Disappointing. My Al Pastor came out as gound beef with Al pastor seasoning. Service was slow. Don't waste your money.

Well, a couple of months ago we had dinner here and we had an ok meal, but service was non-existent. Last week we decided to give the place another try, and guess what? Service was worse. Almost empty restaurant, but my husband's beer arrived after we finished our meal. He said, no thanks. We had an impatient 2 year old with us, and he didn't feel like chugging the beer and driving home. Server said, "the bar got slammed". No it didn't. We were sitting right next to the bar. 3 customers, maybe 4! Then she brings the check and the beer is still on it. 3 Margaritas up the hill has much better service and similar quality good. read more

The flan was good, but the tamales were dried out and not sure how many days old. Chicken tacos were okay as was the Mexican rice.

Not sure what the fuss is all about. Maybe we got lucky when we came here. But the mexican hamburger was really good, as was the green chili and salsa. Yes the salsa looks a bit peculiar. But it tastes good. Not the best place I've been to, but certainly not the worst. read more

We came here back in July while house shopping. I think we waited 10-15 min before we even got our drinks (water and soda). The salsa was a bit bland and odd looking. We asked for salsa that was more spicy and they just added red chile flakes to it. Um...what? The food seemed to be created by a gringo because it was bland and not very mexican tasting. Taco Bell puts out better mexican food than this. There were 5 of us in our party and not a single person liked their food. The biggest complaint was the long waiting time for our drinks. The place was empty when we went. 3 Margaritas was way better and that is saying something because 3 Margaritas isn't very good either. We won't ever come back to this place. read more

After several visits here, always having to overlook terrible service, we decided to try one more time. Upon our arrival at noon on a Saturday, we saw a man wandering around trying to pay his bill and several tables waiting to place orders, so we were immediately put off. Our family of 4 was led to a table with three chairs, where the waitress tossed down the menus and walked away, so we had to get our own chair from a neighboring table. We were not given a kids' menu, even though we clearly had children with us. The waitress then seated another table next to us, clearly friends of hers, and proceeded to take their drink order, bring them chips and drinks, and take their food order. This is when we decided to leave and find a restaurant that actually cared about our business. We won't be back. Ever. read more

We waited two years for something to open at this prime location on Hidden Lake and all we get is yet another crappy Mexican restaurant slinging slop to the gringos who don't know any better. Uninspired overly salted sloppy Mexican food like 80% of the "Mexican" restaurants throughout Denver. If stale chips, dirty tables (among other things), over priced margaritas, sloppy plates of salty overcooked meat, and spotty service are your thing, then this place is for you! Nothing has ever seemed fresh at any time we've been there. I actually had DRY gringo tacos once; an amazing feat considering how cheap and fatty this product typically is. But hey, they do have a cartoon of a chubby sombrero wearing Mexican dude on their logo. Hooray! Flush it. read more

VERY Disappointed! Ground beef in the burrito was clearly old and cooked previously then re-cooked. The chili relleno was fried in oil that was low temp. This causes the oil to leak inside and pooling of grease when you cut it open. I ordered a Bloody Mary and the olives were small and had a bad flavor. I paid the bill to the hostess since the waitress was inconvenienced when asked for napkins. I told the hostess of the issues with my food for the meal and she replied "ok?". I signed the bill and left since the chef can't recognize bad food being sent, the bartender doesn't check quality of drinks, and the hostess doesn't know how to address customer issues. I told her I will just address it through Facebook and Yelp to see if it can be addressed that way. Hope to hear from you soon. read more

Horrible service and bad food. I think the waitress came to check on us twice including when we ordered. Mexican steak and eggs came out with no green chili. Asked for scrambled eggs on the chicken hash got over easy. The person that brought out the meal didn't even know what she was giving us. It took over 25 minutes on a slow night to prepare an incorrect and disappointing meal. It was somehow all correct on the bill though. This wasn't our first bad experience here but it will be the last. read more

Desperate for Mexican food on the mountain we gave this place yet another try the other day. This would be #3 and the last for us. When they first opened it was so chaotic but at least they were friendly. I will say they do well with their shrimp dishes. This time around we ordered fajitas and there was no sizzling platter for it's arrival. The vegetables were mushy and flavorless and they nickel-ed and dimed us for everything little thing including an extra tortilla. Really? And what is up with the waitresses? Please let those girls put some pants on. The little short skirts are not attractive with winter white legs and sloppy tennis shoes. Oh, here was my favorite part... We arrived and asked if it was still happy hour because the sign was still out front and we honestly didn't know what time it was. The waitress said she wasn't sure and had us check our phone for the time. It was 5:01 and she said nope, happy hour is over. ?? Some businesses just don't get it. We came in as locals were headed out. They said " we are keeping it down". Should have been our clue. Service was impersonal and rushed. Had the crispy relleno & cheese enchilada Let's just say everything tastes the same. No flavor. I've never had beans that were runny. Needed a spoon. They must have been the bottom of the bean soup. While the service could be improved with a little coaching, the food was good, margaritas were good and all reasonably priced. The location is great with amazing views, but a little maintenance is needed, the decorative tiles were falling off the wall. The bathroom was clean. The ladies working seemed overwhelmed with a large party, but the gentlemen working were able to keep a positive attitude and pick up the slack. Given the few choices in town for dining out this was one of my better experiences! We will be back, which is more than I can say for other places in town. read more

I don't know why this place doesn't have a higher rating! The salsa is sooooo good, their menudo was amazing, and the waitress was super nice. The only complaint my husband had was that the micheladas had ice in them, but apart from that we absolutely loved our experience at this restaurant!!! read more

Came in for the third time over a 5 year span to break up a drive from Denver. This will be the last time. We were sat at a table (#23 if the managers care) and it stunk like rotten feet due to the black carpet. Looking around the carpet everywhere was disgusting and worn out. Anyways trying to get our server to give us more than a second of his attention took over as the challenge. Finally got drinks and chips and salsa (salsa was old and boring). Ordered as soon as we could due to seeing how slow it was for others and let the wait begin. I understand waiting in a busy restaurant and accept it with no concerns....as long as the server is attentive and takes care of you. We ended up having to go to the bar to get our own napkins and silverware and drink refills. When the food finally came, dropped off by other staff, our server finally checked in again when plates were nearly empty. The food was very greasy, bland, and had a weird funky off flavor. We had a long day and were very hungry so we ate it. When server finally checked in he said, "food was great right?" and walked off before we could respond. I flagged him down for the check. The server was not busy but rather spent half of our entire time visiting with the table next to us bringing them shots and drinks and hamming it up. Despite being next to us we could not get his attention. He (Josh I think) wouldn't be worthy to work a fast food counter! Enough said; without a serious overhaul of the kitchen, waitstaff, and removal of the stinky carpet this place isn't worth your time and money. read more

We moved to Morrison last fall and are in the process of checking out Mexican places. Had lunch today at Los Tres Garcias and the best thing I can say is meh. The glasses of soda were flat. The salsa was pretty good and the chips hot and fresh. We had the green chili plate, the flauta plate, and a combo. Ground beef was not seasoned and bland. The sauce for the green chili resembled green chili in no way, shape or form and was salmon colored. The flautist were stuffed with braised meat of some kind that was very tough and stringy-I was unable to cut through the flauta with a fork which is a bad sign to me. None of the meat seem to be seasoned at all. Rice was pretty tasteless and refried beans were nothing special. Overall very disappointing as the menu looked fantastic and we were excited about trying different things but in retrospect would not go back again. I can get better food at On The Border. read more

We came here wanting to try something different from our usual 3 margaritas. Needless to say we were so disappointed immediately we didn't even try the food. Our sons disposable child's cup looked like it had been used at least 10 times. The lid was so grimy I was appalled. I'm not a snobby person. I just want my kid to be able to drink from a clean cup. We love this place! The servers and owners bend over backward to make sure our experience is wonderful. In reading other reviews, I have to giggle a bit. If you go in smiling, you will come out smiling.....period. These people go the extra mile for us each and every time we eat there. The fajitas are REALLY good. My husband and I just LOVE eating here!!! We're simple ... Give us a great smothered burrito, yummy chili rellenos, to live for guacamole, and don't EVEN get me started on their deserts!!!! This IS the third Mexican restaurant in this space .... And we are sure hoping they make it!!! The staff is great and VERY friendly!! We just love Brenda and try to always ask to be in her section! Service was ok, but when I opened the menu it smelled like it had been wiped down with a rancid rag, should have left then. The food was mediocre at best, very bland, but I was hungry so I ate most of it anyway. Horrible. Got seated after waiting at empty front desk after 5 mins for party of 2. This is weekday lunch time for reference. Table was dirty, menus were salsa goobered. Gross. I waited 15 minutes. She apparently noticed my chair was back n came n wiped table. Finally came back n took drink order. 10 to 15 minutes again got my Margarita. Still no chips n salsa. Friendly and efficient staff, but bland food. I ordered the enchilada plate, and the enchiladas contained plenty of good tasting beef, chicken, and cheese, but the sauce on top tasted like a mixture of water, flour, and cayenne pepper - hot, but otherwise tasteless. The refried beans and rice were TV dinner grade. The restaurant has a nice look on the inside, but they'll need to do much, much better on the food to survive. read more

Maybe the worst service I have ever had...went Ina Sunday at lunch and they only had two people working the floor. It was an hour before we got our food and in that hour no one ever asked if we wanted drink refills, the chips and salsa were never replenished and when the food got to us it was cold. When we got there it was pretty dead, so we were hoping to get some great service and great food. The waiter we got had a large table, and some games were on TV. We had to ask for water because our margaritas were taking forever. We were sitting right by the bar, so it wasn't like we were far. The margaritas tasted good, but I didn't taste any alcohol. That was a waste of $10 (for 2). I ordered the Camerones Rancheros which are normally prepared as follows: Grilled onion and peppers (jalapenos), shrimp and sprinkled with some goat cheese. What I got: Shrimp in some sauce (????) smothered in melted cheese (ewww) no spice. The rice and beans I must say were delicious. The server was soooooo slow. Then the manager left the bar area and one of the female servers proceeded to apply her make-up in front of several men drinking at the bar. So tacky! The bathroom wasn't that far away..I was so tempted to tell the manager, but I can tell he checked out a long time ago. We may go back because sadly, there aren't many options out here. I just may stick to chili and beans and beer (you can't mess that up). read more

Conifer, Colorado- When we feel like Mexican food (imagine touching your arm and "feeling" Mexican food; what a strange phrase- how about when we feel like eating Mexican food... Yes) this is the closest spot so it's where we go. The margs are good and we like the salsa that comes in an edible bowl with warmed tortilla chips. We also like that they have vegetarian green chili- it's not our favorite of all of the green chilis we have had but we like that it is available. The food is decent and the prices are good. Except the beans- they aren't great. Since we crave Mexican often and are here almost every week, we have interacted with many staff who are on a continuum of skill. Spencer leads the troop. We usually modify the order and whereas some staff will say, "I don't know if we can do that" or "Where is that on the menu?" Spenser just says, "sure, no problem and makes it happen." When Spenser is working our water glasses never empty, we have straws and napkins without requesting them, and our order is always accurate. She maintains a pleasant expression, is graceful in her responses, and in our eyes is an asset to 3 Garcias. The Manager is friendly and always makes it a point to greet us which we appreciate. The place could use some touch up paint and replaced wall tiles but it suits us fine. read more
