We were at Tanger outlets shopping for school clothes and decided to try someplace new. Los Chiludos popped up on Yelp and with the reviews we thought we would give it a try. I can't recommend this place enough. The seating was outdoor, I didn't ask but I'm guessing due to ongoing covid protocols none of the seats inside were available so it was limited to 15 tables or so. The food was absolutely amazing. I ordered the burrito chilango, which was grilled chicken (or steak) with peppers, onions, rice and a ranchero salsa on the inside. My wife order the veggie tacos and which were tacos with peppers and onions and rice and pinto beans on the sides. Our two sons both opted for the chicken fingers and fries. Everything we had was wonderful. The tacos had a nice homemade shell. If you're in the area and looking for a nice place to sit down and enjoy a great meal I definitely recommend checking out this establishment. read more

I've lived in the Bradenton Beach area for years and I know this business opened a few years ago, but I cannot believe I have not tried them until a couple of weeks before hurricane Helene and Milton hit. I absolutely love the food. The tacos are so delicious. They're very flavorful. I also like the fact that the bag of chips that they give you is ginormous. It's way too much for one person to eat, but I guess you can split it and eat all week from it because it's that big if you really wanted to. So you get great food and lots of it for a great price. This place is fantastic! It's a family run business serving the best Mexican food I've ever had. They have a nice menu, but their daily specials are even better! I highly recommend their 3C burrito. You will not be hungry after eating this monster! They've also got other specialty items like Elote and churros. The food is always worth coming again for, but what really makes this place for me is the people. The super friendly, down to earth, and genuinely want you to enjoy your experience. Come in once or twice and they'll remember you out of the thousands of faces they've seen. Comfortable seating is available inside. Nicely decorated with a Pittsburgh flair. Vacationing on Anna Maria Island, we were looking for something different for dinner. Found this place on Yelp, and the menu looked great so we decided to try. We arrived only about 40 minutes before closing, but the team was super accommodating and welcoming, patiently helping us order. You order at a counter, and they bring the food to your table, either inside or outside. The food arrived very quickly. Almost shockingly fast. We were a group of 6, so we got to try a lot of the options on the menu, and every dish was more delicious than the last. Our highlights were: Fresh tortilla chips, guacamole, and chipotle salsa, Shrimp tacos, Taquitos, and the Carnitas Platter (which I would give 6 stars if Yelp allowed ... the beans and rice on the platter rivaling the actual carnitas for flavor ... really special) ... thinking of skipping the beach tomorrow so we can come back for lunch. read more

I'd read a few reviews about this restaurant, some of them saying it was the best Mexican food since they'd lived in California (as a CA expat, I saw that as promising). This is a small crowded restaurant with only a few tables, but we were lucky to have a table open up as soon as we arrived. It should be noted that info about available alcoholic beverages was misleading - the pics on yelp showed a variety of alcoholic beverages and a note saying "full bar". We arrived to find only a frozen margarita machine and bottled beers. Ugh. We ordered tacos, quesadillas and Guac/chips. The tacos and quesadillas were good, but the Guac was just ok. The service was great, and there's not much to say about the ambience (it's in a strip mall and about the size of a Dunkin' Donuts). I'd go here again, but I would not compare it to most of the excellent Mexican restaurants that I frequented when I lived in CA. read more

It's definitely the best Mexican in Bradenton/Sarasota. I grew up in California, and missed the days of enjoying real good Mexican food. Thankfully, this place brought me back to enjoying Mexican food again. The shrimp burrito (not on the menu, but the kind gentlemen made it happen), shrimp tacos , and cauliflower tacos were excellent. Chipotle salsa is not typically my go to, but this salsa had excellent flavor. I do wish they had a standard non pico spicy salsa. The ingredients are fresh, the recipes are authentic, the owners and their staff are friendly and solicitous. We've never had anything we didn't like here, but we gravitate towards the carnitas platter (which honestly can serve two, but makes tasty leftovers if you don't share), steak burritos, steak and chicken tacos, Birria tacos, and the best tortilla chips I've ever eaten with equally delicious guacamole and/or chipotle salsa. It all started in my 9th grade Spanish class when Senora Z, the best Spanish teacher ever, ordered the class a catered lunch from Los Chiludos. After that, I was hooked on this little restaurant in my hometown and it would become my parents' and my favorite place to get good, authentic Mexican food. Los Chiludos is located in Southpointe, and after getting off I-79 it's fairly easy to find as it's only about 5 minutes from the exit. We were going to call ahead for takeout, but by the time I was ready to order we were almost there. Of all the times I've eaten Los Chiludos, I've never gone inside. We typically got takeout at home and my dad would go in and pick up the order for us, so this time was my first time actually getting to check the place out. There is a small bar area at the front of the restaurant, and right past the bar is where you place your order. For as small as it looks from the outside, there is actually a lot of seating here. The walls were also covered in big, bright murals that fit the Mexican theme. My boyfriend decided before we even left home that he wanted a chimichanga, which is what started my affair with Los Chiludos back in high school. They typically come made with chicken, beef, or shrimp, I believe, but my boyfriend upgraded to steak as his protein. I went for the fish tacos today because they come with some of Los Chiludos' mango salsa on them, and I LOVE the mango salsa. It's closer to a pico texture rather than a pureed salsa, and it has plenty of cilantro in it. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! Although we went into the restaurant to order we opted for takeout so we could relax at home, and our food was ready in no time. The margarita menu was incredibly tempting as we waited. Some of the marg flavors like strawberry banana and mixed berry were really unique and I'd love to try one during a future visit. We utilized all the willpower we had to avoid getting margaritas that day, and we were on our way with plenty of food in tow. My boyfriend's chimichanga was HUGE. You can choose to get it topped with sauce which I'd recommend getting on the side to keep the chimichanga crispy, but he got the red sauce on top and it was delicious. It was filled to the max with cheese and steak, and it came with a side of rice and pinto beans. My fish tacos were a work of art, but they didn't come with beans and rice so I opted for a side order. Everything was just as tasty as I always remembered it to be, and I'd even be willing to say this could be our favorite Mexican spot around. read more

Absolutely delish. Words can't even describe how yummy. The product is so fresh! The shrimp and steak are cooked perfectly and so juicy. We had the surf and turf burrito which was incredible. It could feed two! My husband had the chicken taco salad and it was full of flavor! We also split a Chips and guacamole all amazing.
