I was a little nervous to eat here given the not so great reviews so I was very pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. I got the pastor tacos plate which came with three tacos and a huge plate of rice and beans on the side. The meal was very large. The pastor tasted delicious and came with pineapple chunks that paired perfectly. We also got the jalapeño margarita which was very good and their famous soft serve margarita which was also really delicious. The waitress we had was very nice and helpful. They were kind and let us keep eating and chatting even after they had closed for the night. I really appreciated not being rushed out the door. This was our first time visiting, and we went on a Saturday around 1:00. I loved that they offered a lunch special--even on a Saturday! I ordered the fajitas, and my husband had the quesadillas. Los Bravos is one of my go to spots for Mexican food! The service is always fast and the food is great. I tried this special margarita they had with a mini wine bottle inside and it was delicious. I've been going to Los Bravos since college and honestly it hasn't changed much. You can't get really specific here sadly because if you've been to a basic American style Mexican restaurant then you already know what to expect. Los Bravos isn't anything "special" per say but it is good food and good drinks for a good price and a good time. I won't go through what you can order on the menu, as mentioned... it's the same menu everywhere! A slight difference is their Bravos special which is their most popular dish for a reason - simplicity. It's your choice of protein (Steak, Shrimp, Chicken - or a combo) over Spanish rice, some onions, and queso. It's delicious and about $10 depending on your protein choice. Chips and salsa are free. The margaritas are really what get me coming back here though. They're strong, they're delicious. And its simple. If you're looking for a place to kick back with your friends and enjoy simple non-expensive food with good drinks? Los Bravos is your place. Not sure why reviews are low. This was delicious, authentic, fresh flavors in my Burrito El Pastor. Sweet pineapple and cilantro with onions and a special hot sauce. (Side of sour cream). Our go-to spot for Mexican. I love their salsa (it's spicy but good flavor) and they have good margaritas (not from a mix). We love the Carne Asada and Fajitas. Last night, while returning home with my car from the garage, it was too late to make dinner; so, I called in a To-Go order at Los Bravos. When I got there, I discovered they had fouled up my two-item order: Chalupas (contains 2) and Tamales (contains 3). I reiterated the order. When I got home, 3miles away, I discovered the tamales contained ONLY ONE tamales. When I returned to Los Bravos to pick up the correct order, they wanted me to pay for the two tamales that had been left out of my order. I refused to pay for them, given my extra time, mileage, and gas needed to return to the restaurant, not to mention that dinner was even later, now. Then, they said, "We'll accept 50% of the cost." I refused and told them to keep the damned things and that I would NEVER spend another dime at Los Bravos. My wife and I have been 2X/month repeat customers there, but they valued TWO TAMALES over our repeat business. THEIR LOSS!!! If you continue to support this restaurant, consider this. If they devalue their customers, this way, imagine what shortcuts they could be making in the kitchen, regarding anything kosher that they consider too much of a nuance or too expensive to provide you.
