We do a lot of take out with them because it's so convenient & I personally am addicted to their taco salads... they're amazing! Rita's is pretty on the outside. Clean, bright, bare, with a din on the inside. It is good and great all over. Rita's does show you get what you pay for. Bold green and red salsa augments the standard bowl of chips. The taste of the salsas is unique. They do not have a lunch menu, but the regular one has so much on it, there is no need. There is a list of at least 15 different items on their combination plates. (Go to Rita's website to see the full -*+menu) I chose the fish taco and cheese enchilada. The plate comes with rice and beans. The soft fish taco is loaded with steamed fileted fish lettuce and so forth. The cheese enchilada lay flat, sunk in a circle of sauce, the same shape as the refried beans are in. Mexican fried rice completed the combo. My dining partner chose (roughly chopped) Steak Picado. The portion size was large. They served it with rice and beans plus three or four hot tortillas, On the way out there were several people eating Albondigas (Mexican Meatball) soup. While the food sounds ordinary, it was not. Some places know how to cook. This one worked wonders and the service was excellent. read more

Gotta be honest I haven't been in over 2 years just cuz I live 40 mins away but damn if you live on the west valley or close to downtown, this arguably the best Mexican restaurant in the valley. The appetizers and meals all trickled out at a very impressive flow! I only had the albondigas soup and it tasted exactly like it should have. I just wish it was a bit warmer on the cold day I had it on. I cannot and will not fault the kitchen or servers for the temperature of the soup. They had 30 something plates to prepare and deliver for our group. I did not sample anything else, but can tell you ever plate that came out looked delicious! I will definitely be back with family so I can try a few different things at one time as we each sample from each other's plates. Our first visit. So many items on the menu. Our server was a very nice young man, and he recommended the Chile Verde Plate. I was torn between that and the Carne Adobada. I do love green chili though so I got it. Definitely glad I chose the Chili Verde. The meat is SO tender and delicious. I could drink the Verde sauce from a bucket. I get the green chili everywhere I go and this may be my new favorite. I had the fried ice cream for dessert. It was much larger than I was expecting, but so good I finished it all. Great Food and Service Today, I was craving abondigas, so a quick search on Yelp led me to Rita's Mexican Food and Mariscos. As we entered the restraunt the music and atmosphere were inviting. I knew I picked the right place for lunch. We were immediately seated and offered drinks and menus. Our sever brought us a basket of hot, thin, crispy chips and salsa and it was tasty as we looked over the menu. My lunch companion and I ordered Abondigas Pozole. It's shared with a automotive shop. We got the nachos with carne asada. So cheesy! It was good. We literally got stuffed from chips and salsa and nachos. My sister got the carne asada tacos and it comes with rice and beans. She picked up the taco and it fell apart. Ultimate neighborhood Mexican restaurant. We just moved not too far down the road and visited this spot earlier this week and went back the next day. When we went on Sunday, we got the house margs along with one chicken and on beef enchiladas and rice and beans; absolutely delicious. Favorite part about this restaurant is the ambiance, the place is beautiful and very authentic feeling. Went back yesterday and had 2 more margaritas and chips and salsa. The green salsa is freaking amazing and not too spicy for me (being a gringo). Honestly was going to make it 3 days in a row today but I ended up not going, honestly will probably go tomorrow as there aren't too many great places to eat that I've found this close to my houses I'm going to assume you can't go wrong with the food at this place, but when I go next I'm going to order the steak fajitas and I'm really pumped about it. Oh so not the best Mexican spot in Phoenix. I've wanted to try this place for so long and finally made it for breakfast and I wish I would have just kept driving to Food City for the breakfast burrito I originally had in mind. The coffee was just brown water. First point deduction. I ordered the Build your own combo with 2 items- Chicken taco and beef enchilada. The chicken in the taco was mush and the sauce on the enchilada was just plain gross. Need less to say I didn't get through that meal. My bf had The Nana plate and it looked horrible from jump. He asked for corn tortillas and over easy eggs when he originally ordered the dish. He received scrambled eggs and flour tortillas. Mind you I have never seen this man order scrambled eggs. Any who, he was going to keep them but then saw that he received flour tortillas. NO GO for him. So we asked the same server who took our order if we can get the eggs and tortillas corrected. So a few mins later the over easy eggs came out then the 2nd order of tortilla. Welp flour yet again. HOW DO YOU MESS UP FOR A 2ND TIME WITHIN MINUTES?!?! ‍‍ Sorry Rita's you guys need to step up your game. Cute and inviting exterior and warm delicious greetings and smells upon entry! This resturaunt is not huge but has a cozy home feel. All hands on deck , the team greeted us and made us feel welcomed! The resturaunt colorful and very clean! We chose to sit in the bar area , where we were immediately approached by our server . We ordered our beverages and combed the well put together menu! Delicious options , selected items featured to showcase a visual taste. We selected the crunchy shredded beef tacos , a "small" bowl of pozole .. it's actually a good size to shsre , comes with all the fixings, onions , cilantro ,cabbage and limes! Lastly we added the sizzling steak fajitas! Highlight was that delivery of the fajitas , sizzling , Smokey from the cast iron and aromatic! Absolutely delicious! Only miss for me .. but not a deal breaker .. the fajitas could have had a dash of salt to really make those flavors pop! All in all , loved our experience , the ambiance and yes the food!
