One of my favorite ice cream places to go, it's just a bit expensive to me. I ordered ice cream - the mini cup with two small scoops. One vanilla and the other nut. Both really yummy, but the Vanilla was my favorite. I like the small scoops because it's still pretty decent scoop size (i almost couldn't finish it, and the ice cream is a bit too sweet. You can order more refreshing ice cream flavors like, dragonfruit which is less sweet but still so delicious. There's really no place to sit, so you'd probably just order to go. Also, there's usually one or two workers there so it might take some time to get your orders. However, they're pretty nice people and the presentation of the food looks appetizing. I do recommend to give it a try if you're in San Jose and craving some ice cream. read more

Decided to try this food (ice cream) truck out. It turns out the menu has a lot more available than ice cream. Service was good. Saw that they wear hairnets which is always a plus. The person that helped us didn't speak English much, but we were able to point out our orders. We ordered vanilla and chocolate ice cream with sprinkles, elote corn, and hot Cheetos with cheese. I've seen this truck every single time I leave the Flea Market and always drive right past it. I've wanted to try for a long time and finally pulled over to try it. There was a line of people waiting to order and I took a place in line. I read the menu to see what flavors they offer. They have milk based and water based ice cream and other flavors including Tequila. The ice cream was so interesting to me was because the way they make it. This method takes a large wooden barrel filled with ice and inside of this is a cold metal container where all the ingredients to make the ice cream are placed and it's churned. It's really a cool and different method of making ice cream that I remember from my visits to Mexico. When it was my turn to order the lady was very welcoming and ask what she could get me. I went for a Nutella and Guava small size cup. The small was a generous amount so it was a good size for me. The Nutella and Guava were good but more of a watery texture. The guava still had some hard seeds in it so it was difficult to enjoy it knowing you could bite into something hard. The service was great. The ice cream something different. I enjoy creamier ice cream so this was not my preference. They also offer a variety of snacks on their menu including mini pancakes! Menus are handwritten on green poster board paper. Every time I've driven by, there are people lined up so I knew I had to try it. I finally tried this truck this weekend and there were about 6 people in line. Parking was easy and there are benches to sit on while you wait. I tried the Gansito, mango and limon ice cream. The Gansito ice cream had a Gansito on top! Definitely picture perfect and tasted good. My favorite of them all was the limon since it complimented the ice cream style which is more watery. They aren't an actual store but a food truck located on Mabury Rd. It's hard to miss since the food truck blue and has ice screen scoops on it. Best Mexican-style ice-cream in San Jose (maybe even in whole Bay Area) I love this place. It can get pretty busy, sometimes, there's a long line. I usually go after 5pm and it's not too busy. But even if you have to wait for your order, I assure you it's well worth it. They use quality ingredients in their ice-cream. It's super creamy and delicious and not too sweet. I've tried a lot of flavors. I love that they have so many different flavors to choose from. My favorite is leche quemada (burnt milk), vanilla and pecan. But all flavors are good! Their servings and great for the price. They sell other goodies like fresh strawberries and cream, frappes, mangonadas, tostilocos, and corn on the cob. I highly recommend this place. And if you haven't already tried Mexican style ice-cream, what are you waiting for? You won't be disappointed. *side note: I do hope that in a few months they hire 1 or 2 more people to make the wait time less.
