We got there right before opening time of 4pm (when the crowd wasn't too bad) and got the last free parking space in the lot. Everyone else had to valet their car. My neighbor let me choose my dinner first while she secured a table for us on the Lanai. It was a shared covered area with a cool breeze flowing intermittently. I chose the taco plate at Jenny's Birria because it was Taco Tuesday! Service was efficient. The gal already had a taco plate assembled - with a half wedge of lime, a container of consommè, and 3 birria tacos. They were warm and crisp with cheese and meat inside the grilled tortillas. TATER STICK: Plain and simple it's a potato cut in to a spiral shape, pinned with a stick, and deep fried. Yeah, you are paying for the novelty of it all. You can choose different flavors. Check out my pictures for the different selections. I tried the tater stick a few times and each time it came out soft. My kids like it but I prefer it crunchy. I tried something like this a few years ago. We have tried the Cheezy Cheeder, which by the way tasted plain. The other flavor we tried is the salt and garlic pepper. My kids and I enjoyed it. This flavor added enough spruce to liven up the potato. TATER TRAY: Yummy! It's deep fried potato chips pimped out with different toppings to choose from. The tater tray chips are crunchy. The names speak for it self. 1. Chili Cheese Tater Tray 2. Hot Dog Tater Tray (I'm surprised this thing comes with 2 hot dogs on a stick!) Wowzeer :O 3. He said he would take my order since it was my first time but they were only doing pre orders today. I thought that was so nice and ordered 2 empanadas. They came out quickly. 6.50 each and I was able to use Venmo to pay! I pulled one out right away and noticed how big and oily it was. I was thrilled by the size not so much by the oiliness. The outside was very crispy and had a nice flavor besides the oil. The filling was primarily papaya, there was not much meat and the egg was more towards the bottom. Overall I wish there was more meat and the egg was more evenly distributed throughout but I think the size is great for the price. I reccomend eating with the vinegar that comes with it because it helps cut the flavor of the oil. I would come back to support because the gentleman was very nice and my husband and I enjoyed the empanadas even though it was quite oily.
