I had the steak quesadilla and my husband had a steak taco and a chicken taco. Everything was made to order and delivered to our table . The food was well worth the price, fresh, hot and delicious! Homestyle authentic Mexican food that's busy and delivered a flavor punch. Pick from a mix and match tacos, burritos and more. The chicken taco was my least favorite but the fish and steak were both good. The birria tacos were well seasoned and had a spicy consommé that when combined, they had a sense of being too salty. But add the guacamole and it cooled the mouthful. No one had a burrito this time. The limited tables moved quickly but we opted for the counter. Service was great and very friendly. This was some of the best Mexican food I've had outside of Mexico itself. It tasted as if someone's grandmother was in the kitchen making their old family recipes. Delicious! We were on Anna Maria island for vacation and had just average food, so we decided to drive 10 minutes to this awesome place. Everything was delicious! Even the frozen drinks. My family of seven enjoyed every single bite! And the churros are made to order and to die for. That's about the only thing I got a picture of because we ate everything so fast. Great low key authentic south of the border joint that won't break the bank. Atmosphere/ambience: fair taqueria decor for small previously generic restaurant space. Playing Juanes and Maná with pride the whole time we ate. There's just enough room for four tables that seat 4-6 people snuggly. There's a bar seating row too for lunch hour rush. Service: super attentive, quickly delivered food, took food away for us though didn't have to, owners checking in to make sure everything was good. Food: yum. We had the steak tacos, carnitas platter, bag of chips and guacamole, and kids taquitos. Everything was scrumptious. Loved the legit corn tortillas, fresh pico, and sauces. This isn't a dumbed down Americanized Mexican restaurant. Drinks: still awaiting their liquor license. Hoping for a nice selection of Central American cervezas and margueritas. Stopped in for dinner tonight and so glad we did. We had the steak tacos and nachos with guacamole and salsa. The chips and guacamole/salsa were fresh and tasty. Visited this place on our way drive a couple of months back; Cali Mexican Baja style cooking that was absolutely delicious and large portions for its price. I am a sucker for good seafood and when paired well with Mexican, it is so delicious. I think seafood Baja flavors taste cleaner and less greasy than a Tex Mex (I'm less of a fan of that heavy, greasy cheesy beef burrito style). Pair the a Baja dish with some cilantro, tang, and appropriate mayo/cheese and it is a killer combo that is comforting and crowd pleasing. We got some fish tacos and they were phenomenal. There was also an off menu item we got that happened to posted; some Tornado combo that had shrimp in it and that was also delicious. Mayo, seafood, lemon juice, cilantro, rice- what better combo can you possibly get?Based on this taco, I could tell whatever you order at this place, you can't go wrong. I mean, any Mexican restaurant offering fish/seafood options, is usually to me a pretty good place to want to be brave to offer such a less commonly eaten option. They were not having sit down indoors but there are outdoor tables for you to eat; good for us because we were traveling and didn't want to stuff our faces in the car with such delicious options. Friendly people behind the counter who helped us explain their fantastic options. If they offer some tornado/torpedo kind of option, highly recommend that one if you see if in their restaurant again. Shrimp was soft and not overly cooked. Would go back again if I'm ever driving through this direction. read more

We have followed this restaurant since they opened in Pittsburgh. The food has always been one of our favorites and we made the trip from Tampa to eat here again. The salsa and chips are always fresh and flavorful. My favorite is the steak burrito with green sauce. It is one of my favorite meals! Ambiance : 5/5 It's a small place but they have decorated it super cute! Not a place for large crowds. Do a To-Go order if you have a party over 6 people. For smaller groups (2-4 people) it will work. Maximized counter top dining if you don't mind sitting in a row. Food/Drink 5/5 When they say they have the "Biggest" burrito they are NOT kidding! We started with queso and chips. Yum the queso was delicious without too much spice and the chips are homemade everyday. I'd just come here to get a bag of chips and queso for a snack (lol). I had the Tinga Chicken Burrito, my wife had the Steak Chilago Burrito. Both were excellent and so big we could only eat half. Service : 5/5 Tara the owner is hands on and the servers were all pleasant. They checked on us and cleared items as we finished our appetizers and meal. Yummy tacos, and as good as it looks taco salad! I like my chicken tacos made with Tinga sauce, and this is what they have going on. This variety of prepared chicken is much more flavorful than bland Tex-Mex, or what you get from American Mexican chains because its a bold chipotle sauce made with tomatoes, onions, adobo sauce with chilis, and spices, and it's a nice deep red. My server was kind and helpful and attentive. A lot of places won't go out of their way to make sure you're satisfied and happy, this place was a joy. I do have to say the mild sauce is better than the hot, but I'll forgive them. I'd give them 5 stars, but I do still prefer the chicken tacos at the red barn. Those are off the chain. But these come in at a very close 2nd. They are very good. As long as they remain consistent in quality, I definitely recommend. I had a great experience here. read more

Come hungry! While Out on vacation with friends we came across this gem of a restaurant. From the service at the counter to the amazing food, there is nothing here that will disappoint you. The owner (Tera) was amazing and made you feel at home. The 3C Burrito was massive! I thought I could take on the challenge of it but had to take half of it home. If you are looking for some good Mexican food, this is a good place. They just reopened dining in. It has been take out for over a year. We have ordered take out a few times. I sometimes forget to ask for the list of specials when we call in our order or you can look on Facebook. Recently had the Shrimp Volcano, which was a large portion with tasty shrimp, gaur, and a lot of Mexican rice, cheese, corn and some sauce. A really good meal. We have been coming to the island for 20+ years. This is the best food on the island. Without question. This is also the best service on the island. While I can appreciate the headaches spring breakers bring, it does get tiresome feeling like you are inconveniencing restaurants by showing up. The last two years have been a series of large check averages for marginal food served by exasperated servers. Today, we had phenomenal food. Fish tacos, shrimp tacos, flautas, churros, chips, guacamole, and salsa. The attention to detail and the love that goes into this food is clear. While this is an order at the counter kind of place, the service was kind, friendly, and we felt welcomed.
