This is a solid restaurant. It has tasty food with generous portions. I recommend trying their three red sauce enchiladas. It's hard for me to rate the quality of their service since you pay up front at the counter and they bring the food to you. It's not the type of place that refills your drinks for you. That being said, the place is super clean and the food comes out fast and piping hot. I've been here several times and will continue to come here when I crave Mexican food.

This was supposed to be a dry burrito I guess takeout orders are not given the same respect as in person orders get!

Try fulfilling the order as ordered!!!!! I ORDERED A DRY BURRITO and got a wet one! How difficult is it to fulfill an order for a dry burrito. Now I'm so upset I have lost my appetite!!

Got a carne asada burrito and a hard shell shredded beef taco. What I appreciate is the well seasoned and flavorful beef used in these two items. They provided a pico de gallo and red hot sauce - both have some heat. Note that there is parking in the back of the restaurant.

Heard about this place from a friend and was invited to a group dinner. Located in North Torrance on Crenshaw Blvd with parking in the back or limited street parking. Orders are taken at the counter and they serve the food to you at your table. Decor is western style with cowboy boots and such on the walls. Service is pleasant and efficient. The place was moderately busy on a cold evening w/a little bit of rain. Our table started with chips and salsa (red). I ordered cheese enchiladas plate with beans and rice. All was tasty! Would definitely return for Mexican food when around the north side of Torrance/El Camino Village area. El Otro Amigo is the other friend! 4 stars.

One of the best Mexican restaurants I've tried! Stopped by after passing by this location multiple times! They have parking in the rear with about 10-15 parking spots available! Staff is fast and efficient with their orders and the food is bomb! The fajitas plate was STACKED! And had so much meat in it! Definitely worth the price! My GF had gotten the quesa tacos and she enjoyed it a lot! I look forward to my next visit! IG: Lovingyourtaste

Great food good service had food in restaurant and take out to go . Ambiance can depend on the time noon gets pretty busy after it's more chill , great family spot .

Super Burrito - birria version with jamaica.

Always tasty at El Otro Amigos. This time I got the wet super burrito with birria and a jamaica to wash it down, and it didn't disappoint. Includes a small bag of chips and their tasty salsa. Everything I have had here has been tasty and good portions. When craving food from South of the border it is an excellent option.

Came here to have lunch. There are a few tables here to sit down and eat. It is very crowded during lunch. We had to share a table with another couple. The Guacamole was fresh and it was real avocadaos. Nothing was added to it as a filler. The guacamole had some tomatoes and onions inside. The Birria tacos had a small cup of broth, consommé. The tacos were filling and okay. I think it needed more cheese inside the tacos. The meat was tender and the tortilla was soft. I will be back to try a different dish. They have a variety of drinks.

I was working in the area and asked a local where to go and let me tell you...this place was great! We had the Fajitas and I may say they were some of the best I've had. Chips and salsa were good as well. Staff was helpful. Vibe was sports bar meets small restaurant. Not in the best area but 100% worth the stop if you're close by.

I eat at El Otro Amigo in Torrance all the time, and my other reviews already cover the food. What really stands out this time is the service. My friend left her reusable drink mug at the restaurant, and they kept it safe for her. When we came back over a week later, they made sure she got it back. That kind of care goes beyond expectations. I even posted a photo of the returned cup. Great people here.

This place kept popping up at the top whenever I searched for Mexican food, so we finally gave it a try--and I'm so glad we did! Service was super friendly and surprisingly fast. We ordered the carne asada wet burrito and the pastor wet burrito, and both were absolutely delicious. Everything tasted really fresh, and the flavors were on point. Definitely coming back for more. Highly recommend! Next time, we're going for the fish tacos and quesadillas

Steak and Chicken Fajitas to go!

El Otro Amigo is the best! They're local, consistent, flavorful and just keep upgrading over the years. I used to get the chicken flauta plate, but now I've been on their chicken and steak fajitas. Their street tacos don't miss. The staff is always friendly and hooks it up. They even know my man's order by heart and his voice over the phone. 10/10 recommend.

I can only speak to the delivery service. I was exhausted and staying at a airport hotel for the night and didn't feel like going out. I was craving Mexican and decided to try El Otro Amigo. Food was packaged well. No spills, and the packaging kept everything fairly warm. What I ordered Birra taco - eh it was fine. It was a little of filling. Hard shell taco with shredded beef. If you like hard shells this is a good one. Ricardo's Super Burrito wet with carnitas. It was good filling. Carnitas were ok. Decent I would get the shredded beef next time. Would I order again when visiting yes.

    What are the vegan options?

Is the Birria just beef or other meats?

So they have a salsa bar or is it all bottled hot sauce?

There is no salsa bar. Ask the m for the squeeze bottle of red or green salsa from the refrigerator. They make it there. Both are really good.

    Any mole dishes?

Not yet but it's on the works .. It's going to be Oaxacan style.

Does their al pastor come off a trompo/spit?

They cook in the back if they have that it is not seen.

The chicken was fine but the fish and shrimp were undercooked and I couldn't eat them, which is why I deducted the one star. The other deduction was for the underwhelming flavors in the meals themselves. Usually when a Mexican restaurant had amazing salsa, the same vibe carries through with the entrees , but unfortunately it wasn't my experience. I've been here before, and the birria tacos were exactly what I needed for a late-night craving. Crispy on the outside with a good amount of filling and strong flavor - they really hit the spot. I ended up having four of them. The consomé on the side was really good too - rich and flavorful, almost something I could've just had on its own. The street tacos were solid. The carnitas had that tender, slightly crisp texture, and the al pastor added a bit more seasoning and contrast. Nothing overcomplicated, just straightforward and satisfying. Service was friendly, and the setup is quick and casual. In the South Bay where places tend to close early, it was nice that they were open until around 10pm. When they finally handed me my food, it was still in a bag even though my order was for dine-in, and I had to remind them to give me my drinks. They also forgot to include salsa for the chips. What really frustrated me was being told that next time I should just go to the counter after ordering at the kiosk. As a first-time customer, how was I supposed to know that?
