The food was fresh, the ambiance was quiet for a bar but there is live music on some nights and good prices for the economy. Service was slow but food was fresh so it was worth it. They will get you full off nachos and dip. I didn't order alcohol so I can't speak on how good those may be. But it was clean and smelled like fresh food cooking. It is a small restaurant so they have tables and then a few booths that go all the way behind a wall. This restaurant has been around for years, but my recent visit was the first time I've ever been. Please don't come here expecting good Mexican food because you will be highly disappointed. It's more of a bar with wings and a few Mexican inspired dishes on the menu. They have a huge drink menu and most of the drinks were reasonably priced. They up charge for premium liquor though. I split an order of honey mild and lemon pepper wings with my mom. The Wings weren't bad, but the drinks missed the mark. The margarita I had was ok. My cousin ended up sending her Hennessy margarita back. The service was fine. It's not far from me and they did have a live band the night I visited. The food to me is giving American Mexican food I'm not gonna lie, so for the food I'm going to say it's like a 3.5-4 depending on what you get. I got nachos once that weren't great but I got tacos the next time that were awesome! I'm giving 5 stars to because the vibes are great, they play great music, and the service is very fast. I had Dionnica as my server and she's just a delight. She so sweet and very helpful. My friend got the fish tacos and French fries (lol). When we arrived we went to the bar to pick up our order then to the house we went. We ate the fries on the way to the house lol. Although they could've used a tad bit more salt, they were crispy and with their housemade sauce it gave it a little something extra. To go nachos aren't the prettiest but they were delicious. Plenty of cheese, plenty of flavor, and a nice portion size. I thoroughly enjoyed my nachos. My friend enjoyed his fish tacos which are tilapia and it comes with three. I am glad to see that this spot has had a decent shelflife at it's location and that it is still bringing a little variety to this neighborhood. I honestly expected to see it boarded up and gone a looooong time ago...I stopped in there early evening the other day and it was actually JUMPIN' (Clearly, it's developed a little cult following and has ample "Regulars") - Who knew!?!? The food has always been pretty good, serving sizes of the meals pretty good and customer service a little slow and chaotic and tonight was no different. If you want to seat yourself, be aggressive about getting your meal, want a bit of a restaurant anomaly for the area and don't mind LOTS of noise, by all means stop through. read more

This spot is doing dine in and take out. I went on a sat night about 7 ordered my food and after about 45 mins i just asked fir my money back, 10 min later i get my food. I stopped into this place to have a quick drink while waiting for my pizza order from across the street at the Pizzahut. It was my first time in and since I hadn't planned on eating, I thought I would sit at the bar. The bar was so packed that I decided to look for a table. (It was about 6:44pm on Monday night.) After finding a table, I was greeted by "Ayianna" my waitress. She was very friendly, professional, fun and cute! She immediately suggested things from the menu and could be seen frequently cleaning the floors and other booths. I had a Texas Marquerita and it was very strong!! (It's nice to go to a place for a change where you don't have to complain about how weak the drinks are!) The old school R&B music they were playing was perfect for the atmosphere. People (mostly mature adults in their 30s, 40s, 50s and older be seen laughing and enjoying themselves. This experience was great and I'll be back. read more

Our retiree group had lunch here, the service was HORRIBLE. Our waitress name Tiffany was very rude. We sat a hour and 20 minutes before she brought our drinks. Tea tasted like toilet water, we all sent it back. She finally brought out chips and salsa after 2 hours. We were told the health inspectors were there and they could not bring out any food. When we finally received our food (which was served one at a time) food was cold and orders were incorrect. I have never had such terrible service as I had this time. We will definitely not go back. Full disclosure i haven't eaten chicken for at least 24 years but my five friends tore up the chicken wings and said they were the best they'd had! That's saying something, especially since two of them are masterful chefs - yeah you Rodney and hone table mention to you Charles! I had the fish taco and some shrimp. Both very good. I would have given them 4 stars but they need to work on the margaritas. I added grand marnier and orange juice until I made it palatable. This place is becoming one of my Friday night hangouts. I was HIGHLY disappointed with my food. I placed a To-Go order and wanted a Taco salad with grilled chicken and got shredded chicken instead. I also asked for Italian dressing and they didn't have any so I just asked for no dressing. When, I got back to work , I noticed shredded chicken instead of grilled chicken and my taco shell had ranch dressing spilled in it and I never asked for ranch dressing. Not crazy about their customer service or lack there of. The employees are usually more worried about conversing then making sure your orders right. I've eaten here a few times but after my last pick up order I was over it. Foods average but good Mexican food. It's one of those you know what you're getting type of places. I just you go to one of the other spots that's not too far like Don Tellos they're consistent, quick and the foods good.
