Really was an unexpected surprise coming here. I've been to many Mexican Americanized restaurants and they're all pretty similar with their vibe. But this one actually has some tasty tacos! I was surprised with how tender and juicy the meat was! I'm Hispanic myself so I'm always picky with that. and how good they were. Our waiter was super sweet and the drinks are strong to so just a heads up. Definitely will be coming back again on our next Aurora visit. This place is a bit far from me but we'll worth the drive. The restaurant is always clean, the staff is always friendly and helpful. Now on to the food and drinks. They offer a great selection of craft margaritas and other beverages. Their food is always always yummy and the portions are amazing! Of course chips and salsa is brought to the table when you sit. I love this place!! The portions are so much more reasonable than at most Mexican restaurants (not HUGE) and not covered in excessive grease and cheese. The food tastes fresh and presented so well!! Margaritas are delicious. We have had happy hour in the bar before too. Service has always been excellent and friendly. I had the fajita taco salad and it was beautiful and delicious; perfectly cooked and seasoned chicken atop a lettuce and fajita-seasoned pepper salad, served in a crispy tortilla bowl. The service was great, and the food was delicious and in a good price range, and it wasn't very crowded so we got very quick service.

Came here with a very large group (16 people) they were accommodating and we were able to get a large table. The service on the other hand was extremely slow and made mistakes on multiple orders. Understandable for the group size. I did like that they had salsa, beans and chips. The food was good and nice flavor but nothing special. The place was clean and had a good sized menu. Prices were reasonable. I would like to come back here again with a smaller group to see how the service measured up. read more

Happy hour has changed drastically and not in a good way. They had one of the best HH in Canby. All food items were $5.00 each during HH. Now most items (a lot fewer choices now than before) are $9.00 each. A few at $7.95, but not many. I understand food prices have increased however HH is now average at best now. I will still support this establishment, but not for HH. read more

It wasn't very busy for a Wednesday afternoon, which was great with quick service. ; our waiter was awesome and friendly. Los 2 Agaves has become my Wife's and I go to place in Canby. They have new ownership ( about 1 year now) they are fantastic. The seafood is super fresh and the Mexican food is authentic and cooked to order. We are so happy to find a local spot that is great to frequent. I love their Ceviche and Carnitas. I love Spanish food and have been to many that do it good and many that do it baaad. But I can honestly say that Los Dos Amigos is among THE BEST! The minute you walk in you are treated like family. Alicia, her daughter and other front of house staff, are all super friendly and their warm glowing smiles are genuine and welcoming. We were seated without wait and quickly served hot, fresh chips with homemade salsa; it can range from mild to wild you just have to ask for what you like. Be careful though, the spicy can peel paint. The fresh guacamole is also very good too and they make it at your table. We enjoyed the dining experience so much we actually returned a second time during our weeklong visit to the area. The food is delicious and Alicia's husband and his kitchen staff all do an excellent job. Everything tastes delicious and is cooked to perfection. In our visit I had a number of items (thanks to a combo plate) including an enchilada, tamale, relleno and the fish taco's. All of them were OH-SO-GOOD! The fish taco's though were probably my favorite. Fresh and flaky, with a light crunch and perfectly breaded. My wife enjoyed her dish so much she ordered it twice; that was the Mariscada. Cocktails were all mixed with care. Those margarita's were all quite tasty. One of them we even asked for one not on the menu and they had no problem mixing it up and did a fine job doing so. I will absolutely return anytime, and every time, I'm remotely close. read more

Ok I'm not one to complain about things. But I can tell you I won't be back here again. I read great things about this place and thought I try it out. First off, avoid the bar area if you can. Service is pretty slow, as there didn't appear to be any staff dedicated to that area. So I tell the owner that I was happy to try it out for happy hour. She says oh no the Super Nachos aren't on happy hour. I said the sign clearly says the Super Nachos are happy hour. She says no you have to specify happy hour Super Nachos. How am I supposed to know that?!?! I'm in the bar, I order a listed happy hour item, that should be it. Then to top it off even the beer wasn't priced properly either. read more

Very quick and friendly servers. The appetizer came out quick but it wasn't the best ceviche we ever had . The avocado on it tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. I wouldn't get that again. The pozole however was so good!! I would definitely go back just to have the pozole especially on a cold day! We actually wanted to go to the Thai restaurant next door but they were closed on Memorial Day, so we decided to give this place a shot. Excellent chips, delicious spicy salsa. I had Tres Chiles: chile relleno, chile colorado, chile verde. All were delicious but the chile relleno was fantastic. One of our group had the prawns fajitas--looked great and he liked it. The presentation was very nice--refried beans or black beans were swrved in their own taco bowls. Service was a little slow but worth the wait. The decor is refreshing--NOT Mexican kitsch. We stopped by here on way from Seattle to San Francisco. We wanted to have some authentic Mexican food, and boy oh boy did we luck out! The food was amazing, fresh guacamole made to order, great sauce, large portions, amazing margaritas! Douglas, our server, was wonderful and attentative, and even got us some of the chef's special housemade hot sauce, like from the secret menu! Came in for take out. Food was ok. I had Covid concerns though. Guy at the desk had a mask on his chin. It wasn't covering nose and mouth. People were packed in the restaurant. I want to leave one star, but we have been here a handful if times before and received excellent service. Unfortunately not this time. It took over an hour for our food to arrive. Which we understand if busy, which it was. Yet 2 tables seated before us received food before us. Our waitress was MIA. Finally I believe the owner brought my salad and asked what my husband ordered. Then we heard nothing from anyone for 15 more minutes until the MIA waitress showed up and asked "did you get your food?" NO- no we didn't. His plate was delivered with no explanation or apology. Then she went MIA again. Never delivered our check. We finally went to front to pay. Our table didn't pull up the check so he asked what we had. I said "it's like our order went missing". He just laughed and said "Yeah". We are very disappointed. We paid our full bill and walked away without leaving a tip. Wondering if we will not be going back in future. read more

Wow! I'm a Canby native and visited this restaurant once years ago when it first opened-it was a different name then and I believe different ownership as well though I'm not certain on that. We weren't impressed so we never went back. Fast forward to not too long ago the name change and rebrand and we thought why not give them another try...now I'm worried I might have been missing out for years! They are open for dine in service again and seem to be doing a very thorough job of following all the COVID social distancing regulation. We were seated right away and every staff member we interacted with was very friendly and professional. They served us chips and salsa and refried beans to start, the salsa was delicious which is always a big factor for me in choosing a Mexican restaurant. The chips were a little stale, my only complaint of the whole meal. Our food was served very quickly after ordering. I ordered the enchiladas banderos and I would definitely recommend! My partner ordered a steak dish, I'm not generally a big beef fan but I tried a bite and it was delish! The prices were a little steep for a casual Mexican food dinner, the other comparable restaurant in town is around $12-14 for entrees and they were more like $13-20.
