Got a wet burrito for the first time and it was a lot more than I bargained for. A huge burrito worth it's cost.

Had the Machaca burrito from their new breakfast menu today. It's was Great!!! Like the potatoes instead of the beans in burrito. The shredded beef was seasoned perfectly. Looking forward to the next time. read more

Super disappointed with my take-out this evening. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger, opened the box and I could already tell my food had been thrown together in the box. For starters my fries were cold and stale, there was barely any mayo on my bun, way too many onions and on top of all of that, I managed to find a HAIR melted into the cheese. A HAIR ? SERIOUSLY ? Considering the fact I placed my order at 8:23 and they don't close until 9pm, there is absolutely no reason why my food should have turned out like that. By the time I got my food and made it home, they were closed. So I didn't get the chance to call and ask for refund, otherwise I would have. I promise you this will be the last time I order from here because there is nothing more disgusting than finding hair or any foreign objects in my food. read more

This was my first visit here since I don't live that close and I was very impressed by the food as well as the environment. Service was decent and the restaurant was nice inside and bigger than I expected. I ordered the 2choice combo and choose a chili relleno and a hard shelled shredded beef taco rice and beans. All was very tasty. As we sat down we were given chips and salsa and our drink orders were taken. My friend ordered a carne asada plate which was served with a yummy guacamole salsa on top with rice and beans on the side. Prices were fairly good.Will definitely return when in the area. read more

Foods good service sucks.... The servers all seem very new, they don't remember your order and even come back 2-3 times to repeat it, they forget eating utensils, they don't refill your drinks until it's obviously empty or if you ask, and they don't seem very happy. The food is usually very good but not consistent because I order the same thing every time and it never comes out like the time before. read more

Good food especially wth the poor selection around. But don't go if you are in a hurry. They let you wait forever before taking the order even if your standing there at the counter. Wow!!! Great name change and the place looked so fresh and clean. The margaritas were great and hand poured. Perfect. Food was fresh and a great selection. Food has always been decent, service not at all. Refills have to be gotten by going near the kitchen with your empty cup. But a waitress will look at your cup and not fill it because it's not her table. You can't make this stuff up. Today was the first day the food was not up to par. This is not real Mexican food, but it's good for what it is. I usually stick to tacos - their shredded chicken is really good. I also like their rice and beans. They have probably the best iced tea in the desert (everything out here tastes old but theirs always tastes fresh). Service is usually good, but they can get overwhelmed on busy nights and forget about people who ordered for pick-up (we've seen it when we've eaten in and experienced it when we've picked up). All of the staff members are really nice and it's a very clean and cozy restaurant. It's not great Mexican food, but it's a good place to go every so often in this tiny town. read more

Had the chimichanga wet burrito with carnitas and is was better than I expected. The chips and salsa were just ok. Service was good.

Chicken nachos, tacos, carnitas are all amazing. Mango jalapeño margarita is amazing. As is their guacamole.

The food is a good treat from time to time but sadly I had an awful experience the last time I went. The food was savory as usual, ordered the carne asada fries that cost $8 or so which is a bit pricey for what you get, and our server never seemed to be there for us. After getting seated she asks for our drinks and doesn't return with them for 10 minutes to finally takes our order. Note that this was around 3:00 P.M. on a weekday so the restaurant was not packed. Finishing up our meal she brings our bill and leaves for another ten minutes. In total we spent around $10 and left $13 for the bill and her tip. We walk out of los amigos, but right before we can get out of the parking space she comes rushing out yelling at us claiming we did not pay for our food. At first I believed her and thought I didn't pay. Saying sorry I gave her $20 dollars for the meal and the misunderstanding. Later that day I check my wallet and count the cash that have left and was missing exactly the $13 dollars that I payed her earlier. I payed $33 dollars for a 10 dollar meal and that is not right at all. read more

Twentythree bucks for two "California Burritos" - mostly old French fries, a third as much carne, small amount of "red" sauce on a huge tortilla, topped with watery guac and sour cream. I don't usually leave reviews. But today I had a bad experience with this restaurant. I went in for lunch with some neighbors. The server asked what I wanted, and I replied that I wanted a CHEESEBURGER. The server then asked if I wanted CHEESE on it. We all looked at each other puzzled, and I replied YES. My neighbor also ordered a cheeseburger, and her son ordered a Chicken Tostada. The server asked the boy what type of meat he wanted, and he replied chicken. After the server left the table we were discussing the fact that she was not listening. We all heard me say CHEESEBURGER, and we all heard the boy say CHICKEN tostada. When our food arrived, the boy noticed right away that his tostada did not have any beans in it. It was a tortilla bowl filled with mostly lettuce with chicken on top. He sent it back to have the beans added. Meanwhile, I was busy talking, and adding ketchup to my burger. When I opened the ketchup, it kind of exploded all over my plate. I had ketchup on everything. I was in the process of cleaning it up when the server brought the tostada back. I then cut my burger in half and took a bite, then realizing that the burger did NOT have CHEESE on it! We waited for the server to return, and told her about it. She began to argue with me, saying that I had ordered a BURGER and when asked if I wanted CHEESE, that I had replied NO! We could not believe what we were hearing! We ALL knew what I had ordered, and she was arguing with me about it! She did take my burger back to the kitchen and when she brought it back, the cheese was on the burger, on the same plate with my exploded ketchup all over it. I loved this restaurant when it was under the previous ownership. I have eaten here several times since it's been under the current ownership, and I have been sorely disappointed in the food a number of times. I usually just suck it up and move on. We have a very limited choice in eating places out in Helendale, and it would be nice to be able to go out locally and enjoy a meal once in a while. But to have the wait staff argue with me, when I KNOW what I told her! When we were leaving my neighbor was paying the bill, and mentioned the poor service. The server was also the cashier. She told my neighbor that my neighbor complains all of the time, that she has warned the owner about her, and that we don't need to come there to eat if we don't like it! This is not a review of the food, or even the ownership. It is a review of our experience. I think a review of customer service is in order. read more

We loved Margaritas so we tried a take for the 1st time at Los Amigos. Hhmm... disappointed. I ordered a chicken chimichanga, my favorite mexican meal. It was more like a wet burrito with a slight glaze of green sauce and a teaspoon of sour cream. I am allergic to cilantro and told them that absolutely NO cilantro can touch my food. My chimi came with guacomle with cilantro. Had to cut off 1/4 of my meal. There was more rice than chicken and didn't bump into a bean or cheese. I did happen to find 2 small sharp chicken bones (?) My husband ordered the carnita entree. For 12.95, it was a "dry" disappointment. What a bummer for a new experience at a new restaurant read more
