I had a great experience with LAWW performing a full service on my 1968 1675 GMT. Communication with Edvi was solid. They are busy, so make sure you obtain visibility on lead times in processing your piece for initial inspection/estimate and actual service, and you'll be fine. I received my 1675 back in a few months and was impressed with the return packaging. I noticed a foreign object on the underside of the replacement acrylic, contacted Edvi about it, and per their instructions used their postage to ship it back. They acknowledged the issue, swapped out the acrylic, and sent it back quickly. This "after-service" interaction demonstrates LAWW's commitment to quality. Pricey, yes, but my 1675 looks brand new (no polish) and the additional adjustments they made to the OEM bracelet make it feel more secure so that I may enjoy this piece more often. read more

I would highly recommend this business. I was looking for a watchmaker to do a crystal swap on my first mechanical watch (Seiko) to upgrade to a sapphire crystal. I couldn't find someone in LA that would be willing to do the swap for me since it was not an OEM crystal but they assured me it was no problem. They completed the swap within a couple days and even gave the old scratched up crystal back to me. I know these guys deal with high end watches but they treated me like any other client with my Seiko. For my '83 Rolex 16750 GMT Master owned from new, the magicians (Beau) at LA Watch Works did a minor case refresh, restoration of my original hands to match the original patina on the "matt" dial, and a new old stock "Pepsi" bezel insert. I have taken two Rolexes there for service and restoration - one a (Zenith) Daytona, and one a vintage GMT II. Both watches were restored to perfection - without looking over-done. They are so knowledgable and you can send your Rolex (or other high-grade) watches there with complete confidence. Additionally, they realigned a fixed bezel on a lesser watch, but one that I like very much, and did not charge me. My regular every-day watchmaker, who is quite good, passed on that assignment. These guys did it perfectly and (since I was already a customer) did it gratis. Very rare to find this kind of care and attention to detail - highly recommended. read more

Simply the best there is. Beau and team do top notch work. I've had both vintage and modern watches serviced there and they have always come out better than I expected. With vintage watches, servicing can be a delicate task. Parts are not always available, and great care needs to be exercised when working on them. Each time I've been pleased with the cosmetic and mechanical aspects of the work. I've never had to make use of the one year warranty that comes with an overhaul. By no means is quality work cheap, but I can tell you that they provide factory quality servicing for many Swiss brands and do it faster and cheaper (much faster and cheaper!) than the factory service centers. read more

WAY Overpriced! They wanted $500 for a vintage polish and 4 weeks to get it done. That is crazy! I sent it to Rolex in Dallas and the polish was cost was 50% less at just $250. Sorry, but they shouldn't be double what Rolex charges. My local Authorized dealer here in Las Vegas suggested i just send it to Rolex and it was good advice. Just sharing my experience. read more
