Laid back beachside restaurant. This is also a good option if you're like me and don't eat seafood. A wide variety of menu items to choose from a everything was tasty. A little more on the rustic side, no need for shoes at this establishment. Service was adequate. A decent meal for a day out in the sun.

Absolutely loved this little gem in front of the beach. You are are sitting in the sand while the waves keep inching closer to your feet. Just in amazing setting. Loved the food. I ordered an octopus. The seasoning was delicious Highly recommend this place when vacationing in Puerto Vallarta.

We paid for a tour of the beaches and our tour guide brought us here to enjoy lunch. It was a nice place and the wait staff was very professional. Their food was very good. We enjoyed the stuffed avocado with shrimp, the chicharrones de pescado, the drinks, etc. I had to order rice for my kids because they didn't care for the menu selections. But other than that the place is great. We arrived at the perfect hour and didn't have lots of people on the beach front. However as the afternoon passed on, more and more tours stopped by and it became too crowded.

After checking out all the other restaurants on the beach, this was the one we chose to eat at (and to provide water taxi service to Boca de Tomatlán). If you like shrimp or octopus, consider ordering one of their fish and seafood combos (or the "stuffed filet" - which is actually more like seafood "on top" of a fish filet than "stuffed" inside it - or possibly even their stuffed pineapple). I thought prices for their lobster were high - but it's probably good. If you'd prefer steak (or something similar not from the ocean), the menu has some options, as well.

A-List if you enjoy a really beautiful venue and you have your CREDIT CARD handy and you are focused on just enjoying the moment. Here's the run down: 2 for 1 margaritas: my advice? Pass on it and order what you really want in the size and strength of drink you want. You'll get more, depending on what you order - pay more and be way more satisfied with what you get. The food: It really is pretty good, even very good and likely somethings on the menu are truly great. Want to hit the home run? Just look at the menu - the less you pay ($250~ pesos and less) the more average it's going to be. The more you pay ($300~ pesos and up) the juicier it's going to be. The Decor: First class, take the stairs to the top floor, best view of the beach and beyond, high calibre wooden tables, comfortable seats, nice woodwork, best of the ocean breezes. The service: some of the best I've ever experienced in the PV area, prompt, attentive, accurate. Take the boat from Boca or do the hike and land here. I think you'll really enjoy the experience. And the bonus is that once you are done, the staff will arrange for a boat ride back to Boca at no extra charge. Sweet! As always, for real. You be the judge.

Wonderful Mexican Beach restaurant in Las Animas. The Staff is professional, speaks English, and well mannered. The food was tasty and fresh and service was prompt, professional, and all food was served for our big group. Very clean restaurant and provides clean bathrooms, and plenty of staff. They too have a Water Taxi service and will alike pick up and transport your groups. Having tried many along the beach, Los Conos is consistently good and fair priced. Thank you JohnnyBravo for introducing us and all of our friends to Los Conos. It's now become a routine treat once a month with guests and friends.

My family and I went fishing and wanted to take our catch to a nearby restaurant at Las Animas beach for lunch. Our Captain recommended this place and so being unfamiliar with the area, we went with his recommendation. Las Animas beach is beautiful with all the restaurants sitting at the waterfront, lounges right at the shoreline and tables right in the sand. When we arrived at Los Conos, we were excited and ready to have a taste of my dad's big catch. A waiter immediately greeted us and invited us to sit. I told him we had a 4-5 lb Jack Caravelle and asked how much to prepare and cook. He seemed to have thought about a price before telling me 120 pesos per person (5 adults and 1 child). 100%, I knew he was up charging because we're tourists. But he was like we'll bring out rice, beans and salad for everyone. I thought it was kind of weird that they're charging per person and not a flat price, but I decided not to negotiate (hindsight, I should have considering there were other restaurants on the beach). I'd figured since they were bringing sides for each person, sure, it would justify the price. Except, they only brought out one small bowl of each side! How disappointing. For our fish, we requested to have it cooked three different ways: breaded and fried, butter garlic and grilled plainly. It took quite a bit of time, but we were told it was because they had to filet and clean the fish. Fair enough. When it finally came out, we were super excited and ready to grub! Of the three diff styles, I definitely would say the breaded and fried was my least favorite. Only because it was so heavily breaded. And with a fresh fish, having it fried really seemed like a waste. Everything was good, but I wouldn't say it was exceptional or really unique. Although we enjoyed the food, the reason for the 3-star was because I felt like we were taken advantage of with the made up price on the spot. I didn't appreciate that. They included gratuity of 113 pesos and each bottled water was 25 pesos. Total was 863 pesos, which is almost $50 USD, which I felt was a bit expensive considering we brought the fish ourselves. Oh well.

Los Conos Restaurant at La Playa Animal is so good. Family of four shared the Fish Platter. It was 1,800 pesos total, cheap & good!

The view and vibe was so relaxing! I could have sat here for hours, but we had a hike to finish. Note we came on a Friday at 2pm and there were not many people here, so it was extra relaxing. Food: Chicken, broccoli, flatbread: delicious blend of flavors with a lemony white bean spread and the pomegranate seeds. This stood out as a favorite dish in PV. Shrimp: We ordered the shrimp on the waiter's recommendation and it was not our favorite. The sauce lacked acidity and flavor and it was messy to peal the shrimp. Ceviche: made in the regular ceviche style (not ground like Vallarta style), this was very tasty! Recommend. Prices: definitely a pricey lunch. We got one drink and 3 food items for about $90 usd. But you are definitely paying for the vibe and fresh ingredients on a secluded beach. We loved the atmosphere and would return!

We like going to places where we're comfortable and can truly enjoy vacation with good service, good food and a nice views and this place checked off every bit of our list. Only accessible by boat makes it ex inclusive, a beautiful private beach, much nicer than most beaches in Puerto Vallarta. The little houses are all gorgeous nestled in the jungle with every comfort you may need. No, you don't have AC but you have a fan and a beautiful private beach and that is all you need. Everyone who works here was amazing, we went right after a tropical storm and they had a lot of things they had to work around and they did everything possible to make sure we were taken care of. the food and drinks were delicious and fresh, the massages were great and Mateo was absolutely amazing at making sure we were comfortable. The beach club on Saturday was so much fun, there are other beaches you can walk to and waterfalls you can hike too. Just bring a good attitude and check this place out.

The restaurant is essentially a large open air patio (that's covered) with a view of the river. A small lunch menu, but a nice selection that should satisfy. Best part is the food was quite tasty and made with fresh ingredients, I enjoyed the chicken enchiladas and they were perfectly seasoned with a great enchilada sauce, and just the right amount of cheese. Prices here are fair and the enchilada portion plate was more than enough for one grown man. There's a large bar and people were sipping margaritas and cocktails. I enjoyed the Micheladas. I'm not an ice cream eater; however, if you are, you absolutely must come here because the other patrons were enjoying several kinds of ice cream that looked quite delicious and unusual. And you could peruse the freezer and choose the type of flavor that you wanted. I would absolutely come back. It is not in the Pueblo so that if you are walking up the river either on your way or on your way back do yourself a favor and stop here!!
