My husband ordered the molcajete and said it was really good, while my mom had the fried fish, which she found a bit dry but still very tasty. We keep coming back here at least once a year and I dont know wjy! We've constantly been disappointed. Both of my kids left almost half of their steaks because they were tired of chewing on the hard meat, we should've known from the minute it was served with kraft mc and cheese not even fully cooked and fries worst than mcdonalds‍ the agasajo plate wasnt bad, the tuna with mando was pretty bland thats what i ordered and ended up switching with the hubby it wasnt horrible but i couldnt eat it. The ceviche tostada was solid as well as the marlin taco. We also ordered the recommended Pulpo Morita (grilled octopus) and Camaron Cajeme. The Pulpo was good but I was expecting a little more crispy. Just needed a little more time on the grill. The Camaron Cajeme was decent. This was a interesting dinner with my cousins. There is a definite language barrier. We did not speak Spanish and serves and all did not speak much English. Although the bartender was serving me, everyone in staff was around to help and ensure that I had everything I needed. The people around me both times were regulars and they made for good conversation, making for a great ambiance all around. The food was incredible and both times I practically cleaned the plate. They have quite a bit of food options, I ended up going with the molcajete and it was delicious! We went throughout the week so it was pretty quiet but they have a bar area and dining in the back. Found this gem on Yelp and couldn't be happier. This is a chain out of Mexico, and Phoenix is lucky to have them here. The space is nice, bright and clean - definitely welcoming. We both had Modelos on draft and they were icy cold in a frosted glass. Nice touch. The chips and dips were different and tasty. We shared Camarones a La Diabla and the Rib Eye Chicarron. The waitress never came back and I think she was so busy she forgot about us. The second problem was we asked for beans and rice and she brought salad and rice. That said... This was the freshest and most delicious meal I have had in the area. The margaritas were delicious, especially the mango one with the chili/lime powder (I can't recall what the waitress called the powder). It was an explosion of flavor. Sweet and sour. It makes me salivate thinking about it. The chicken was freshly grilled, the rice was well seasoned, and the salad was tasty. Each table received chips and some accompaniments before the meal as well and everything was tasty. For the area, this restaurant was very expensive... butts if you look at the menu you will see why. Almost every meal included fish, lobster, oysters, or some other type of seafood. My party of two with two regular size margaritas paid $70 for lunch. They started us off with complimentary chips and condiments. We started out by trying Toritos de Marlin (peppers stuffed with marlin in house made soy sauce a traditional taqueria dish). It was delicious and each one tasted different because the yellow peppers all had different levels of heat. ($10.00) For my main I had Filete Al Ajillo Con Nopal (grilled lemon sole with guajillo, garlic and cactus) ($18.00). It was tasty and was a large platter. They also served hot steamy tortillas with the dish. My husband had Camarones a la Diabla (deviled shrimp in chipotle chiltepin cream sauce) ($18.00). It was also delicious, shrimp were cooked well.
