Big fan of Bronson's. Word of warning is that it can get super crowded but that just speaks to its popularity. The food is good. My most recent venture I had the wings. I did the house dry rub and old bay dry rub. The house dry rub, to be honest, was bland and flavorless. The old bay seasoning was very good. I wish the wings had come with more. For $15 you get 8 total wings. It didn't feel like great value. What is great value and tastes great are the Bavarian pretzels as well as the buffalo chicken dip. You truly can't go wrong with either one. They have a robust drink menu. They are lacking a cider on tap but it is what it is. While this might not be the most glowing review on its surface, Bronson's gets 5 stars for its atmosphere and ability to accommodate a wide range of food and drink desires. If you're thinking of going to Bronson Bierhall, read this first. I got kicked out Friday night for absolutely no reason. I was in the patio with friends, in the corner, not bothering anyone -- not fighting, not yelling, not approaching strangers. Security walked up, said there was "a complaint," refused to say who it was from, refused to say what it was about, refused to let me talk to the manager, and refused to even let me back inside to grab my own card. My friends asked him to stop. He ignored them. This is the second time their security has unfairly targeted me. The first time I had just stepped outside to take a phone call. The same guard ran after me and started accusing me of stealing -- but couldn't say what was supposedly stolen or who had complained, because nobody actually had. I told him my laptop and jacket were inside at the bar and that all the bartenders know me. He eventually apologized once it became obvious he had nothing. Same guy, same pattern, different night. Also worth knowing: my friend and I had just ordered around $100 in food and drinks at the end. Nothing finished. No refund offered, no apology, no manager. If management thinks letting one guard humiliate paying customers in front of their friends is good for business, here's your feedback. Stopped in on a Sunday and was excited to see they had a small Bloody Mary bar. They had their regular menu and a brunch menu. The chicken and waffles looked good, but I've had way better. Aside from that, the service wasn't great- a lot of people working, with little attentiveness, even when sitting at the bar. read more

A german-inspired bierhall that's true to it's intentions, Bronson's is a popular one in the Arlington area and rightfully so. With plenty of tvs, open-style seating, and a menu of german bar eats, there's a lot to like with this establishment. You can either order at the bar or use your phone to scan the barcode at the tables and pay as you go in which someone will bring your order to you upon completion. If you're an introvert or just hate talking to people, this is the way to go. As for beer, there's a large variety available on tap here and they are served in large servings. About 16 on tap, it comes in either half liter or full liter. Tons of German style beer such as Hefeweizen, kolsch, and the Optimal Wit by Port City, one of my favorites. As for food, think of mostly bar food with some German handhelds which include sausages/bratwurst which is what I usually order; they come with peppers/onions and sauerkraut. The also have burgers, pizza, and different kinds of pretzels. You can also go with their hodgepodge of appetizers such as tacos, wings, pierogis, nachos, wontons, and others. It's a bigger menu than you would think for a bierhall. It's a popular spot for me and my coworkers whenever we're in Arlington. Best time to come here is Happy Hour before 6, since crowds of young people flock this place for late night drinks. Incidentally, I always notice a very healthy under-30 crowd. I LOVEE this bar!!! It's my favorite ambiance, vibe, food, etc. This spot is always rowdy and they have tons of tvs, great food options, and drinks. October is my favorite time to come to this bar because they have a reallyyyyy goood October fest beer. We came on the weekend and it was already hard to find a table around 12:30 pm. This pub is super chill. You walk in and find your spot wherever you find it. They have really good food!! I got old bay wings (made crispy/well done) and I also got the berry salad and added steak. My sister got the blue crab pretzel and just as a heads up, ITS HUGE! Not an item for one person. For a drink, I got Sauvignon Blanc. All items are reasonable priced and there is outdoor seating. It can get SUPER loud inside so that can be a bit over stimulating. Been here recently and this is a great sports bar. There is alot of seating but can get packed if there are big games going on. There is outdoor seating with heat lamps which are very warm! Came to watch a basketball game, and was surprised my friends and i were able to get a seat. Usually Bronson's is packed when games are on. However, this time it had a nice amount of people. They also had live music, the singer was amazing. I wish i would have gotten his name. I got what I have gotten before which is the sliders, which were delicious and not too heavy. I split that, and a caesar salad with my friend which was a nice size portion and super good. We got the prickly pear margarita, and were not a fan at all. I had one sip and it tasted as if I was drinking hot sauce. I tried to add sprite and water to make it better but unfortunately it was undrinkable. My friend said she has had this drink before and it was a different color and tasted different, so maybe it was just made incorrectly. Not sure I will try it again, but my curiosity is getting the better of me so we shall see. We finished off our meal with the cookie skillet, which was a large portion of a giant chocolate chip cookie and ice cream. It was surprisingly only $7 and was enough for 3 people. I had been here twice, once in early January 2024 and once on Saturday, December 14, 2024, both were the same friend's birthday party. For his December 2023 birthday, he decided to wait until after holidays as it was a busy time for him & people in general. I'll into more detail about the December visit, but the January visit I had a burger & fries and a beer. It was decent, but nothing to write home about. In December, my girlfriend & I had a tight schedule on that Saturday and determined we were going to need to eat there, as we had something after the birthday party as well. I wasn't that enthusiastic about this (as I felt it was kind of overpriced, mediocre, and if we had time we could've eaten before or after), but we didn't have much choice. Both visits the inside area was crowded, but we did the outside patio area, which was cold in the winter, but not really too bad with some heat lamps around. In January, we were at a couple of high top tables, but the December visit was at a long picnic bench. I had forgotten from the January visit, but this was something that was annoying; there is a scanner to get the menu, and then you had to place the order on your phone with no servers except for when they bring the food/drink to your table # and to clean. I didn't like this setup. For one I prefer looking on a physical menu instead of scrolling through a small phone to determine what I want. I like when a server comes around (or ordering at a counter). I'm sure you could go inside to order food with the bartender, but that would be hassle with us being outside and being a crowded bar. On this long outside table, the scanner was only on our side of the long table, which was fine for us. But some at the party had to come from way over at the other end of the table just to scan as their side didn't have, which we thought was stupid; they should've been on both sides of the table. Also, it asks for a tip ahead of time. I'm not going to tip ahead of time until I know whatever service I'm getting is decent. In January, I left a couple of bucks in cash since it's not even full service. In December, we left and forgot since we paid up front (oh well). We waited a little bit as we weren't that hungry but knew we needed to eat. We waited about 30 minutes to see what a few people got. We determined the pizza looked good. Someone let us sample the pretzel; it was decent, but I didn't want some big bulky pretzel for dinner, which wasn't that great. We decided to get hush puppies & split pizza. The hush puppies were excellent, the best I've had in while! The pizza was good, but plenty of better pizza places, but it hit the mark enough with the chicken & mushroom. If my friend does his birthday party here again, I might try to eat before (or after). But if we were going to eat here, I'd definitely recommend the hush puppies. I have walked by it countless times at this point, but I stopped by for a run club happy hour last week for the first time. We sat outside since it was still an enjoyable, breezy fall evening. I tried their AUSTIN EASTCIDER BLACKBERRY CIDER (8.00) and it was very pleasant. I could barely taste the alcohol (and normally, I can always taste it) and the fruity flavors were nice. Overall, solid drink. A few others got pretzels, which is what they're most known for at Bronson. I had a bite of the jalepeno cheddar pretzel and it was soft and fluffy with a nice cheese pull. The fries were great. You order via QR code and they bring it out to you. Water is self service. Service was prompt for us, but we went pretty early and it wasn't crowded. It's usually packed and sometimes they have live music so late nights and weekends might take a longer. Overall, a solid spot for beer with decent food and a fun atmosphere. The food and drinks are good....but the atmosphere is horrible. They make you do all the work. No greetings, no waters, no silverware, no interaction with staff, no waiting staff that explains food options, you have to do all the work to find your own food options, you can't leave your tab open, you have to use a separate website to enter your own payment information and cash yourself out before drinks or food. I could just stay at home and eat Uber Eats. I had to leave a $0 tip because I did all the work minus cook the food. I had to go get my own water, my own silverware cause no one brings it yo you. Your have to catch the bar tender for all your questions and they are too busy serving drinks. I get more service at a Starbucks then here. Unbelievable! read more

I was able to get gluten-free food in a "beer hall." I had wings with buffalo sauce, fried sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The wings were good, as were the fries. I found the sprouts properly cooked and the star of the show. I found that the ketchup that came with the fries did not go with them: sweet potatoes are not potatoes. The blue cheese dressing that I got with my wings went well with them instead. The noise was so loud inside that I couldn't make myself understood with my deep voice. That resulted in a garble in my order. A woman in my party had to interpret for me. I was glad I had brought my noise-canceling headphones. We ate outside precisely to avoid the noise. read more

A fun open space German inspired Bierhall for casual outings! Overall the location is great for groups of all sizes. Perhaps unless you anticipate a group larger than 10 or so, can reserve tables ahead of time. The inside seating can get loud, sometimes due to live music. The outdoor seating area is very pet friendly. I have seen dogs and cats alike outdoors. Plenty of good bar food options here: pretzels, pizza, fries. Service can be hit or miss, fully dependent on how busy the place gets. For faster service would recommend ordering at the bar. read more

I really enjoyed Bronson Bierhall! It's such a fun spot to meet up with friends. They have long tables with benches to accommodate large parties. They also have high tops. I ordered a chicken caesar wrap and sweet potato fries. I ordered on the QR code/app, and I did not realize the wrap already came with fries. So I ended up with regular AND sweet potato fries. Everything tasted great, and I got to share the fries with the table. The service took a while, but it makes sense since they were pretty busy even on a Wednesday night. Although I unfortunately did not get to try the food here, I felt my rating is for the overall experience. I was recommended this place as I had a younger cousin visiting and they wanted to go out to the bars or club. This place was the perfect compromise as I wanted seats lol. We came on a Friday night and although it was busy there was plenty of seating. I like the picnic style tables as it reminds me of SF dining establishments. Gets you out of your comfort zone. My cousin and friend got drinks and being dd, I only had water. They enjoyed the beer on tap and the cocktail (wish I remembered what was the order). I thought prices for the drink wasn't terrible and really liked how accessible the water was. At a bar setting, being able to get water without asking the bartender is a nice perk. What struck out to me about this place the most was the staff. They were so kind and able to assist us with an issue fairly quickly. There was someone who was harassing my cousin a bit. The staff quickly deescalated the issue. Not only that as we were leaving, the staff followed us out and watched to make sure no one was following us to the car. That is quite the service. Fun place in Arlington to visit. I met a friend on a busy Friday evening. It was pretty much standing room only for the first hour or so that we were there until a table was available. Even with all of that it was not an issue at all grabbing a drink as there were like 4 bartenders behind bar that night and they were all very efficient. That night in particular there was a band playing and I love live music as much as the next person, but it was pretty loud. Not a problem as it was a Friday and Bronson Bierhall is a pretty large establishment. When we were finally able to snag some seats at the bar we decided to order some food and i was very surprised how good it was for such a busy night and more so for a location i would assume primarily serves alcohol instead of food. We ordered a Jalapeño Cheddar pretzel and the Cubano to share and they were both amazing. And delivered surprisingly quick. The Pretzel is the perfect size to share and has that homemade pretzel taste you are looking for. It was served up with some melty nacho cheese and a side of mustard. The Cubano was equally delicious and i kind of regret not just getting a whole one for my self. But i will keep that in mind for my next visit. read more

My girlfriend and I invited our friends to Bronson for game day last Sunday. Boy was it crowded at 1pm. Be sure to get there early if you want a table. The food was actually very good. We ordered the blue crab pretzel, the bratwurst, and the chicken bratwurst. The blue crab pretzel was amazing! Probably the best I've had. It was basically a crab dip inside of a pretzel. The bratwurst was super delicious! Perfect way to bring in October. The chicken bratwurst was also very flavorful. The drinks were great! Being a Bierhall, it lives up to the name. They had plenty of beers on tap and multiple different sizes. They have a 1L mug and it's worth it for around $16. The Oktoberfest beer they have on tap is one I highly recommend. The ambiance is super open and casual. There's tons of TVs and they have NFL Sunday Ticket to be able to play all the games. Inside has a better view of all the games but outdoors is definitely nice when the weather is nice. People brought their dogs and it's super accommodating for pets. The service was really good for how busy it was. They did mess up and give our champagne away but they made it better and got us a replacement quickly.
