    Very good Margarita
    Bennie F.

Best Carnitas dinner in the area! Hands down! Always moist, tender and very tasty. Sometimes you get a piece or two with a little fat but that what makes this dish so good. Excellent Margaritas, chips and salsa. Definitely get the house hot sauce. It's hot and tasty. I had the Guerrero Loco dinner. The beef chimichanga in cream sauce was very good. The fried, stuffed jalapenos needed work. Although the breading was warm, the actual jalapeno was cold. The cheese stuffing was just this side of cold. The jalapeno was a little chewy. Taco salad was very good. We've been coming here for years, and it's hit and miss. Carnitas incredible. Stuffed jalapenos not so much. The service has always been good enough. It seems that I'm always trying to track down the server to get more tea, beer or another Margarita. The one amazing non-food thing that sets this place apart from all other Mexican restaurants is the art. Tables, chairs (backs of chairs) are painted in colorful scenes of Mexican life. But the enormous wall painting of the mythical figures of Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl (the Aztec Romeo and Juliet) is phenomenal! For me, the hits exceed, and are well worth, the misses. I'll always return to Los Guerreros, especially when I need of a Carnitas fix!

So delicious and truly authentic. This was one of the only places I could find online that served a shrimp cocktail and they went above my expectations. We also got to try some of their aguas frescas which were very refreshing. Clean and service was great.

    Gross plate of Mexican "food"

A lot of things wrong with this Mexican place I've lived in Texas so I know something about what is good and what is not good with Mexican restaurants. The plates lacked color, honestly it was gross see my pic. The chips tasted like they were fried in rancid oil. The margaritas tasted like they was VERY little alcohol. The salsa was just bland. The tamale was a freakin joke. They said they didn't have shredded beef, my tamale has a mix of shredded and ground (?) beef. The service was way subpar and as others have noted I don't think even the wait staff knows the menu. Way overpriced. I would highly recommend avoiding this place. Hoping I don't pay more for this later.....

Guacamole dip - fresh and delicious

While visiting family we decided we wanted Mexican food for lunch and this restaurant was conveniently located close by their home. It was our first visit at this Mexican restaurant and we were very happy with our food experience there. Located in strip store plaza, it doesn't look like much on the outside so we were pleasantly surprised with the colorful and clean looking interior. We were greeted promptly by our waiter who was excellent and knowledgeable about their menu items. Complimentary salsa and warm tortilla chips were brought out right away. Salsa had a little spice to it - not much but it would appeal to all palates. I added a little hot sauce to mine because I love my salsa with a kick. We also ordered their guacamole and queso cheese sauce to dip our tortilla chips into while perusing their menu. Both were very good - the guacamole was very fresh and seasoned well. The queso was also delicious and it was nice to choose and mix dips to our heart's content. I chose for my main entree Camarones a la Diabla. The dish is shrimp cooked in a spicy tomato based sauce and comes with sides of rice and beans. I opted out of the beans and ordered extra rice in it's place. My dish was superb! If you like shrimp and spice then I would definitely recommend this meal for you. Plenty of perfectly cooked shrimp in a delicious tomato with some veggies and a good kick of spice sauce! Their rice is really good also - still had a nice bite to it and the flavor was very good. Went well with my shrimp to mop up all that yummy sauce - I cleaned my plate. My husband ordered their chicken chimichanga plate. Two chimichangas loaded with shredded chicken with some spices - rolled, grilled and topped with a generous amount of their cheese sauce. Hubby opted for all refried beans as his sides. He thoroughly enjoyed his meal saying it was very, very good. Wait staff were friendly efficient and hard working. Cleaning tables in between customers quickly, filling to go orders and waiting on customers. A very good first time food experience and we will definitely keep this restaurant on our list to go to when visiting family in that area in the future.

Wasn't very warm and didn't get queso on it like I asked for, wow

I also have tried their Enchiladas which I like chicken verde and try them everywhere. Theirs are very meaty and great sauce flavor. I have noticed this place for years and there are always cars out front when they're open. I've also noticed that a lot of the people going in and out are Mexicans. Now I know why. This place is authentic! It is a cheerful little Mexican restaurant with knickknacks brought across the border by the owners and proudly displayed everywhere there's room. I was greeted by Mama Nina as soon as I walked through the door and told to sit anywhere I liked. I was immediately served with chips, salsa, hot sauce, a large glass of ice water, and a menu. Mama Nina saw my interest in the little house plaques behind the register and proudly pointed out her favorite. The salsa is smooth and easy to pick up with the paper thin homemade chips. Neither salsa nor chips were too salty. A lot of places will serve you salty chips and salsa so that you will drink more. Señor Taco isn't trying for the cheap sale. This is the real deal. I immediately ordered Guacamole and Chips ($10.99). The guacamole is obviously homemade, had just the right amount of spice, and was topped with a sprinkle of pico de gallo, instead of having it mixed into the guacamole. Easily matched the best guacamole I've ever had. For my entrée, I ordered the fajita trio ($29.69). This was also the best fajitas I've ever had. Large slices of steak, chicken, and perfectly grilled shrimp, smothered in green and red peppers and onions. Brought out on a hot metal plate with a wooden under plate and still sizzling from the grill. You can see the steam in the photo. A separate plate held yellow rice, scoops of sour cream and guacamole, two different kinds of cheese, lettuce, and pico de gallo. The beans were served in a small crockpot because it was almost like a soup! I mixed the rice with the beans and ate it with the spoon provided. There were easily enough mixings to make 8 fajitas but I was only given 3 flour tortillas, although I'm sure I would have been served more if I asked. There was no way I could eat everything on the table. When I was full Mama Nina deftly packaged my leftovers to go. This was easily the best Mexican meal I have had here in Florida. Well worth the $50 including generous tip. There is a business for sale sign in the window. I hope they are moving to a better location. It always surprises me to find excellent restaurants in little out of the way holes in the wall. I'll be back!

The mix & match was plentiful and way more than I could eat, the wicked burrito, a tad spicy, but my husband ate every bit of it. Loved the shredded chicken enchilada, seasoned perfectly. Our waitress, Jennie S. was on top of things, coming around often checking on us, very friendly offering suggestions. The establishment looks better on the inside, a little deceiving from the road which I think the sign makes it look a little worn. The inside looks newer & cleaner. Would definitely bring our friends here that love Mexican food, I think this is one of the better establishments around.

The food, not so great. Nothing special. My honey had Cowboy Brisket tacos with refried beans & Mexican rice. The meat had not much flavor, The Jalapeño slaw was missing the Jalapeño flavor, tasted just like slaw. The rice was dry not much flavor and the refried beans were bland. I had the Mexican Cesar salad with pumpkin seed cilantro dressing. I didn't taste any cilantro. I had a side of shredded chicken that was overloaded with so much granular spice that it tasted powdery. We probably won't come back.
