    Adovada Ribs

Had the best lunch here today, have probably been here half a dozen times but I don't think I've ever eaten... only drank and had chips/salsa. Today went in and had the adovada ribs, no cheese and extra tortillas and it was incredible. Always friendly service! Best margs in the valley (gotta get the kick ass margs) see pics below, could not recommend more! Worth traveling for.

Went on a Saturday afternoon after the lunch rush and were seated almost immediately. Everything had good flavor, however the shredded beef tacos were a bit bland. But if you can handle the heat and out some of their hot sauce on it, it's pretty good. Our favorites were the calabacitas and the enchiladas.

The food here is so good. You will not be disappointed. My friend has been coming here for years and she introduced me to this place. I had the bean and cheese burrito and it was so yummy. A few months later we had a surprise birthday party and my friends husband had them cater. Wow. The food was so good, great flavor and fresh. You will not be disappointed. Definitely a staple around here and we will be back.

I had not been to Los Dos in over 20 years. But my wife always hears about it and she wanted to try it. This despite her not liking spicy food. She got the Grande Burro and I got the cheese crisp with shredded beef. We shared the guacamole. This was all for take out. The food was pretty good. The best thing was when I mentioned my wife wanted her burrito smothered but didn't like spicy sauces, the very nice lady gave us samples of 3 sauces to try! They were excellent and yes spicy but if you only use a little bit each bite, it was really good! The food was ready on time. Parking in front is pretty small and was full but you can park in back of the restaurant too. Los Dos is a little far from our house but we will probably go back again sometime.

Ordered tacos, enchiladas, chips and guac to go and everything was cold. The guacamole was black and they gave us ranch instead of sour cream? Taco shells, rice and beans tasted like they came from a can from the grocery store.

We had an excellent experience here. The service was ok, and the space was very no frills, but the food was absolutely insane. The salsas were insanely spicy for me but we got guacamole so help with the burn and we also had the chorizo dip and a pitcher of their Kick-a** Margaritas, which were indeed kick a**! The guacamole was delicious, and the chorizo dip was also amazing but also spicy, I was fighting for my life by the end of the meal but it was so worth it! I had the pulled beef burrito with rice and a side of sour cream and it was genuinely some of the best food I've had at a Mexican restaurant. I'd definitely recommend this place or they have another location that I'm sure is just as good. And you can buy salsa to take home!

My husband and I have been coming here for over 10 years, he loves this place. We have our favorites plates. I get the enchiladas and he loves the adobada ribs and of course the food is always good. This place is always looking the same. I will say I was disappointed this time, one of the ladies was a little rude when we first walked in- no smile, didn't look at us- just told us to pick a seat anywhere.

Having lived in San Diego for 9 years, visit Mexico twice a year on the regular, and learning Spanish from a love for the people...Los Dos Molinos is hands down my favorite spot in America. I'm a flight attendant, and know my way around a taco. Go here. It's hot, not for the weak. And make sure you order a lime margarita. Thank me later.

The empty plate says it all!!!

OMG amazing food, the beans are the best I have had in a long time, a lot of meat in the taco's , the empty plate says it all

We enjoyed some light bites as well - the Edamame Hummus and Shishito Peppers. Both were fantastic! I love that their menu points out which items are gluten-free... and our server even warned me that the plantain chips in the Edamame Hummus could have cross-contamination... so I very much appreciate that heads up! I opted to order them anyway and I am so glad I did - so good! And I experienced no gluten issues. Awesome! I'm already looking forward to a return trip! The chicken tenders were fire!!! What is lacking on this occasion was service. The server that we had was so unattentative. I have never been in a cocktail lounge in my life and had to beg for drinks. Our server would wait until every drinks was made for all of her tables before bringing out drinks. It was ridiculous. She was nice but seemed high. I ended up only having 2 drinks. We would have ordered more but they have 90min max seating and we didn't event get drinks for the first 30min. No exaggeration. Also one of my drinks I had to send back. My apple martini tasted like soap. It was like they did clean the glass after giving a soap bath. No bueno. So they need to get their service to match the vibe of a true cocktails lounge. Yes it is a 70s vibe but doesn't mean the lackadaisical style service. I would come back and try again. The music, the atmosphere and the food was good. They gotta get these cocktails together and service. We ended up walking to nearby competitors and that was money lost for DDG.

Both patrons and staff seem very kind. They offer actual food, snacks, and a good selection of drinks here. Priced pretty reasonably, especially drinks. Chill place to come and just have a conversation. Lemon drop (cocktail) - really pleasant, comes with sugar rim and lemon slice. You can still taste the alcohol but it's not overbearing. Jalapeno poppers - you'd expect the cream cheese to be a bit much, but these were fried nicely and it's pretty good. Not super spicy either. Comes warm, like they'd been in the fryer 30 seconds ago. Loaded skins - tastes better when you're drunk I'd imagine. These were pretty solid however. Comes with a watery ranch. Chicken tenders - surprisingly good classic. If anything, I'd come back and order this again. Chicken was seasoned well. Fries were seasoned well. Everything came hot and fresh. You don't need the dipping ranch it comes with, but if you're feeling saucy that's fine too. Really down to earth place, even if you're not that into sports. Appetizers were solid. The cheese curds were also great. However, the rest of the food fell short. We ordered the chicken wings with the house dry rub; while the seasoning itself had a good flavor, the skin was disappointingly rubbery, and the wings were way too greasy. The chicken tenders were just "meh," and the fries came out both undercooked and under-seasoned. As for the service, it was fine and we had no issues there, but given the execution of the food, we don't feel the need to go back.

If you're looking for free parking, you're going to have a long walk. Outside of that, you'll have to pay for parking in a garage or metered street parking. Ambiance (4/5): Hint hint. Idle Hands is located inside Devil's Hideaway. A true speakeasy shouldn't have signage outside indicating its location. Unfortunately, there's a sign for Idle Hands outside of Devil's Hideaway which takes away the sense of mystery and intrigue that a true speakeasy provides. Outside of this hiccup, it's a cool speakeasy. It's intimate, with 10 or so seats at the bar and about 10 seats in booths facing the bar. There's a projector screen behind the bar that had mystical motion graphics the first time I stopped by (thinking wizards) and Halloween motion graphics the second time (with it being a day before the holiday). There were some other Halloween decorations up. The only area of improvement? The music often doesn't match the vibe. A lot of the music they were playing on my last visit was Irish music that would be fitting for a pub. Service (4/5): I had the same bartender each time. He knows how to make a good drink and is pretty efficient. When you close out, he only gives you the merchant copy. Which is a pet peeve of mine. Let me get that customer copy too. But overall, a good experience. Especially at a college bar. Food (N/A): I've only had drinks both times. Idle Hands actually doesn't have food, but Devil's Hideaway does. And you're allowed to bring food from there into the speakeasy. Drinks (4.5/5): It's pretty surprising to see a speakeasy on a college campus. I was impressed with the creativity of the menu, both in terms of the ingredients used and the fusion of flavors. I've had a different cocktail each time, and they've all been great. My favorite was one served in a box filled with smoke. Talk about a cool presentation! The hallmarks of a solid speakeasy are elevated cocktails, nice ambiance (dimly lit), an intimate space, and mystery/intrigue. While the intrigue is lacking at Idle Hands, and the music can be improved, they hit it out of the park in the other areas. One of my favorite speakeasies I've been to in Phoenix (and surrounding areas). I am, after all, the self-appointed king of speakeasies. The king gives his stamp of approval.
