Portion size is extremely small for the very expensive price tag. 16 plus tax for a kids meal that is very small, 1 cheese enchilada and some beans was over $13... we sat and waited over 30 minutes to order when there was hardly anyone there, charge every refill on drinks and chips... adult drink was WAY too salty... we have been coming here for over 8 years and this used to be one our favorite places but it is not worth going anymore sadly. We love Adelita's! The folks are awesome: Tony, Erika, Rosa, Bennie, and Erica! DJcolombiano Andres always makes Friday Night Karaoke fun and a great stress release from the work week, and a Cadillac Maragrita does hurt either. One of my favorite dinners is the Carnitas plate. Lately we have been enjoying a bunch of the appetizers with fans. The house wings are delicious! read more

What a fun little find driving through the high desert just off old Route 66. The restaurant has views of the man made lake. I was here with my favorite dining companion and a new friend. The decor is interesting and reminds me of what los norteños think passes for Mexican design aesthetics. The service is slow but effective. The food is clearly designed for palates that do not do well with traditional Mexican spices and flavors. They let you customize your order to your liking such as requesting toppings, sauces on the side as well as adding additional toppings and or sauces for a very reasonable added cost. I am a little picky about how my food is prepared. I always ask that my taco, tacquto and tostada shells be fried extra crispy and they do so always when I ask. Came here to silver lakes for a friends wedding and honestly I had no clue this area existed. After setting up for the big show me and my lady were craving some Mexican food and this was right around the corner. Ordered the asada taco dinner and asada nachos. I enjoyed both meals but the nachos were HELLA good like all the ingredients were spread out nicely and not just a section of beans here cheese there. The salsas were on point as well. We popped in for lunch one weekday and ordered flautas and a carne asada sope. They were both delicious. The flauta has a crispy, flaky shell. The beef inside was juicy and flavorful, with bits of chiles mixed in. There were two in our order and they were both pretty big! The sope was cooked just perfectly, with generous portions of asada (which was also lean and tasty!, lettuce, tomato and cheese. We were served by the host who was friendly and hard working. Our food came out super fast and we dined in a booth with a view of the lake. Another person popped by to check on us. He was also very friendly and super helpful. We recently moved out to Helendale and decided to try Adelita's. Simply put, great food, great service, and great drinks! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We have gotten take out which was very nicely packed so we had no spills or sloppy looking food. We also ate in the restaurant, which had a nice peaceful and relaxing ambiance overlooking the lake. Their mango margarita was delicious as was their chile relleno and their Mexican rice. Their prices are reasonable and the service was pretty quick. The service here is terrible. The food is mediocre. I've tried to eat here a handful of times trying different things and the end result is always the same. I even tried to go in just for drinks the last couple of times and let's just say you'll get better results at a Taco Bell. Go down the street to Los amigos for better food. read more

Not sure what's Goin on with this place. Constantly making making mistakes or taking way too long to get food. Ordered the usual... Chili relleno, shrimp tostada, and 2 soft chicken tacos. I was told they'd be right with me and waited 10 minutes, not bad, but then the waitress helped another customer that just came in and didn't acknowledge me sitting by the door. I had to get up and remind her I was there for pick up. Got the food and finally went home after a long day. Took a bit of the chili relleno and not a little piece, but about half an egg shell in the bite. PLUS, more in the relleno and it was so burnt it was also crunchy and dark brown on the bottom. No cilantro or lime wedges in the shrimp tostada. I called and informed and they gave me cilantro and exchanged the relleno. The last few times we have ordered, we have had issues with the food and service, even if we're the only one picking up. Hate to say this, but they just lost our business and we're going back to the other Mexican restaurant down the street. read more

I have to say that this place has gone seriously down hill. I know that COVID has impacted everywhere but that isn't an exscuse for staff to be rude and for food to be overpriced. We have tried this restaurant a few more times to give them the benefit of the doubt and it's not good every time. I ordered large chips and salsa to go which should be easy to put into a container. They said it would be ready in ten. I got there ten minutes after I called and it wasn't ready yet. I proceeded to stand there for another 10 minutes while she got it ready. They gave me the smallest cups of salsa and when I asked if they had larger sizes the waitress was rude. They also gave me the smallest amount of chips. And charged me $19 for chips and salsa. My grandchildren love visiting Adelita's, they enjoy the tacos and ice cream for deserts. The staff is always friendly and inviting.

Let me first start by saying this review is primarily based off of the food itself, not necessarily the service, although you'll see that might be in question too. Decided to go back here, even though our first time around the food was kind of bland (our first time we ordered beef flautas, a taco salad with beef, beef taquitos, and a few mixed drinks.. the meat on all of the dishes was very dry and not seasoned). Now to our most recent time here, we placed an order for pick up an hour before closing (the order included Zarapes with an Albondiga soup, a taco salad with shredded beef instead of ground, a carne asada burrito, an order of 3 potato tacos, and a piña colada) when we got there I added the drink to the order so we waited a bit for them to make it. The ladies were very nice and attentive as we waited for our order, asking if we needed anything while we waited. When we made it home and we all started to eat my son was eating the rice from the Zarapes plate and notice a fruit fly, he took it out trashed it and ate the beans, again another fruit fly... (in all there were 3 that he dug out in the rice and 1 in the beans) my 4 year old daughter was eating the Albondiga soup and had not 1 but 2 fruit flies in her soup. We all started to check the food that we had left and truthfully weren't able to finish. At that point we were grossed out after the fact. So NOW we move on to me calling them, by the time this all happened they were closed, so I called the next day, and spoke to the same woman who was the one who had taken my form of payment the night before, as I was telling her what occurred she began to over talk me and quickly started saying she found that very odd since they have people who come out and spray for spiders.. this went on for several minutes until I said mam' (in Spanish but I'm obviously writing this in English for all to be able to read) I get that but these were flies, little fruit flies, and there were multiple. I even took photos.. she then said 'oh well then maybe there's a possibility that they came in from the patio as we have the doors open for outside dinning'.. I said that's understandable but my reason for calling is to get a refund, none of us finished any of our food, so I was willing to take the containers that were still basically full. She said they couldn't give me a refund and could only give me credit.. now truthfully why would I want credit when I know myself and know I would permanently be grossed out.. this was just me being honest and saying I'd rather my money back. She said they weren't allowed and I needed to speak to the owner and/or her daughter who's only in certain days of the week and not on weekends (this all happened from Friday night into Saturday). I THEN told her I was going to be out of town for a week and wanted it resolved before hand if possible. All she said was to 'keep the food wrapped up and call back when I'm back and see what can be done once I reached the owner'.. I called today it's Friday the 2nd.. no one that can issue me a refund is in. So I'm still here with ROTTING food in my fridge that I'm now goin to throw the heck away because if anyone here has had beans in their fridge past their date it smells horrendous. I guess I'm at a loss here money wise.. but it is what it is at this point. I'm sharing this for you all to be aware, check your food, and if you have a complaint hopefully it's during a day that the right person happens to be in to assist you. read more
