The catfish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside...dangerously snackable. The wings were very very good. Full of flavor and no sauce needed. The service was friendly but did take about double the time to cook as what was shared. Casual vibe. Will come back and try another fried fish option. Maybe the lengthy wait was an exception.

The place overall seemed clean and bright but there were a couple tables that looked like needed to be wiped off. Everything on the menu looked pretty good. I decided to give the catfish nuggets a try with a side of Mac and cheese and collard greens. The nuggets were a lot better than I was expecting. The fish was so flaky and the breading was the perfect about of crispiness. The collard greens were cooked well but were a little bland. Wish it also included a protein or something in it. The mac and cheese tasted a lot better than it looked. It was wasn't great but it was kind of what you'd expect of a fast casual spot. I really liked all the lemonade flavors they had. All of them were pretty good and I definitely recommend trying them out if you're not afraid of a little sugar.

I threw the suggestion out to Sally and she thought it would be fun to try something new so she picked me up, we got on Gate City Boulevard and drove west until we found this place in a small strip mall. The outside won't necessarily draw your attention, but once you step inside this simple takeout/ dine in spot, the experience is totally different. As soon as we walked in we were approached by a gentleman who must have been the owner. He was incredibly kind and appreciative of our patronage. He explained all the dishes and a little bit about the company itself. This guy was full of pride about Seafood Destiny and I was impressed. Besides dining inside, they offer takeout and catering services. He was particularly proud of some of his dishes and when he told me that the crab legs was a special tonight for $20, I knew that was the best fit for me. You pay at the counter after you choose your selection and then have a seat and wait for your food to arrive. We were the only ones in the restaurant, although I did see a few people pop in for takeout. I could not help but wonder with it being so empty whether the great reviews would match up to what they claimed. I got my Diet Coke from the fountain machine with unlimited refills which always makes me happy. After chatting for a while with Sally, this huge plate came my way. The crab legs special for $20 was amazing. Not only did it have plenty of crab legs, but it came with a half-dozen beautiful shrimp with excellent seasoning, turkey sausage, corn on the cob and delicious scalloped potatoes. I ordered a side of asparagus. Although it was tasty. I don't know if the asparagus was worth $5. On the other hand, the main dish was a real bargain!! The food was delicious. Sally ordered salmon with pasta and loved her dish as well. I just ate and ate and ate and ate and eventually devoured the entire dish. Boy, that was good. No doggy bag here! We were each served a special dipping sauce from the Seafood Destiny. It was sweet and tasty but I was happy to just devour the fish as is. It was well seasoned and scrumptious While we were eating, a young man came out to chat with us. Something told me he was the son of the owner or he was indeed the manager or both lol. We had a nice chat about the place and it's history and he really appreciated our visit and hoped we would spread the word. I will! We arrived at 6:30 and before we knew it it was 8:00 and the place was beginning to close. I devoured my last crab leg, got a refill on my diet Coke and we headed out. Both Sally and I discussed on the way home what a delicious meal that was, how lovely the owners and staff were and what a shame that there not more people in the restaurant. I am hoping that was a fluke on a Tuesday night because Seafood Destiny definitely deserves customers. The place was simple, but the welcoming staff, the good priced seafood meals, the plentiful portions, and most of all, seeing the incredible pride and love the owners put into this place made it a winning combination for me I'm always a big fan of family owned operations and Seafood Destiny deserves your patronage. Whether it's shellfish or salmon or grouper, I highly recommend you head over to this place. As unassuming as it is on the outside, the inside was a delicious and welcoming experience!. I will be back and I hope to see you there!

We ordered drinks and an appetizer and they came out fairly quickly. The Korean BBQ Spring Rolls are very good! Now for the not so good part. We ordered the fish and chips to split- that was all we ordered after the appetizer and it took forever for our order to be brought to the table. We watched a couple tables around us, get their food before us, and they had been seated after us.. The server had to go back and check on our dish a couple times before it finally came out. I will say the fish and the chips were fabulous, but the corn was terrible and should probably not even be included on the dish. It was WAY overcooked and chewy. The coleslaw left quite a bit to be desired as well. No seasoning, no flavor and was just bland. When it says wasabi coleslaw, I am thinking it is going to have a little bit of a kick to it but nothing. They could definitely save themselves some money by eliminating the corn from this dish, make the coleslaw an option as an up charge and could lower the price on the dish in general or add a third piece of fish instead of the corn and coleslaw. Overall, it's definitely the best fish and chips we've had since moving to the area, but I would order it with no corn or coleslaw next time.

We started out with cocktails. I had a Hendricks dry martini straight up (it was delicious) and my wife had a Don't Call Me Sweetie which is mix of Hendrick's Gin, Lemon, Cucumber, Basil, Simple, Saline 15. It is very citrus heavy, so be advised. She had them cut it with a bit of cranberry to offset the citrus. For main courses, my wife had the grilled salmon and she chose sautéed garlic spinach and wasabi slaw as her sides. I ordered the shrimp and grits and my side was blackened green beans. Let's talk main course first. My wife's salmon was terrific. Flaky and moist and very tasty. My shrimp and grits was unique because it was a real balance between large pieces of shrimp and the grits. Many times you'll order this dish and end up with a pile of grits with some shrimp sprinkled on top. This version is very tasty and a really nice balance of flavors. The Cajun seasonings have it some kick, but it did not overpower. The side dishes are where we had a couple of surprises. First off the sautéed spinach was really delicious, but my wife's wasabi slaw was bland. It's a huge shocker because when you see the word wasabi, you expected to have some Asian kick to it. This did not. It was hard to even identify that it had wasabi in it. That was a disappointment. The surprise was the blackened green beans. They actually were one of the stars of the show. Their flavor and texture was just awesome. We could've ordered a huge bowl of it and eaten all of it. While it didn't need it, there was a dipping aïoli on the side, just in case we wanted to add that to the green bean experience. As I mentioned off the start, Fishbones is a very casual experience. It's very pub-like in that way. We really loved it and the wait staff, which is a team approach as anyone who passes you makes sure you're doing OK, were kind, upbeat and helpful. Even with the bland slaw, we can't lower our rating because overall the experience was terrific. We will definitely come back.

I don't think Greensboro really has another concept like that. At first it seemed a little different, but it actually makes so much sense because after dinner you can easily order dessert right at your table. They even bring you the dessert menu, so you don't have to get up and go to the other section. You can also just sit in the restaurant area and order desserts if you want, which I thought was really convenient. I also loved that the chef is from Oaxaca, Mexico, and you can definitely taste the inspiration in the food. I'm from Oaxaca and Guerrero myself, so I really appreciated the flavors and style of cooking. The drinks were really good too -- especially the cantaritos. They honestly tasted like the ones you get in Mexico. The esquimo wasn't my favorite since I've had better before, but the other desserts were really good. I loved the esquites and the fried plantains with condensed milk. Overall, everything else was flavorful, authentic, and worth trying!

We decided to try different versions of their tex mex combinations in order to taste a number of different items on the menu. My wife opted for the combination with two options while I went for the three. Her two were a soft chicken taco and a chili relleno. My three were an enchilada, a soft taco, and a quesadilla. Let's talk first about the stars of each dish. The chili relleno was very flavorful and my wife enjoyed it immensely. For me the quesadilla, which, if you look at the picture, it appears more like a taco, was also very delicious. It was a unique version of a quesadilla, as it was not pressed as they normally are on a flat top. As for the rest of our meals, the entrées suffered from a serious lack of seasoning and flavor. The refried beans were bland and non-descript. The red sauce on the enchilada was more like a marinara sauce. It had very little Mexican spice and flavor. Both of our soft tacos were mostly cheese and lettuce, and the meat, in our case chicken, was not seasoned very well. Once again, it all leaned bland. A few other things to point out. The margaritas we had were tasty, but the "16" ounce glass seems closer to 12 and it was 70% ice as you will see in the pictures. I will also say that a vast majority of the menu is very pricey. We are always willing to pay more for great food. Sadly, the food at Gusgueras falls short.

Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment. We've had incredible experiences at another Full Moon location. Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment. We ordered grilled oysters, a pound of shrimp (peeled and deveined), and a half-pound of king crab legs, items we're very familiar with and order often. The grilled oysters didn't seem grilled at all. They looked strange, had very little butter, and were almost completely flavorless. The shrimp was another letdown. It was under-seasoned, wasn't peeled or deveined as ordered, and was gritty. We also never received the corn that was supposed to come with the boil. We could have mentioned it, but by that point we were already so disappointed that we didn't bother. The king crab legs were clearly not fresh. The shells were so old and pliable that they bent instead of cracking properly, and the inner membrane stuck to the meat. We didn't eat it. They made another order which was the same. Our waitress said they don't receive orders for the KC often so they may have been old. Ummmmm! The service didn't help the experience. The staff seemed standoffish from the beginning. Our food was dropped off without any explanation or follow-up, and we had to ask for everything we needed instead of anyone checking on us proactively. However our waitress was happy to help us remove the crab from our bill and she was pleasant. We know this isn't representative of every Full Moon Oyster Bar because we've had fantastic meals at another location. That's what makes this experience even more disappointing. We were celebrating a special occasion and left wishing we had chosen somewhere else.
