Chipotle Pasta

Food was good, service was a little slow. But not bad seems like they need more staff. My wife really enjoyed the chipotle pasta with shrimp.

I forgot to take a photo of my food - pasta with steak. It was excellent. Very there steak, big portion. I did get a photo of the michaelada. Everything was good and the service was excellent. It wasn't very busy for a Friday night. I would come here again

Shrimp cocktail

First time here with family for a birthday celebration & was mostly pleased with our visit. Everyone enjoyed their food however my husbands steak was cold by the time it arrived and that seems to be a common complaint. We enjoyed shrimp cocktail, fajitas, torre marisquera, quesadillas & cucuracha shrimp. The service was a bit slow (hence the cold steak)but they were also very busy & we didn't complain. I plan to come back to try more items but hope they can speed up the service.

So good and beautiful a bit pricy but worth it!! I forgot to take a picture of before cause it looked so good and I ate it right away but here's a midway

Ribete steak. Asparagus and roasted potatoes delicious.

Food is amazing and service is great. Ambiance nice and elegant. Had a big party and food came out on time. Michelada bomb.

Torre Marisquera
Arthur F.

Although an odd/interesting interior decor, the food was great, no lie. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out and I'll definitely be back to try other foods, especially some surf and turn. Give 'em a go, here's what was had. Torre Marisqera - A tower of Torre de Callo (Scallop), Pulpo (Octopus), Aguachile, Jaiba (Crab) and Camarones (Shrimp). Yooooo. This shit was legit. Highly recommend if you're in the mood. Aguachile Rojo - Shrimp Aguachile. Pretty good but not as good as the Torre Marisquera. Facts haha.

I love this place it has so many options an choices of variations of seafood food and pastas for the not seafood lovers and also it has a secret sauce some are salty for the soy sauce lovers and other kind of salsas, the services was amazing the atmosphere is incredible you can spend the time with family gladly or friends. The tables were comfortable your not to close with others which is a plus, such lovely and patient people that works there, it shows that they really care for the customer it a 10/10.

Cielo mar y tierra

Vine a comer con mi famila y el ambiente fue genial! Me comi el cielo mar y tierra estaba muy rico! Las meseras attentas y nos dieron buenas recomendaciones.

Taco Tuesday is a must here! And the $5 margaritas!

Great food, nice vibe and $5 margaritas! The customer service was great as well. You pretty much get started off with a big appetizer, the chips and dips.

We always come here for a late dinner. Los Pinos is our favorite place .. we had the shrimp cucaracha ,chicken bruschetta ,agua chile steak, Mac and cheese, kids chicken tender and fries , and the drinks are good too . I love the look inside the deer heads on the walls. Very roomy and spacious.. my daughter says it's a fancy restaurant. The sauce they use for the shrimp cucaracha use it for the steak and it hits good . Try it .. I'm a drinker I haven't tried the michelada but it looks good ..

Amazing shrimp app, Molcajete and Alfredo pasta... all top notch

I checked us in for our reservation and the hostess welcomed us in, then promptly took us to the table that had been beautifully prepared for our dining experience. She asked if the lighting was too dim, but it was perfect. Every staff member was dressed neatly and welcomed us as we walked by. No staff members were running around frantically, and I could tell they are staffed amazingly well. So organized and kind, genuinely smiling at us. I could tell that anyone would be willing to help us, if we needed them! Our waiter, Daniel, came over and again, welcomed us. He let us know the specials of the night and how dinner will be served. Let us know not to touch the 500 degree plates when they arrived. He took out drink orders and answered any question we had. He promptly came back with drinks and fresh, hot rolls!! Daniel took our dinner orders. We all sat and visited while waiting, enjoying our drinks and the hot rolls. Dinner was served on, as promised, hot plates!! Then, they served each of us the crème brûlée corn. All of us that ordered meat, asked for medium rare and we were not disappointed!! Our meats were spot on!!! Perfection!!! The petite filet mignon were very juicy and delicious, as was the New York strip. The Crispy Hasselback Potatoes were so good, especially with the topping. The Crispy Shrimp Deviled Eggs were so good!!! I feel like our meals were simple yet divine!! After we enjoyed dinner, we were served the Ultimate Warm Vanilla Caramel Cake, on the house!! What a nice touch!! So yummy and it felt guilty eating such a fabulous dessert!! We all shared it! All in all, I wish I could give 10/10 stars!! Such a wonderful dinner experience!! I can't wait to go back!!!!

We had a party of 10 and it was so fun. We all had drinks a some people ordered food. Due to party size there was auto gratuity and only 4 cards max. The bar is in the basement of the hotel. When we got there though it wasnt very clear that it was there. We got there a little early but the accommodated us nicely. Originally there was going to be 9 people but I asked day of event if I could bring another person and they said yes. The drinks were so good. Th divine feminine tasted like Jamaica drink with the hibiscus. Then I had the happy birthday Mr. President. Oh. My. God. It didn't even taste like alcohol it tasted like vanilla ice cream I'm so serious. It was delicious. Then I had the siren drink. That one wasn't bad at all. We all had a great time and shared laughs and everything. I love the setting of it though. It's a bit dark so we had to use phone lights to see the menu. But it feels like stepping into a whole new world once you enter. I think it's perfect for hanging out. Date night. Anniversary dinner. All of it. Our server was nice. Very friendly. I think he could use a little more on his hospitality just because sometimes I feel like he didn't know what to say exactly. A little disappointed that there wasn't really anything special for a birthday though. Not even a little card on the table that said happy birthday. Just a thought. Other fine dining establishments I've been in did.

When we were seated, I asked…read moreour server if they still have happy hour and he said he wasn't sure if we were still within the happy hour window - it was 3:30 PM. He then confirmed we were still within the happy hour window and offered to bring us a menu. They used to have an extensive happy hour menu featuring several drinks and food items and now their "happy hour menu" consists of a cheeseburger for $22. Not sure that that really constitutes as a happy hour menu... I asked him why they changed the menu and he put up his hands as if to say he's not to blame and said he doesn't have anything to do with those decisions. He said that "management decided to make a few substitutions but they're pretty good" and didn't provide any further elaboration. I ordered the appetizer lamb lollipops which had four small pieces for $25. My friend decided to try the "happy hour" cheeseburger and he said it was good but it did appear a bit overpriced for an average burger with a pretty hefty serving of french fries. I really wasn't impressed by the quality of the food, the portion size, the price, or the service. Unfortunately, I'll be taking Rough Rider off my list of regular places i frequent and restaurants I recommend to others.

It is extremely large inside the decorations in there are very fitting for a steakhouse! Fun fact John Wayne used to eat there. Timely on refilling your water and taking the food plates that were empty. It was nice how quickly they took care of everything. They had some amazing jalapeño corn cornbread the 8 ounce sirloin with the Parmesan potatoes and the 8 ounce fillet with Parmesan potatoes were divine! My husband got the house salad that he liked, I got their soup of the day, which was the hatch green chili and chicken soup, which was so hearty and delicious full of flavor. The customized menus for occasions are a staple and always super fun and a fantastic touch and a way to stand out and be unique compared to other high end restaurants. I loved the classic but modern feel of the whole restaurant. Our server has medium length hair and there's an open flame live lit candle and every time she bent over to clean the table or put food down, I was extremely worried her hair was about to catch on fire, she did not tuck her hair or anything just free will letting it dangle hoping it wouldn't catch on fire. Very concerning. We've been here a handful of times before for special occasions and it's been fantastic. However I don't know why the flavors this time just were not it. Everything, I mean everything, was so extremely salty. Not just the seafood tower we got and the lemon pasta but the steak, the sides, everything was so so so salty. I finished 5 glasses of water that night. We also specifically requested to save the bone from the tomahawk because we like to make stew from it. Sure that's not very fine dining of us but I also don't think that's for other people to judge. But the servers didn't pack the bone like we requested. The sides were very delicious though! Slightly salty like I said but the flavor itself was fantastic!! Plenty of free parking at the nearby parking garages at the mall, just a 5min walk is all

The Papas Verde had an addicting tang from the tomatillo salsa but were brilliantly balanced out by the chorizo and asadero cheese. The shaved brussel salad could have used a little more date and chile to balance out the vinegar but I was pleased either way. The elote was probably the only thing that fell short execution-wise as I didn't get much of the chorizo flavor, but the cook on the corn itself was perfect. The Gambas al Ajillo are absolutely a must-get. Juicy, sweet shrimp with an unexpected kick from the butter sauce and unsurprisingly great bread from Noble. The Tlayuda was a little heavy on the lettuce, but the smoked pork and bean puree combo were so flavorful that it helped balance out the richness with texture and freshness. I also loved the crispy contrast from the fried tortilla. We ended with the Concha and Mango Sticky Rice ice cream which sounded pretty simple but was quite impressive in its own right. The ice cream was a touch too frozen, but it ended up working out well with the crunchy cornflake coating and lightly warmed, pillowy concha to make a really satisfying ending to our meal. Pretty hard to get a reservation here. Tables open on the first of every month for the entire…read moremonth, we managed to score a 8 PM reservation. Once we got to the restaurant we could tell why it was so hard, they have less than 10 tables inside, and it's a very small space. We're extremely hyped though because of all the good things we've heard. We ordered two appetizers, bone marrow Elote, and the scallop Crudo. The bone marrow was supposed to be a side for the Elote, which honestly confused me because it came out as bone marrow sprinkled with corn on top, made me confused as to what would've came out if we ordered elote without the bone marrow. The scallop Crudo was so good, served with some kind of tortilla chip, I've had this at lom wongs and I prefer the one here, sauce was sweet and sour, and avocados were perfectly ripe. For our entrée, the four of us shared the 40 ounce ribeye, this was $280 and takes 45 minutes to cook, so it was quite the commitment. The platter comes with tortillas, quesadillas, grilled onions, beans, and more. We are all definitely stuffed by the time we finished it. Meat was cooked perfectly medium rare, and tasted so good with all the fixings of the platter. We also got a birthday dessert on the house which was really nice. It was some kind of pinwheel cake with marshmallow foam on top, it was just OK to me but I'm not a huge dessert person. Really cool restaurant to visit if you were able to score a reservation, I would definitely recommend the ribeye to others if you're looking for something a little elevated at a fun restaurant.

This can happen to You. I rarely leave negative reviews, but…read moreafter this experience, I feel it's important to share what happened so other families can make informed decisions. My family and I had a confirmed reservation and arrived on time, only to be told that our names were not on the reservation list. I presented proof of my reservation, including the confirmation text showing my reservation details and that my credit card information was taken to secure the booking. Despite this evidence, the staff insisted they could not accommodate us. The only option we were offered was outdoor seating in the extreme heat, which was simply not appropriate given that my parents are elderly. When we explained our concerns, we were told there was no room inside and no alternative solutions were offered. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of customer service and accountability. While there was an apology and a brief acknowledgment of my frustration, there was no attempt to offer a reservation that would work for my family and I. No gesture of goodwill and no effort to make things right. Instead, the staff member asked me, "What do you want me to do, there is no room?"--a response that felt dismissive rather than service-oriented. To make matters even more frustrating, the hostess appeared unfamiliar with the restaurant's own reservation system. She initially insisted that I need to use the OpenTable app, despite the fact that I showed her my reservation confirmation text with my reservation details and credit card information. The restaurants website has a reservation tab that has a link to make the reservation. After seeing the confirmation, she changed her explanation, which only added to the confusion and gave me little confidence that the situation was being handled appropriately. I asked several times of speaking with a supervisor or manager and the hostess declined me speaking with someone that of higher authority, more experience in these situations. I gave her my name and information so someone would follow up. Needless to say, I did not receive a follow up. This restaurant has earned a James Beard distinction, so I expected a level of professionalism and hospitality that matched its reputation. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of those expectations. Mistakes can happen at any restaurant, but what defines excellent hospitality is how those mistakes are handled. In this case, there was no meaningful effort to resolve the issue or show concern for the inconvenience caused to my family. My disappointment is not simply that our reservation was lost--it's that we were left feeling as though our business and our time didn't matter. I sincerely hope the restaurant improves its reservation process and customer service so that no other family has to experience the frustration and embarrassment that we did.

Say hello to your new favorite downtown restaurant! Wow, where to begin?…read more Service was amazing - they even printed out a small card with our reservation name on it which was presented on our table. Such a cute touch and very thoughtful. Our waitress was super knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. The spot is small and chic. It's very intimate dining so you'll be sitting close to the table next to you. Luckily, it's a quiet and calm space, so no need to worry about noise. The food was incredible. The salmon crudo was possibly the best crudo I have ever had in my entire life. So fresh and the flavors were balanced to perfection. The risotto changed my life... it was so delicious I couldn't even believe it. The only thing I would recommend skipping was the octopus tostada - not my favorite and a little fishy for my liking. Personal preference of course! The duck tasted great and was beautifully presented, but it wasn't my favorite. Again, I'm not a huge meat eater so take my advice on this one with a grain of salt. Overall an extremely romantic and special meal.

To start, the menu is a bit puzzling. It's kind of like a handful of Asian-inspired dishes, a handful of Mexican/South American, and a handful of French or New American. But there's not enough of each to chart a course through one type of cuisine. So, basically you're gonna have a cultural melange meal. Hamachi crudo was really good and fairly unique. The halibut was excellently prepared but not particularly innovative in any way I could tell. Zucchini had goat cheese, which wasn't immediately clear from the description, so I didn't enjoy the rude surprise I got when I took my first bite, and didn't eat anymore, as I really despise the stuff. So that was a waste. Not a dig on the dish, just a personal thing I wish I had more notice of. There were other issues though. The wine list was exceptionally small, They were out of the bread, which is supposedly a must-try. And then we were going to get the steak but the folks next to us advised against it, showing their cut that had zero fat. They said it was leather. On that point, the tables are SUPER CLOSE. Like, a couple inches apart. You hear everything and almost can't avoid getting entwined into others' conversation. We liked the people we were next to, but be aware that it's an unintentionally awkward communal experience that's not well-suited to a date night. The service was pretty good, they put out a nice printed greeting with the reservation name, and give you a sparkling wine toast. But considering the price and overall experience we had, I'd pass and not come back.
