Me and my neighbor were out urban fishing and decided we needed some live minnows so we made a run to 'Liars Corner. After we were done there he mentioned he knew a place close by to eat, so we ran just down the street, east of Liars Corner, to Los Favoritos. What a pleasant surprise. You walk in and it's quite small, but neat, clean and the staff were very friendly. My neighbor ordered a breakfast burrito. It was stuffed with meat and eggs. Grat deal for 10.50. I ordered a shrimp taco, carne asado and an adobado taco. The shrimp taco was loaded with shrimp. Cooked to perfection. Firm and crisp.great flavor! The carne asada wasn't dry. Great flavor. Did a phone order for pickup and the employee was very very nice, the order was quick, it was ready in about 5 minutes. When I got there to pick it up the employee again was very nice and thanked me for the order. Super clean and put together inside compared to some of the other los favs I have been to. I've been going to Los favoritos since it opened on market Street I'll never go there again. Cutting corners on a flying saucer, no guacamole, no sour cream, not many refried beans, they won't be in business very long that was the smallest flying saucer I've ever had, Humberto's on Val Vista is twice that size and it's loaded I won't ever go there again there's too many other places that are better I shouldn't even give it one star after going there so many years and then they do that really wake up you can't run a business that way. I come here every other day with my friends after school. Its great food the churros are good and ive only had one meal i belive its number3 the taco abd enchilada delious every time! Fast food Mexican restaurants are a staple in Arizona. So trying them comes with living here. The low end of this category is Filbertos, and from there all other fast food Mexican places are typically measured. Los Favoritos is in this category but sits squarely in the higher range of quality. The restaurant is actually kept quite nice, clean and has a clear attention to detail at being nicer than something like Filbertos. Even the restrooms are nicely kept, being both clean and adorned with styled decor. The staff is quick, kind and attentive. Placing the order was swift, as expected at a fast food place. The prices were reasonable with most entrées being 10 or less. There are larger combo plates that price around 12, but still very reasonable. Los Faves does not supply free chips and salsa, but that is standard for fast food Mexican restaurants. The free chips and salsa are normally only provided by sit down establishments. I ordered the Rojo burrito combo plate plus a shredded beef taco on the side. The flavor was nice, and adding the red sauce really was perfect with zesty spiciness. The refried beans were very smoothly mashed, and the spanish rice was light. Los Faves is a nicer alternative to Filbertos with prices almost identical. I've been coming to Los Favoritos for years now. While there's definitely better Mexican restaurants around the valley, Los Favoritos is my favorite place for Mexican in the east valley. The atmosphere is nothing to marvel over but service is always great and the food is decent and nicely portioned. I always get the California carne asada burrito combo with a horchata as my beverage of choice. The beans and the rice is pretty standard fare but the burrito is money: That warm tortilla, the nicely seasoned carne asada, the melty cheese, and those potatoes... heaven! It's especially heavenly after a night of guzzling booze [I still come here sober mind you]. While they offer the basic red and green salsa, it's not exactly spicy enough for my taste but I don't mind too much. Fair warning for those mucho-caliente-lovers! read more

My experiences here are usually just OK at best. I don't come here often because their food typically tastes like it's been out all day or made the day before. This place is conveniently on my to and from home so when I'm short on time and I want Mexican food, I'll stop by. Otherwise, I'll go out of my way to somewhere else. I walk in, it's lunch time, I get it, it's busy. But when I order my food, sit down and I see a couple of people who walked in 5min after I sat down and they get their food before me and I've already been waiting about 20min, that's just not cool. They told me that my ticket didn't pass thru to the kitchen. Mmmhhhmmm... Ironically, there was a lady next to me who followed up with her complaint asking where her food was. AND yes, she also came in to the shop after me! To top it off, when I get home, I unwrap my food and my carne asada burrito is the smallest burrito I've ever had from anywhere in my entire life! I have private parts thicker than this dinky a $ $ burrito! In their favor, and the only positive thing I can say is, it was the best tasting carne asada I have ever had "here". EVERYBODY LOVES LOS FAVS! We love Los Favs it's our go to breakfast or lunch or dinner at least once a week. Their burritos are HUGE! I mean I can never eat a whole one (well except that one morning after a full night out clubbing). Seriously though they are big! Big enough to share with someone. The Chorizo eggs huevos and potatoes papas burrito is bomb for breakfast or lunch or dinner and you have to try the Carne Asada burrito too. The best!! First they overcharged me for the tacos $4.50 each when their menu clearly says $3.25. The female cashier said that was the right price. I said fine. I'm a first time person here so I'm thinking ok, maybe I'm wrong. They finally give me my takeout order after I've seen it sitting there on their counter well over 10 minutes after setting it down. My review on the Burrito de Camarones (Shrimp burrito): They have comparable soft tortillas as Chipotle does (I swear the best part of their burritos). It's the right amount of doughiness and you can feel the flour traces on your fingers after setting it back down (if you can resist). The first bite is always the most amazing, assuming you get in their deep enough. This burrito reminds me of a shrimp paella -- the rice sits in this amazing sauce -- almost like a rice soup with chopped cilantro, tomatoes and chiles. Everything is blended together perfectly with the succulent shrimp, held together in a bowl made of flour. It is the ultimate bliss. Think Filibertos with about half the sodium content, I had the much raved about carne asada california burrito which was a combo of carne asada, cheese and french fries....pretty damn good. My wife had a chicken chimichanga combo and it was so good it inspired me to try a simple chicken taco. Ordered a beef tostada and came out with no beef on it after 20 min and another plate of mine was an enchilada which was served with cold cheese on top and inside the enchilada and when we asked the cook if it was supposed to be cold cheese one cook said "yes it comes that way" then another one said "no it's supposed to be hot cheese on top and inside the enchilada so we will remake it for you" we didn't eat the food because the cook that was having a "rough night" might have done something to the food, but we paid full price for the food and didn't get what we paid for and the lack of custom service when we asked about the cheese is unacceptable... whoever that cook is will push customers away I usually love los favs, but customer service is important as well as making the food properly. read more

I come here EVERY week, sometimes even twice a week because it's delicious and it is close to my work. I always order the same thing (carne asada with no guac) and always see the same people working there. Today, I went in as usual and ordered. As I sat to wait, I noticed my receipt said no pico instead of no guac. So I asked them if they could change it. They lady said they had already made it and said word-for-word, "Since you ordered it wrong, it's not our fault and we don't have to make you another one." I did not order it wrong, and regardless, she should be more willing to please someone who visits on a regular basis. This is NOT good customer service by any means, especially considering she knows I come there all the time. I am very disappointed because now I have spent 6$ on a burrito that I'm not going to eat.
