I'll focus on the breakfast burritos because that is what I've had here so far (4 times and counting). The flavor is off the charts, from the beans to the eggs, everything is seasoned perfectly. I'm generally a bacon or chorizo guy, but their carne asada has converted me. I recommend calling a head, because their food is prepared freshly and can take 10-15 minutes, but the wait is well worth it. I've enjoyed breakfast burritos from San Diego to San Fran, all through North Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona, and from TJ to Tulum (and a ton of places in between), and I put Los Chiles Locos up at the top. Their salsas deserve a mention of their own, my favorite is the habanero, a great chile flavor with a heat that keeps building until your lips are tingling, your mouth is watering, and you are panting before those final bites. Best place for tacos in the area! This is my go-to spot for tacos. Their prices are very reasonable and food is always so tasty. I recently had them cater an event for me and HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I came here craving a breakfast burrito somewhere close by. I ordered and it took no longer than 5 minutes to make my burrito. Great speed there. They include tortilla chips and salsa. The red salsa was really great and went perfectly with the breakfast burrito. I wish I asked for more! In my Yelp tenure, I have reviewed many carwashes, and the one next door to Los Chiles Locos is no exception. Over the years, this spot has had different names and owners, but it seems that the new management has embraced their place in the neighborhood and continue to serve up delicious Mexican fast food. I can't help but order several tacos and a big bean and cheese burrito, all washed down with a huge fountain Coke... darn near every time I visit. While the workers next door are taking an inexplicably long time beating the kid-dust out of my truck's floor mats, I sit down on the colorful old-school vinyl seats and maw. The folks behind the window always hook me up with a few extra hot sauces when I ask. I am El Gigante Picante, after all. Variably, the store has Taco Tuesday specials and other day-of-the-week promotions from time to time, all expertly marketed in window chalk or big signs on the store front. I was expecting tiny tacos for that price, but I was pleasantly surprised with decent size, stuffed tacos. The asada and al pastor was flavorful and cut into tiny pieces. The tripas was cooked just right and cabeza was flavorful. They served chips and brought the food out quickly. They offer a variety of dishes including fajitas and a few agua frescas. I drive by this place everyday and I must say there is no curb appeal. However, I stopped in for a little snack since it's now under new management. I ordered the carnitas sope and a large jamaica. The sope was delicious, they pile on beans, cheese, lettuce, sour cream, guacamole and meat. The carnitas was spot on, it had good flavor and texture without being oily nor dry. Jamaica is not overly sweet, like most places. I thought it tasted weird on the first sip, but the more I drank, the better it got. I has an intense herb flavor with just enough sweetness to balance out the tart. Very refreshing indeed. read more

I've driven past this place for more then 15 years at lease. I was really hungry and needed some tacos. Saw a big sign on the window .75 cent tacos everyday, holy shit, that's cheap. "after 5pm" Oh will, I have to pay full price $1.50 or something like that, it was cheap so who really cares. Two thing to know about a fast food non-chain taco shop. Be nice to the clerk taken your order it could be the owner, be respectful and always leave a tip, pretty damn easy. I'll be back to this. 1 Asada Taco. Onions, Cilantro and wacky flavored red sauce. The reason why I say wacky is because I can't really pinpoint what the hell was in it, but it was very good. Asada was cooked excellent tender meat mixed in the sauce. 1 Chicken Taco. Onions, Cilantro and the same red sauce. For some reason I thought there was chunks of water chestnuts, yeah I know strange but it did look like it, it was chicken or some odd chicken flavor chestnuts. It was good. The outside eating area. Think 1970 picnic table that's padded, but hasn't been cleaned since the 70s. I really you could get some odd disease from seating on them to long. It was that dirty. There was a family seating at one of the tables, this was my entertainment kid eating off the table dad fighting with wife over the refill charge of 75 cents for a drink, she refilled root beer he wanted diet coke, the mother just seating there rockin back and forth. All waiting for a old mini van to be washed at the car wash next to the taco shop. Seriously the refill was worth more then the mini van, mid 80s van. If your an asshole to the clerk/owner of the place, you'll end up paying for the .75 cent refill. After I was done, I thanked the clerk/owner said the tacos were awesome and received a free refill. Even if the food sucks, be cool and respectful. It mat pay off in the end. 2 tacos and drink $4.64 with free refill. lol The reason why it's 3 stars the tacos where very good better then most places I've eating at, the picnic tables need replaced or at least cleaned, it may take 30 minutes to clean them, your next to a car wash, come-on guys clean the damn tables. You lost 1 star just because of the dirty tables. read more
