Grouper tacos with refried beans and rice.
    Charles J.

Great place for inexpensive to moderate priced selections. We really wanted grouper tacos, which they had grilled or fried options. So we chose both. One plate of grilled with refried beans and rice, and one of fried with black beans and rice. Both delicious. Menu mentioned these tacos were a bit spicy. They were moderately so. Relaxed come as you are atmosphere. Beach attire with coverups etc. Server was terrific, very attentive, helpful and mentioned available discounts at partnering businesses by showing the receipt.

Good food, although island prices are steep to dine out. Wait was long... tables in the bar area were open but were not first come first serve, which was confusing since all the other restaurants we visited nearby allowed that. Service was great, especially for such a large party as we had. The waitress didn't lay some rule on us but instead easily matched every parent (at one table) to their kid(s) at the second table. Ambiance is seriously cool and right off the beach. Solid place and we went a few times and will be back again next trip.

Stopped for breakfast and it was SO delicious, I will be back! The chimi was a burrito that was perfectly toasted, the refried beans and potatoes were a great side, and views you just couldn't beat. Quick service too! Can't wait to check them out for happy hour!

The food there was pretty good. Would not call the food great, but would come back. Enchiladas were dry. Brisket tacos were incredible and would highly recommend.

This is walking distance from most places to stay and it is well worth it because you get a beach side view. Because this is island time, I do recommend to pack your patience as a customer. When we went, there were only a couple of servers. I had to remind one of the servers to please give us one of our drinks after everyone else got theirs. The breakfast food here is absolutely amazing. They are definitely doing something right. You get a filling portion and the food has great flavor. Definitely check out Wicked Cantina especially for breakfast to start your day off right.

Had a great experience at Wicked Cantina. It was within walking distance which made it an easy choice. The carnitas tacos, brisket tacos, guacamole, and queso were all great. They have outdoor and indoor seating. There are fans on for the outdoor patio. The service was great both times we dined there. It can get super busy! Definitely recommend the margaritas!

Everything you want the outdoor beach eating experience to be! The staff is top notch, very attentive, informative and adding to the overall dining experience. (Thank you Caesar) Enjoy the sunset, live music on the porch or inside with a fresh, not from mix, margarita in your hand, a list of at least 20 tequila's are in stock! The food is likewise fresh, flavorful and served hot! We stayed just a short walk away, but it is worth a longer walk or drive. Parking is free and easy in the off season.

Free chips and salsa, mix and match enchiladas, and beef fajitas.

The hot spot of the town! Come here for good vibes, music, and Mexican food! Wicked Cantina is a fun, relaxed, and casual spot. The table started off with free chips and salsa! For my main, I ordered the mix and match enchiladas meal where I got to choose two of the same or different enchilada varieties. I picked one beef with chile con carne sauce and one shrimp with creamy seafood sauce. I'm happy to share that cleaned my plate! My friend ordered the beef fajitas. This came out on a sizzling plate and a handful of tortillas on the side. And my other friend ordered a burger. Both were also satisfied with their meal. The servers were friendly and service was quick on a Thursday evening. We didn't need to wait long for a table, but the entire restaurant was full! Glad to know that there is outdoor seating as well. There is a parking lot and plenty of parking. This spot is located across the beach.

2nd visit. Service is busy but friendly . You can get a table or sit at the bar. Our margaritas were very good. Chips and queso was good. My chimichanga was big and delicious. My friend got the quesadilla that was good also. Try the green wicked sauce. Nice beach Mexican restaurant.

Good location, good food, great service! I had the creates 3 combo. 1 cheese enchilada, 1 chicken enchilada, 1 crunchy beef taco, charro beans and rice. My friend had a beef salad and didn't care for it. She said the beef wasn't good. I loved my meal! Service was great!

Nice lively vibe, great sunset views, they had live music, it was a Friday night. Good Margaritas and traditional Mexican fare. Nice portions, food was fine. Service was friendly, prompt and welcoming. Would go back if in the area.

This review could've been a 5 star for the food and ambiance but I have never in my 51 years on earth come across a more miserable bar tender in my life. Her name was Gabrielle and from the moment we walked in and sat at the bar to order food and drink she didn't crack a smile or be welcoming. Every request was met with distain and a grimace. Honestly don't do the job if you hate it. It made an awful experience and night out for us. When the food was great and tasty. Her attitude totally took away from all the good. Wow just wow at how bitter and miserable she was. We even tried to engage and nothing absolutely nothing. We travel a lot and eat out a lot and from her attitude I wouldn't come here again and find a more Welcoming environment.

The first morning I went with my sister, and we had such a good experience that I came back the very next day with my brother, nephews, niece and sister. I think that says a lot right there! The food was delicious. The waffles were so good, the eggs and home fries were great, but the mango butter... WOW! I'm not even kidding, you have to try it. It was so good! The second day we had the whole family with us, and everyone loved the food. My nephews, niece and the rest of us were eating like we hadn't seen food in days! Everyone kept talking about how good everything was, so I knew we had found a winner. But honestly, what made this place really special for us was Nicki. She was amazing. Her customer service was incredible, but it was more than that. She was so friendly, funny, warm and genuinely welcoming. She has one of those personalities that just makes you feel good. You can tell when someone truly enjoys people, and Nicki definitely does. When I came back the second day, I was so happy to see her again. Then, when we were leaving, we actually gave her a hug. How often does that happen with someone you meet at a restaurant? I think that says everything about the kind of person she is and the impression she made on our family. The food was great, but Nicki is what will make us remember this place. A good meal is always nice, but having someone make you feel that welcome is something you don't forget. If you're visiting Anna Maria Island, you really should stop at Toasted Mango Cafe. Come hungry, definitely try the mango butter, and hopefully you get to meet Nicki. You'll understand exactly what I mean. We loved it and will absolutely be back!

Omelet was huge and very tasty. Just the right amount of jalapenos. The avocado cream didn't do a lot of lifting. Homes Fries were wonderful. Crispy on outside and soft and cooked through on inside. I opted for a biscuit instead of toast. Biscuit was massive. They nailed it on the biscuit. Was not a fan of the mango butter. Second visit, I went with Eggs Benedict. The eggs were poached perfectly. Was not a fan of the hollandaise sauce. Was a little too runny and not extremely flavorful. The ham was okay & the english muffin toasted well. Nothing ruins Eggs Benedict for me more than an under or non-toasted english muffin. Need to have some crunch. Went again with the Home Fries - still wonderful. Lastly, my son ordered pancakes during my first visit. I took a bite because that's what I do. Not good. They were tough, not fluffy, didn't absorb much syrup. Almost tasted like they were overcooked. No flavor. In summary, omelet and home fries were great. Skip the pancakes.

Our server, Mary, was amazing - she was training a new server, Amy, and they were both great! Such a sweet touch and a fun way to make first-time customers feel welcome. As we ordered, Mary offered suggestions and was helpful without ever being pushy. Both Mary and Amy were attentive and friendly, and the service was excellent. My husband ordered the Club Sandwich, my daughter ordered the Belgian Fruit Waffle, and I ordered the West Coast Arnold. Our ratings: Husband: 8/10 Daughter: 9.5/10 Me: 10/10 And please know that my husband is a HARSH critic, so an 8 from him is basically a 10. And that churro donut they so sweetly let us try? Both were gluten free. Now I have to admit that the lox avocado toast was about 6.5/10 (as the avocado had that weird taste it develops when it sets out for too long), but the waffle was SUPER good, ESPECIALLY for a GF option. The coffee was decent. Customer service was good. Everybody was very friendly and attentive, from the cashier to the wait staff. I have to say that I also got an iced latte with coconut milk and I was ecstatic that they had the coconut milk option because I'm noticing that it's becoming less and less available. Now to the other things that I have tasted; I tried their chai chiller. Even though it was too sweet for my liking (I reckon it was made with chai syrup). However, I think it tasted great -and the spiciness really was coming through. Finally, the tried the morning glory baked item. It was good. The combination of coconut, carrots, cinnamon, and raisins worked well together. I also got an orange-something scone, but have not tried it yet. While waiting, I noticed the woman greeting other guests very warmly, with things like "come on in, baby." When our table was called, she mispronounced my husband Tony's name. He simply corrected her and said, "Tony," and her response was, "whatever." As we approached the entrance, she was standing in the doorway and I finally asked, "Can we come in? It's hot out here." Her demeanor immediately changed and she silently moved aside and led us to our table. I'll be honest: once I sat down, I cried for about five minutes out of anger. I'm pregnant, I was hungry, my two young children were with us, and after waiting so long I didn't feel like I could simply pick everyone up and start over somewhere else. I also didn't want to have an argument in front of my children, so I swallowed a lot of what I wanted to say. I can't say what motivated the difference in treatment, but as a Latina woman, I noticed it and it made me uncomfortable--especially when I later watched difficult interactions happen with two other Latino tables as well. I was glad to see apologies and much warmer treatment afterward, but our initial interaction had already affected what should have been a nice family breakfast. Thankfully, a second server eventually took care of us and our experience with her was much better. We ultimately waited around another 40 minutes for our food. I'm not writing this because I expect special treatment. I expect the same basic courtesy given to every other guest. Whatever the reason for the initial behavior, responding "whatever" when a customer politely tells you his name is disrespectful and unnecessary. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because no guest should leave a breakfast table wondering why their family seemed to be treated differently.
