Such a large place with beautiful interior. Everyone was very friendly. They had it decorated for Valentine's Day so there was pink and glitter everywhere. The food was incredible. Absolutely everything I had was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I will be coming back! read more

Los Grandes Restaurant was insane! I went to Los Grandes on a Thursday evening and the parking lot and restaurant was HUGE. We did not need a reservation and were seated immediately as there were not many other customers. The menu stays in theme and is also massive. They offer a wide selection of drinks, Mexican food, seafood, and even offer sushi and oysters. I chose the fish tacos and they were great. They were loaded up with a ton of sauce and the fish was great. Two of my friends ordered the sushi bowl and also said they loved it! Los Grandes is located in Burnsville, MN. It is a very busy place, but the service is quick and the food is amazing. We had the Minnesota sushi dish to share. It's sushi with chicken, beef, and cheese. It also comes with bacon, but we opted out of that. It came with nine large sushi pieces and had a crisp fried coating. I had a chicken chimichanga. The chicken was seasoned well and the chimichanga was filling. Hubby had the combo fajitas without the shrimp. The steak was tender, juicy, and flavorful. I thought my chicken in the chimichanga was better than his chicken in his fajitas so we would opt for just steak next time, but it was still an amazing dish. Even the veggies were good. For dessert, we had the plantains with sweetened condensed milk. They were so good and cooked just right with a little bit of crunch but not overdone. The total bill was about $70 and we had lots of leftovers. It's worth it! This is the perfect place for a quick meal or a celebration. They even had a live band that started at 5 pm Saturday. This is definitely a hidden gem, I tried to make my way to this establishment because I heard it was good. Well I am very pleased that the hype was right. When we came in we were shocked because the restaurant looks smaller on the outside than it actually is on the inside. The lady that greeted out was fine, she was helpful and showed us to our table. I think 4PM is a great time to visit here if you want to avoid the rush. Lastly I want to say I will definitely return because the food was so delicious, drinks were great and the Manager Maria came out to check on us and I also love how great Merci was also. Visiting from Los Angeles, California and having so many Mexican seafood restaurants in LA this place was even better than the ones in LA. Had a Fried Mojarra with beans, white rice and salad and it was delicious. The fish was very crispy the way I like it. Presentation of the fish was outstanding! Went back recently and although the food was delicious the music was just way too loud. I wish they would give customers an option on where to sit. The last time I was there we were seated all the way in the back so my party can still talk at the table but this time we got seated in the main dining room and couldn't hear anything but the music. Almost had a hard attack bc the drummers moved right behind our table. I had the awful experience of coming here with family. The seafood they gave us was frozen, like actually frozen. When we brought our concerns to the kitchen assistant manager only excuses were made and nothing was truly resolved. The amount of money we we're spending should be shown in the food and be made to be worth it, especially when it comes to frozen/raw seafood when anyone who eats it could potentially get ill. Well... We went back.... I can say for the final time this time. I would like to start off the review by saying the food is very authentic and tastes good, however it is VERY expensive. A 12 oz sub- par margarita was $16.99. They had live music, which consisted of a full brass band, music was also a cultural experience, but it was so loud you couldn't enjoy your dinner, we ended up switching tables 2 times to get out of the noise ally. The fact we were the only local people in there did not go unnoticed by the other guests, who constantly stared at us and gave us dirty looks. First time here and the food was delicious. The plates come with enough food to get you full or even have food to take home. My boyfriend got the mix fajitas (chicken, steak, and shrimp) and it did disappoint. He loved it! I got the plate with empanada, steak, and one cheese enchilada and it was very good. Very disappointed! Table service took forever! Music was extremely loud! Women's bathroom was filthy with one stall with plugged up toilet! They have dancing in the basement, but I don't think it's the same business. It was very hot and humid and the floors were slippery. At one point, one of the employees came turned the a/c on to circulate the air and about 10 minutes later another staff member came and turned off the a/c! Some coworkers and I came here to celebrate a birthday and they were very friendly! I had the Siete Mares (seven seas) it was a really good soup. I had never had oysters, turns out I don't like them but I also never had clams and mussels and they were really good! The broth wasn't too fishy either, it was the perfect balance. So pleasantly surprised to find this place. Came here for an event and immediately felt like I was back at one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in SoCal. The decorations were colorful and the huge fish on the wall should have clued me in that this was a mariscos restaurant - seafood!!
