Truly good! We seated ourselves next to the stone fireplace which needed a thorough cleaning and enjoyed the log cabin ambiance. Tables only, no booths. The rest of the place looked clean! Our server Dennis was very kind and attentive to us and answered all our questions. It was raining this evening but we were happy this place was open. After driving many hours from Denver, I opted for a margarita and got the Top Shelf. It was really delicious. Strong too!! They have a copious selection of dishes but I wanted the shredded beef enchilada and chile relleño combo which came with beans and rice. The beans tasted homemade and the machaca in the enchilada was amazing!! My fresh green chile relleno was filled with a yummy white cheese (not the dreaded cheap cheddar cheese!) and the portions were perfect. While the prices are higher than most other places, it's really a solid Mexican food restaurant!!

Great Mexican food in Sourhfork. The food was delicious, the service extremely friendly and wonderful ambience in a 100-year-old wood structure. It's a must stop if you're in the area.

Los chavalos I LOVE the log cabin feeling. This place was cute, long, clean and I really liked the salsa. I also ordered a chicken enchilada and a pork tamale, I was happy with my choice. Marg was good and big. Thank you Eva, Sofia and Megan. What a fun crew. I WOULD RECOMMEND

Food was authentic. Not so Tex-Mex. Great service. We will be back. Clean and neat. It was quiet on a Sunday afternoon. But all the better.

Very good place to have lunch off the beaten path. I stopped here while passing through town on a road trip.

Absolutely delicious! Sad we visited for the first time on our last night in South Fork. I could eat here multiple times in a week for sure!

Nestled among the peaks of the Sawatch Range, where tumbleweeds might theoretically roll if they weren't caught in the spokes of a passing bicycle, sits an establishment of peculiar perfection: The Biker & The Baker. My compass has unerringly pointed to their door every single time I visit Salida over the past five years. It is a tradition forged in sugar and chain grease, where the rugged American West meets the precision of French pastry. Pairing high-desert riding with artisanal baking seems like a recipe for a pile-up, but the execution here is a sweet ride. You will find aerodynamic cyclists sitting elbow-to-elbow with flannel-draped modern prospectors, united by a singular quest for butter. The Biker handles the gears, the Baker handles the tiers. They aren't just coasting on charm; they are pedaling toward culinary triumph, baking up a storm that rivals the monsoons over the Arkansas River. The confections are miniature monuments to indulgence. I have routinely panned for gold in this valley, but the true motherlode is their lemon tart--a symmetrical marvel of citrus striking like a high-noon sun. Their charcuterie boards are arranged with the geometric exactitude of a surveyor mapping a railroad. Whether you are gearing up to summit Mount Shavano or recovering from a grueling promenade, this sanctuary provides the requisite fuel. It is the exceedingly charming destination itself.
