Definitely try this place out! We got a green chili burrito and bean and cheese burrito, both were amazing! Beans were perfect, and smooth and flavorful! The tortillas were soft and perfect as well! The value was great, and I would've given a five star, especially for the service, but the shredded beef tacos I had were DRY! It's as if the meat was sitting on a heat lamp/stove too long! The star of the show today is the sweet corn tamale. Everything was really good, but that tamale was spectacular. See photo. Ordered posole to go so I can enjoy it for dinner. Wonderful service in quaint little restaurant. I enjoyed generous bowl of Albondigas soup. Nice meatball consistency, fresh carrots and potatoes. A tad salty but cilantro, fresh onions and lime toned it down a bit. Hubs had a massive carne asada chimichanga. Really the most flavorful meat we've had in a restaurant in years! The service was amazing and explained all of the offerings and the inside is quite small but they had sports running on the tv which made it nice. Was greeted by the friendliest person ever when I arrived and she treated me like a mom who wanted to stuff their son with food while he visited. I loved it! Im sad to say I didn't have a good experience with the food. The server/cashier was extremely friendly and the people that come here seems to be frequent customers. The rice and beans were a bit bland. I'm a bit picky with my beans and need texture with it. I did enjoy my beef enchiladas replaced with beef as I'm lactose from their enchilada combo. What I regret getting was the horchata, I'm not sure how long it's been there or why it tasted sour. It seems that it's gone bad. I was trying to figure out the other flavor profiles but the sourness ruined it. I think there should be a taste test every __ hours or so to test the quality. read more

The steak ranchero and the tampequena both are very good. They have good seasoning and were tender. I wasn't a huge fan of their tortillas as they were a little too tough for me. Their tortilla chips weren't amazing but I'll still take free decent chips. The value is pretty good. The steak ranchero special was about $2 cheaper at $12 and the tampequena was $15.50. The horchata was $4 which is pretty pricey but the refills can make up for it. read more

I absolutely LOVE their gorditas. Seriously- best gorditas I've ever had. The employees who work here are always so kind and helpful. This is a totally Mom and Pop restaurant with just good food. My friend and I ordered chimichanga platters with green and red chili on each plate. The order came with rice and beans, sour cream, and guacamole. The chimichanga's are huge and the carne asada is very good. The rice and beans are excellent as is the guacamole. Our order was $41.00 with food and Dr. Pepper. The seating is very limited to 3 booths, 2 tables, and 2 smaller seating arrangements for 2. I was very impressed with the service from an obvious family member who took great pride in their service and quality of their food. I wish that there was a better seating arrangement, but happy that the food was amazingly delicious. My hubby and I visited the establishment in late April, as we were picking our daughter up from college. Since we don't know the area very well, we often use Google Maps with its ratings to help us find tasty food establishments--and it has done a good job of doing so. We decided to try Mr. Pancho, because the ratings were so high! When we got there, I was surprised to see that there was no one there but us, as usually highly-rated food places are always super busy. We were met by such a wonderfully friendly woman who obviously took pride in the establishment. She was very accommodating and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. However, the food, in my and my husband's opinion was just "okay". It didn't really stand out to us--and we have visited many a Mexican restaurant. A restaurant with a 4.9 rating should have my hubby and me drooling and wanting to tell our friends all about it. Not sure why our culinary experience was so different than many of the other reviewers giving it 5 stars. I will say that the hibiscus drink was the best I ever had, though. Super tasty. read more
