We decided to go on a joyride today and try these fantabulous tacos . The fiance and I tried the crispy fish and the chipotle shrimp tacos. They were both so fantastic, but my rating for the shrimp tacos were 10/10 while the fiance gave them 9/10? The crispy fish tacos were an 8.5/10 for me, really really great but not the best I ever had, for my fiance they were a 10/10 mind you he hasn't had crispy fish tacos before. We tried the quesadillas and we had half of them as carnitas and half of them as chicken. I usually love carnitas but here at this restaurant the chicken was profoundly better. The chicken was soft and delicious and flavorful. We got it with extra cheese which I highly recommend. 8:10 really good. The guacamole was good but nothing to die for. But the salsa, my god the green salsa and the habanero and the house salsa they were all just extraordinarily delicious. We had the prickly pear margarita and prickly pear lemonade, both were great. I felt like the lemonade was a tad too sweet so I didn't finish but the flavor was amazing The waitress was so nice to us, we loved the service and the ambiance. read more

They have a great variety of tacos to choose from including a vegetarian one with seasoned cauliflower. Facilities and restaurant are clean, nicenice ambience, good service. Flavors overall I would say are moderate to excellent. It's not the best stuff I've had but it's OK. read more

The drinks, food, and service were above the standard you receive these days. I think our experience with Aubry(bartender) was fantastic. Observing her consideration to other customers was impressive. Seeing how hard working, thoughtful, and attentive she was reminded how great businesses in Gilbert generally are! read more

In terms of happy hour, they get a 10/10. For their regular menu, it is not as impressive to me. I absolutely love coming during happy hour, getting $6 ranch waters and the nachitos, but I am typically not impressed when I get anything from the regular menu. The tacos are good, but nothing special and could be a dollar or two cheaper. I did not enjoy the rice too much as I was not expecting bland white rice with a small amount of salsa on top. But again, 10/10 for their happy hour and I still enjoy getting a taco or two from time to time read more

Came here on a Tuesday afternoon around 12 pm and while we didn't have to wait for a table, it was still pretty busy. Great sign as I'm sure it was even busier later after 2 pm when their Taco Tuesday starts. Parking was plentiful about a block away behind the buildings in the parking lot. There's also a parking structure nearby. As soon as we sat someone came out with chips and salsa. I was pleased to see they have a happy hour menu daily until 6 pm. I ordered the Joyride Margarita and shrimp ceviche from the HH menu. Margarita was good, you could taste the alcohol and the tajin rim was tasty. The ceviche was great with a good amount of shrimp and avocado, very flavorful. Both were great considering they were only $6 each. For entrees we ordered the SoCal Burrito and the Beast Burrito. The SoCal Burrito was really good, and there was a lot of big shrimps. The al pastor was a bit salty as was the carne asada in the Beast Burrito but it wasn't too bad. We also ordered one crispy fish taco which was good and came with a heaping scoop of guacamole. I really enjoyed the side salad that comes with the burritos! It had huge corn nuts which was a nice surprise. All in all their menu could be a tad larger (I was hoping for burrito bowls or a fish burrito) but their food is pretty tasty. Our server was very nice and checked in on us just the right amount of times, offering more chips and salsa as soon as we needed it. Parking is easy and there is a lot of outdoor seating, which we needed since we had our dog with us. We'll definitely be back! read more

Stopped in here to have dinner with a big group of friends. It was pretty busy, and the vibe was just that, but our service was pretty good. The food was tasty, and everybody seemed to be pretty happy. Wasn't able to capture pictures just because we had such a big group, but definitely recommend their cucumber and orange salad. We had amazing, attentive, and quick service for our group of 16. The whole team took great care of us. Their TOD (taco of the day) was a chipotle chicken taco and it was delicious! Their orange cucumber salad is refreshing, and their roasted mushroom starter is savory and flavorful. The pork adobado tacos were also very tasty. They also have a very spicy habanero salsa that was super memorable. We had such a great time here, it wasn't our first time, and it won't be our last. This is my second time going here and I got the birria breakfast burrito with a side of rice and beans and the joyride margarita on the happy hour menu. The breakfast burrito was good just a bit messy but that's birria. I asked the waitress if they had any green salsa and she said yes and brought a big side of salsa and when I got the bill it was $2 for the salsa, it's not breaking the bank but I wish she would've told me it was extra! Looking for a quick spot to eat around 8pm on a weekday, I came across Joyride Taco House in downtown Gilbert. I've passed by this location hundreds of times and always wanted to stop in. Being later close to closing time, they restaurant was pretty empty. They have quite a few tables inside and many more tables on the patio that faces East to Gilbert Road. Dining alone I opted for the bar even though I was only going to drink water. The bartender was very friendly and attentive and started me with a platter of chips and salsa. I inquired about the size of the tacos and ended up ordering two- the pork adobada (guarjillo chili, pork, radish, onion, cabbage and cilantro) and the standard (roasted chicken, slaw, avocado, pico, aji amarillo and cilantro). The tacos were pretty good size and accurate to the description from the bartender. Both were very tasty and really enjoyed the crunch from the cabbage and radish in the pork taco. Overall this was a great first experience. I definitely will come back again to try more items from Joyride! read more

Starting with the complimentary chips and salsa, the chips were way thick and over salted. Salsa was fine. We ordered the loaded nachos with carne asada. Went there last night (Saturday) it was pretty slow which I like because there was no wait for a table. I go to Joy for the good margaritas and tacos!! My fav on the menu is the crispy fish omgggg so fresh, crispy and hot. My husband ordered the Birria torta which I thought was a bold choice, but it was surprisingly so good. This used to be our go to for a great happy hour and amazing margaritas. However, they took all the best margaritas off as well as the tacos (they have a taco of the day on there but every time we go its chicken) They added some other its like the nachos and 3 dips which were both decent but nothing too special. The beer is still an excellent price for happy hour luckily! I also love their shrooms. Please bring back all the margs on happy hour and my review will definitely boost back up;) read more

I love going here for early happy hour (before 5pm.) Joyride has the best select Mexican and best craft beer pitcher happy hour price I have found in all of the Valley at $6. That equates to about 2 pints of beer. The happy hour prices for food goes until 6pm. The service is always friendly and attentive. It has both a front and back patio seating areas. I enjoy the back patio, except when the tree is shedding its little yellow flowers. The front patio it's fun to watch people strolling Gilbert main Street. We walked into this restaurant and all 5 of us have never been here. We are celebrating a birthday. We walked in and immediately was greeted by a kind face and was given a table for 5 right away. They have a few items on menu with humorous names for Mexican food. All was greatly explained by our server Cambria and manager Logan. Food was great, service was quit and good. Nothing went bad. Cambria was very kind and quick to help and Manager Logan supported her and checked on us a few times. All in all I would highly recommend this spot. Great food, good people and nice ambiance. I've been seeing Joyride Tacos pop up on my feed for some time now. I usually celebrate Taco Tuesday by getting a burrito....its kinda my jam. I scoped out the menu earlier today and decided I needed to taste that green chili chicken burrito before the day was over or I'd toss and turn all night wondering what I was missing :) This is a walk in and sit down place. Good vibe inside with music flowin' and good atmosphere. Our waiter, Chase, did a phenomenal job as well. All good things! We ordered the Hatch Green Chili Queso to start which was killer! As mentioned, I was there for one thing and one thing only: the Green Chili Chicken Burrito. It was great! The chorizo and pinto beans took it to another level, especially with the flat grilled tortilla....chefs kiss all the way! On a scale of 1 - 10, there will be future visits for sure! So like there's only about 1/4 left and my wife and I are just totally grossed out. Told the waitress and she was appalled. She says she's going to tell a manager. 5 minutes later she comes by and asks if the manager has been by. Nope. She's annoyed. 5 minutes she asks again. Still nothing. She's mortified. Finally a manager comes by with some half-assed apologies. By now we are really ready to go. This location is in downtown Gilbert and I've frequented about five times in the last almost ten years. It is routinely hard to navigate to find parking and can be a wait to get a table, which is why I tend to avoid. Despite that, I've always had great service and amazing food. Since it's busier, it tends to be very noisy which is also a deterrent for me. Though the queso alone will bring me back when I am craving as they have some of the best in the valley! read more
