This is not the best Mexican food in the area. I'm sorry. We went there for lunch and the service was ok and the food wasn't all that great. It was reasonable priced but that's the only positive remark I can give. The food was bland, the tortilla chips are too thick, the chile relleno shouldn't even be called that. I've been to some amazing Mexican restaurants that blow their relleno away. This was a ball of ground beef and cheese and the poblano didn't even look like a pepper. It was so small. I refuse to give any stars for this visit but Yelp requires a star at least. I have never given a review for a restaurant until now. Mind you we live in the area and never had any issues before. They tried remaking my nachos 3 times, failed every single time, even the last. Still had to pay for the wrong nachos, never comped. Not to mention the server was argumentative and tried blaming me. Second, our son who can NOT have sugar, because he has cance ordered a Coke Zero but she brought a regular coke, then she proceeded to tell him it was Coke Zero. She finally brought him the right drink, thankfully. Mary was absolutely horrible and the mangers response when we called was he would make sure we had a good server next time, the end. Never checked on us when we did not get this and did not get that (stuff we ordered). In addition, I asked for just grilled chicken with cheese on top (keto life). The cheese was not on top. The sad excuse for cheese.. that looked like runny yellow baby diarrhea, was allowing the chicken to swim. Los Bravos is a hole in the wall (for East Cobb) that resides in the shopping center next to Kohl's off Johnson Ferry Rd. And it is so odd that of the 6 years I've lived in this area, I never ventured over to it. Well, I had a hankering for hole in the wall Mexican, and finally didn't pass it up! There is a broad mix of indoor and outdoor seating. Bar space is fairly limited (maybe 6-7 people). I crawled up to the bar, since I was alone, and ate. Service was slow starting out but I could tell they were semi-short staffed. Chips and salsa were brought out immediately. Salsa was spicy but it didn't have much flare to it. I ordered a tall boy Corona Premium, and did the Tacos de Carne Asada (substituting chicken). Draft beers were all Mexican beers, minus Bud Light & Sweetwater (Pacifico, Corona & Corona Premium). My meal came with 3 flour tacos wrapped individually with cilantro and onions along with a spicy salsa, and a big plate of rice, refried beans and pico/sour cream/lettuce. For the price, it was a lot of food. And honestly, not too shabby. My entire tab was $24. The only thing I missed was getting corn tortillas instead of flour. Not exactly sure the low reviews here, bc it is your typical hole in the wall Mexican and hits just right. What an awesome place to dine! We had French family with us who had never been to a Mexican restaurant and they spoke no English. The staff were patient and gracious and we really appreciated it. The decor is tasteful, colorful and pleasant. The food came out hot and cooked perfectly. Most of us ate one of the combination dinners and they have a very varied selection. The cheese dip with jalapeños was especially tasty as were the marguerites. Thanks Los Bravos for the excellent service and food. You really made a great impression on our foreign guests! read more

To start, I really wanted to go 2.5 stars, but since that is not available, I chose 2, because I just cant feel good about considering Los Bravos "A-OK". Why you ask? Well, let me tell you... Located in a busy and quite large shopping center along with Old Navy, DSW, Red Sky and many other eateries and shops sits Los Bravos. At first, the experience was great! I walked into a clean restaurant and was greeted and sat by a a very friendly hostess. Shortly after being sat, a server dropped off the customary chips and dip. I honestly have no complaints about the chips, as they were basic chips...but the salsa was probably the thinnest salsa I have ever had at a restaurant, almost watery in nature. I sampled a chip or two, but quickly decided I was better off without. Following my initial interaction, the service was all down hill from there. This definitely seems to be a theme within all the reviews, so not sure why I experienced it as it appears to be a well known and long standing issue...but, sadly I fell victim to the terrible service this location is becoming known for. I was preparing to walk out as the service between my chips/salsa and my drink order was 8 minutes...then the ordering of my food after was another 7 minutes....and this was completed by the hostess!! She sat another table near me and noticed I had yet to be served, so she took it upon herself to assist me, twice! While I understand wait staff work out of sections, I made eye contact with multiple different members of staff and none of them entertained the idea to assist me, even when it was evident that I was under-served. Moving beyond the lack luster and simply disappointing and honestly frustrating service, comes the food. The menu was decently extensive with many of the Mexican staples you are used to, with a few house specialties. I ended up with nachos, ground beef nachos to be exact. The nachos were prepared with beef and cheese. I ordered a side of sour cream as well. While it took me close to 15 minutes to order the nachos, it only took 2 minutes for them to hit the table. Taste wise, the nachos were bland. The ground beef was dry, the queso that smothered the beef and chips was lacking in flavor. The sour cream was a bit tangy, but added some much needed flavor. Overall, the place was not terrible - the service was laughable and the food was bland. I do not think I will be back to Los Bravos. read more

I've eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants, and this one surprised me. The chips were crisp not burnt and tasted handmade. The salsa was fresh and had a mild but bold taste. It pairs exceptionally well with the cheese dip. The cheese dip stayed creamy throughout the entire meal and did not clump. My wife and I ordered shredded cheese quesadillas. The chicken was moist and flavorful. It had just the right balance of cheese, chicken and grilled onions. The staff were awesome and we greatly enjoyed our dinning experience. read more

Was highly disappointed considering I even told my waiter I had had a bad experience from a Mexican restaurant down the street. Their menu is overpriced even more so than Tijuana Joe's a margarita at Tijuana Joe's is $7.50 at this place it is literally double with absolutely no additional liquor. Their margarita ends up tasting like you might as well have gone to smoothie King between the almost 28 minute wait on food that never arrived and the margarita that had probably 1% alcohol I do not recommend. read more

T had combination #2: an enchilada, taco and chili relleno. He said he's had much better. His plate looked kind of sad. (I felt sorry, so I gave him some of my beans and rice. Hey -- don't touch my guacamole!) When I commented about my portion of chicken, our friends showed me their chalupa, which was stuffed with chicken. (Maybe that's the thing to order.) When I go out for a social evening, the company I'm with outweighs the venue. But looking at this place from purely a culinary perspective, I say "next!" ***** P.S. My taste would put this at a 2 star experience, but Los Bravos is about the same quality I've found when I've gone to other places that advertise themselves as Mexican restaurants (not Tex-Mex), so I'm giving them 3 stars because they seem to meet the expectation for what they are. We typically eat here once a month - the food is consistently good, but the service is hit or miss. Ironically, if you go during the weekend at peak hours, you'll have a much better experience. There were multiple staff members working tonight (a Monday) and we were table 1/4 when we got there; however, our waitress simply disappeared after taking our order and dropping off a second basket of chips. No refills, no checking on us to ensure our food was good/correct, and we never saw her again by the time we left. We had to flag down another waiter to ask for a box and the bill; otherwise, who knows how long we would've sat there sitting on our phones. Multiple staff members walked by us, attended to their own tables, etc. While we sat ignored. This is the second time we've had an inattentive waitress, and it's always the same woman. Meanwhile, on the weekends they have rockstars like Victor who are very friendly, communicative, attentive, and speedy. We always go back for the food and Victor! There was plenty of workers, they just wondered around and it felt like we were invisible. Tried to flag down our waiter to get more water and was ignored. When I did get his attention he said right away. I watched him ring out two customers and go from the front to the back a few times. I finally got another one's attention and asked for water. Our waiter heard and yelled "I got it!" Still time passed and he finally brought a pitcher and set it in the table a little aggressive. The food was just ok. On a chilly evening, my wife and I were out running errands, and periodically I'd ask "what should we do for dinner?" And to perpetuate all sorts of stereotypes, the answer would be "I don't care" or "whatever's fine." I throw out some suggestions, and then am immediately met with no's. Grumble. Among the errands was hitting up PetSmart to pick up some stuff for the pets. And then as we came out of the store, we were immediately hit with the savory aroma that can only come from freshly sizzling fajitas. "Tex-Mex?" "Sure." We actually didn't even know what restaurant it was, but we followed the scent to the Los Bravos next door. I mean, when freshly sizzled fajita meat permeates into the air, it's amazing that not every single Tex-Mex joint isn't slammed on a weekend evening. Los Bravos is still somewhat of a chain, with multiple locations; but this specific one in the Merchants Walk area of East Cobb, at mostly the corner of Johnson Ferry Rd. and Roswell Rd. (GA-120) still drew us in with good smelling food. There's plenty of parking in the shopping center, and it's a generally very safe feeling area. Entering the place where the fajitas were, the business was pretty good on a Sunday evening, but we were still seated pretty quickly. Chips and salsa and drink orders happened in pretty quick order, but that was pretty much all that was quick; except for the usual turnaround time from most Tex-Mex joints from time of order to delivery of food, that was pretty quick too. But what I'm trying to get at was that our service was pretty spotty and inattentive. Both my wife and I had empty drinks more often than not, and that's one of my dealbreakers at restaurants. The food was perfectly adequate and about what you'd expect from a Yelp 3-star A-OK rated kind of place. The type of Tex-Mex you can get at just about every Tex-Mex restaurant throughout the Metro Atlanta area. It doesn't stand out, but when you're in the mood for Tex-Mex, it does its job adequately. Overall, it was a pretty average experience, but I can't say that I was expecting to be blown away. They were at the right place at the right time, and the incidental fajita aroma reached us at the perfect time to get us in the door. But once in there, the magic and expectations crashed back to earth, and it was a pretty ordinary dining experience. Everything from price, service and quality of food were as perfectly succinct as a three-star A-OK rating goes. I actually quite enjoy the food each time we've visited Las Brazos for a Tex-Mex fix and the skinny margarita is the best in town. The fajitas and chips and salsa are wonderful as well. The issue here is the service. The hostess staff is friendly and we are always seated promptly but the waitstaff seems to be in disarray. This week we came in for dinner and there seemed to be some confusion on who was waiting on our table. Finally our drink orders were taken and arrived. We waited about 15 more minutes before the waitress came back to take our order. She seemed put out when we requested extra tortillas with our fajitas. Food came out quickly but the man that delivered it literally threw it on the table. I would have said something about it but he scurried off in a rush. Some of the food was actually on the table... We never ended up receiving the enchiladas we ordered...didn't get the opportunity to ask for an update on them because we were never checked on after our food was delivered. No one asked if we wanted a drink refill, we were out of salsa and no refills there, missing enchiladas never arrived. When the waitress came to bring our check and we mentioned we never got our enchiladas, she simply said "I'll take it off your check." Was kind of expecting an "oh I'm so sorry about that." Nope. I ended up having to flag down another waitress to take my credit card bc I had been waiting 10 minutes after she brought the check. Sadly, worst service we've received in quite some time. read more

This is your average, run of the mill, tex-mex place. If anyone coming here is dreaming of authentic well keep dreaming because this is not it. However, the food is decent, the portions are massive for the price and if you know how to order your cocktails here you will fare well. My friends are I are regulars here mostly because my friend really loves their skinny Margarita. It does not contain any mix which is great. I highly recommend ordering the Paloma cocktail. It is delightful and they get it right! The place inside looks like its supposed to for a brand new place and the space outside is nice, I just wished it was completely covered so that if it rains, you can still sit outside. The bathrooms when I went were very, very clean! The staff is always pretty friendly. What I will say is that their chips and salsa are below average for a tex-mex place. They really are not very good. The salsa is way too watery and runny and the flavor is a little offputting. I expect a lot more from them. Having said that their fajitas, salads, and carne asada are decent and I rather enjoy them. If you ask for it they will give you a good habanero hot sauce to add to your food.
