a Wednesday afternoon, which was great with quick service. ; our waiter was awesome and friendly. We ordered the guacamole and he made it fresh for us at our table- not a big fan of gauc, but it was delicious! The chips and salsa were great to start- Salsa was a little spicy (yum). Happy hour has changed drastically and not in a good way. They had one of the best HH in Canby. All food items were $5.00 each during HH. Now most items (a lot fewer choices now than before) are $9.00 each. A few at $7.95, but not many. I understand food prices have increased however HH is now average at best now. I will still support this establishment, but not for HH. read more

Los 2 Agaves has become my Wife's and I go to place in Canby. They have new ownership ( about 1 year now) they are fantastic. The seafood is super fresh and the Mexican food is authentic and cooked to order. We are so happy to find a local spot that is great to frequent. I love their Ceviche and Carnitas. I love Spanish food and have been to many that do it good and many that do it baaad. But I can honestly say that Los Dos Amigos is among THE BEST! The minute you walk in you are treated like family. Alicia, her daughter and other front of house staff, are all super friendly and their warm glowing smiles are genuine and welcoming. We were seated without wait and quickly served hot, fresh chips with homemade salsa; it can range from mild to wild you just have to ask for what you like. Be careful though, the spicy can peel paint. The fresh guacamole is also very good too and they make it at your table. We enjoyed the dining experience so much we actually returned a second time during our weeklong visit to the area. The food is delicious and Alicia's husband and his kitchen staff all do an excellent job. Everything tastes delicious and is cooked to perfection. In our visit I had a number of items (thanks to a combo plate) including an enchilada, tamale, relleno and the fish taco's. All of them were OH-SO-GOOD! The fish taco's though were probably my favorite. Fresh and flaky, with a light crunch and perfectly breaded. My wife enjoyed her dish so much she ordered it twice; that was the Mariscada. Cocktails were all mixed with care. Those margarita's were all quite tasty. One of them we even asked for one not on the menu and they had no problem mixing it up and did a fine job doing so. Ok I'm not one to complain about things. But I can tell you I won't be back here again. I read great things about this place and thought I try it out. First off, avoid the bar area if you can. Service is pretty slow, as there didn't appear to be any staff dedicated to that area. So I tell the owner that I was happy to try it out for happy hour. She says oh no the Super Nachos aren't on happy hour. I said the sign clearly says the Super Nachos are happy hour. She says no you have to specify happy hour Super Nachos. How am I supposed to know that?!?! I'm in the bar, I order a listed happy hour item, that should be it. Then to top it off even the beer wasn't priced properly either. read more

We stopped by here on way from Seattle to San Francisco. We wanted to have some authentic Mexican food, and boy oh boy did we luck out! Came in for take out. Food was ok. I had Covid concerns though. Guy at the desk had a mask on his chin. It wasn't covering nose and mouth. People were packed in the restaurant. I want to leave one star, but we have been here a handful if times before and received excellent service. Unfortunately not this time. It took over an hour for our food to arrive. Which we understand if busy, which it was. Yet 2 tables seated before us received food before us. Our waitress was MIA. Finally I believe the owner brought my salad and asked what my husband ordered. Then we heard nothing from anyone for 15 more minutes until the MIA waitress showed up and asked "did you get your food?" NO- no we didn't. His plate was delivered with no explanation or apology. Then she went MIA again. Never delivered our check. We finally went to front to pay. Our table didn't pull up the check so he asked what we had. I said "it's like our order went missing". He just laughed and said "Yeah". We are very disappointed. We paid our full bill and walked away without leaving a tip. Wondering if we will not be going back in future. read more

For a standard mex place that serves insert meat here + rice and beans, This place is great. Very creative menu, meats are always cooked properly and have nice flavor.
