I don't think all the workers speak good English. Regardless, the food is really good and authentic. When you order online you risk getting a order wrong because they are buffet style and they serve you what's available. Maybe go outside some time and you won't have to worry about your app or the workers having issues because they are unable to actually solve anything in person for you. :) they have great variety and even serve lovely desserts. read more

Excellent Latin cuisine! Usually to get good authentic food from a Latin country you need to go to a restaurant that specializes in that cuisine but with Los Gemelos Deli & Restaurant you can find the best of all Latin America! We ordered the Pernil with the llampingachos and it was amazing! We also ordered the pupusas which were delicious but they forgot the cabbage topping but the actual pupusas were delicious and filling. We also ordered tacos and we loved them! I should have requested lime and extra onion and cilantro but for those who are not fan of the toppings then you would really enjoy these. Last but not least we ordered the fried fish. This was delicious but when I ordered it I thought we would be getting the full fish not a fried fillet so the only suggestion would be to manage that expectation but it was really flavorful. First time ordering food from Los Gemelos: Order was placed with Uber Eats, not no excuse for miss understanding the order. Ordered: 1 Steak Lomo, 3 beef empanadas, 1 beef burrito, 1 chicken quesadilla. What was delivered: 1 Steak Lomo, 3 beef empanadas, 1 chicken burrito, 1 chicken Caesar wrap? Obviously not thrilled with getting 1/3 the wrong order... but things happen. Called to let them know there might have been a mixup, but the lady on the phone said no you got the correct order. I explained chicken quesadillas don't usually come with lettuce, no melted cheese, some type of creamy dressing, rolled up into a wrap form. Her answer was; "thats how we make them" After her answer, I can tell she does not give a shit, so just said okay and ended the call. Mistakes happen I understand, but I know the difference between a Caesar wrap and a quesadilla. If this is how you do it... then your doing it wrong. Usually end it there, just make a mental note never let order from here again. However the first bite into my chicken burrito, chicken bone. Not a tiny piece, an inexcusable amount. So how was the rest of my family's meal? Wife: Lomo was heavy on the salt, beef empanada extremely dry. I would agree that the Caesar chicken wrap was very dry chicken, but defiantly not as dry as the beef empanadas. I would recommend trying the empanadas, only because the beef was so dry it seems to defy possibility. If you made it this far, you could probably guess that I would not recommend this place. My wife and I had lunch there as I'd read some good reviews. Well it was definitely true. The food was excellent and delicious indeed. The Puerto Rican dishes are truly tasty and filling ! The empanadas were amazing too. Haven't found a good Puerto Rican restaurant around my neighborhood until now. The 5 stars are for the food served. Aesthetically the place honestly needs an upgrade but wow the food is a must try. Definitely recommend and will come back for more. read more

The food was ok but the service was lacking for sure. I spent more then 63.00 on three meals and 3 sodas and a side of rice and beans and was not what i expected. The pernil was flavorful and the rice was not that bad. The breaded chicken was just reheated and vary dry and rubbery. The stewed chicken was ok. This is some of the most delicious food we have had in Norwalk. The pork dishes and empanadas are the strongest standouts, and I can't recommend them enough. The Colombian plate is also extremely tasty. It's hard to choose a favorite on this menu. The food is way overpriced for the amount that is given and on 2 occasions my food was super salty ! I had once a ham and cheese empanada and all I tasted was salt and mayonnaise ! & recently I had the arroz con gandules with carne guisada and pastelon and my pastelon was pure salt I had to throw it all out because I couldn't bare the salt the rice barely had gandules and it was just so sad that all that money i spent wasn't worth the quality of food . The portions were generous and affordable. This restaurant has a walk-up counter where you make your selections from the days offerings that are in the steam table. There are also other items to choose from in addition to the items in the steam table. Coffee and dessert items are available, as well as, a selection of soda (tropical and other).The food was so good that I ordered another (large) serving to take home for dinner. This place hits the spot every time. Its not the only Latin restaurant in sono, but it's certainly one of the best. It's not a huge place, but there's ample parking and a couple booths inside. I definitely recommend the carne frito and the empanadas. It may look like a hole in the wall but it's actually very charming inside. If you feel tempted to order more to go, you should absolutely give in to that temptation. read more

This is good place to grab a quick bite. There's only 2 small booths inside but with Vets park across the street and Calf Pasture only a mile away, get your order to go. I had breakfast here, got the western omelet wrap. Tasty, Good portion size, and only $4 bucks. Fairly limited menu though even for lunch, however it's worth a visit. read more

Didn't even realize this place existed and am so happy I just discovered it! We went in (thinking it was Los Taenos) to buy a bunch of empanadas for a party we were going to. They made us 20 empanadas in record time! They also have amazing hot food every day- pernil (shredded pork), and other meats, plantains in a hot case. In addition there is a cold case with pre made salads/side dishes and 4 different types of salmon- great to run in and grab dinner for the fam if you don't feel like cooking. Some people there were ordering breakfast which sounded amazing (they have gluten free wraps for my fellow gf folks). And icing on the cake- they have a menu of about 10 different types of fresh juices (I had kale, apple, lemon, cucumber which was fresh and delicious). Be sure to check this place out!!!! read more

They are incredibly nice there and very welcoming. The food was delicious the pulled pork tasted delicious and the homemade green sauce was very yummy, everything there was fresh and homemade and it tasted fantastic. The service was quick and it was right off 95. They had a great variety of food from empanadas to lasagna. I had a big order and they forgot some of the items, no big deal I mean it happens right , so I called to let them know and the person on the phone was extremely rude and accused me of lying which really upset me, especially since I spent $70 there, not that it should matter should just have respect for everyone. Anyways He hung up on me TWICE , when I was being extremely calm and understanding. Even while he was being rude, you would've thought he was the unhappy customer.
