I revisited this place after years and I forgot how good it is! It definitely has the beach town feel because the whole place is a bar that wraps around the whole restaurant. Such a cool concept! They crack your oysters for you fresh and they are amazing!!! I tried shrimp, clams, mussels, oysters, and crab legs. They were all delicious, but a tad overcooked. The oysters however were perfect and HUGE!!! I honestly dont recommend the hushpuppies. They were disappointing but the drinks, potatoes and cole slaw were made perfectly. I didnt take away any stars because the service was so amazing and the food mostly tasted great! Nothing can be perfect and they almost hit the mark. Still the best seafood around the area for sure.

I just found out about Full Moon from a friend but I have already been twice and it was great both times. They start you out with a side of boiled potatoes. They're super seasoned and buttery. It was a nice introduction. The place stays pretty busy but I had no issues being sat either time I've visited. Most people seem to go for the oysters but I'm not a raw oyster girl so I tried some favorite entrees both times. The first time I got the shrimp and grits-it was different than a normal shrimp and grits-this was a grit cake in a nice spicy cream sauce with shrimp. I would say it was pricier than most for shrimp and grits I've had for the portion size but no complaints. This most recent time I got a harvest salad and the crab dip. Both were really good-I would have liked toasted bread for the dip instead of the loaf bread provided. They have great specials and I'll definitely be back.

Recently I enjoyed a Friday evening with dinner at the Full Moon. The location was extremely busy and full of patrons enjoying meals. The layout of the restaurant was interesting with large central bars. The menu is the star at this restaurant being a seafood lovers dream. Aw a walk in it took about 45 mins to get seated but with Adjacency to good local bars time flew past. The service you received was as good as could be expected with a busy bay. The shrimp cocktail was tasty but the shrimp are extremely small and only 6 so definitely not a shareable. I had the chargrilled oysters and they had great potential. All the flavors were there but they were left a bit too long to cook and half my order was burnt. The soup was phenomenal, as was the peel and eat shrimp. I would love to go back on a day that isn't as hectic and hope for better oyster. The potato salad did make up for a couple of the black shells.

The best seafood in the Triad - without a doubt. If you're craving seafood done right, it has to be here. We started with the chargrilled patters - Smokey, herby, buttery, and insanely delicious. And the snow crab legs were perfectly seasoned and easy to crack. The salmon dinner was cooked to perfection - flaky, flavorful, and had the perfect crust. They bring out coleslaw and potatoes to eat while you wait on the rest and it's a perfect starter to the experience! A tasty little appetizer while you wait for the main event. The service is friendly and attentive, the vibe is open and beachy, making it perfect for a lunch or relaxed dinner. The inside seating is mostly bar seating, it does get packed, and does not take reservations. You can expect to wait if you come at dinner time but it's SO worth it.

Full moon has tasty food but the portions are small for the price. I got 12 oysters with potatoes and slaw and was still hungry. Staff was nice. Service was quick. I did like the $5 well drinks on Friday

The Full Moon Oyster Bar is consistently amazing. I tried the shrimp and grits for the first time and they are some of the best I have ever had. The grit cakes and creole sauce were incredible, and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. I love that they use grit cakes so it is not just a pile of mush. The crab stuffed oysters were phenomenal. Our party also ordered crab legs, raw oysters, and bacon wrapped scallops, and we were extremely pleased with all of them. The service was friendly and the restaurant itself was clean and inviting. We love this spot and always try to make a point to come to Jamestown just to eat here! Also, I think our servers name was Miguel and he was so fun and patient with us. He has a doodle bob tattoo which was enough for us to give five stars to begin with.

We went on a Sat afternoon around 1pm, the place was full and we (group of 5 ) waited 15 min. Ive been to the one in Clemmons, this one is about same size. Seats all around the bar. The food was great - pretty much everything we had was fresh and amazing. Fried oyster appetizer and fried calamari- not greasy and with light batter. Flavorful and crunchy. Shrimp broil - portion so large I could not finish. Fried basket - portion is also pretty large - my mom is pretty picky and even she liked it. So will definitely return to try more dishes.

Love it here! Come here way too often! Freshest oysters in Gso. Service is nice and fast! Just good luck getting a seat sometimes

Oh my goodness , I can't believe we've never been here before!! Great food! Great service! In Jamestown. I got fried oysters and she crab soup and my wife got the seafood risotto. They give you a two little bowls of slaw and potatoes to get things started . We will definitely be back and bring friends!! Everyone sits at the bar but they do have some handicap tables. We felt like we were at the beach. Great vibe.

Today we went to Full Moon Oyster Bar. For starters I got the crab stuffed mushrooms (12 dollars), they were good but I think the bread crumb ratio was off, too many bread crumbs in my opinion. My girlfriend had half a peck of the house oysters which they shuck and serve in front of you, she LOVES oysters (market price), she said they were delicious. She always eats them with salt and lemon. For me, I had a "build your own boil" with shrimp (24 dollars) and snow crab legs (20 dollars/cluster). Now when I see the words boil, I think like.. Red Crab Seafood type of boil where it's super messy and flavorful. I was a bit underwhelmed when I realized it was all just steamed and had some dry seasoning and butter on it. Because of this, it literally just tasted like steamed seafood. Which i mean that's not bad, but when you're expecting a flavor bomb and you don't get one, it's a little depressing. The potatoes they serve as a free side were pretty average, we both don't like slaw in general so we didn't try it. The bread was super crispy and broke int several pieces when bitten. This place has a typical bar atmosphere and seems to be pretty lively. The service was very quick and friendly. The total was about 97 dollars, so it is a little bit pricey especially if you get the market priced items, for example, the 140 dollar king crab. I'm not sure if I'll go back, if I do I'll get something that's not the "boil" and try a cocktail. Overall 6/10 super average, and I may be a bit bitter about the seafood boil, but I'm willing to try it again

We celebrated a birthday at Full Moon last week. It was a great time!. We got there early (5pm) because we had movie tickets after and heard of the long wait times. Going that early on a Saturday was no problem. Got seated right away. We started off with the crab dip everyone races about it was good, but it wasn't very hot. The garlic bread served with it was outstanding!!! I should have asked if we could order one with our dinner. So good. While we waited for our dinner, my husband wanted to try a Quarter Moon. He loves spicy things. So we ordered just one. He really liked it Now you need to know my husband is very competitive, so when he saw there was a T shirt challenge, he had to do it. He ordered 5 more. By this time our dinner came and we were sharing the full Moon platter. We were a few bites in when the other 5 quarter moons arrived Lucky for me, he focused on the oysters and I got to finish most of the platter myself By the 4th quarter moon, he was sweating and chugging water. The full Moon was perfect to share. The clams, shrimp, and oysters (grilled) were very good The crab legs were a bit over done. In the end he got his T-shirt, we had a great dinner and fun night. We will go again and explore more of the menu.

AMAZING!!! I would go back everyday if I could to try something different on their menu. It all sounded so delicious and I definitely was staring at everyone's plate. Of course the oysters were amazing and not too salty which I definitely appreciate. This was our first time there and the staff was super friendly and helpful explaining everything and making some amazing suggestions. 10/10. I am definitely going to have to add this to my restaurant rotation list.

Between excellent service, from the host to the kitchen staff, and being a bright, cheery place decorated in a modern farmhouse feel (only complaint is the HARD seating), we love this place. The food is always delicious and seasoned perfectly with FLAVOR. For the appetizer, the Salad Pizza is absolutely scrumptious and was recommended by our server our first visit here last year. Honestly, it keeps bringing us back. The flavors are incredible. It has feta, mozzarella, topped with organic greens, shaved onions, tossed in a lemon/dijon dressing with shaved parmesan. It's a flavor bomb in the mouth. The meatloaf, is to die for. If you're a meatloaf eater this is for you. It's so tender and juicy and perfectly seasoned. Melts in your mouth and the sauce on top is the perfect blend of sweet and savory to top it off. For my two sides this time I chose the fried brussels sprouts and the greens. The greens are always seasoned perfectly and the brussels sprouts were crispy and full of flavor. They tasted even better dipped in my meatloaf sauce so that was a win-win. My boyfriend had the special which was short ribs. For his two sides, he had greens and green beans. The short rib was perfectly tender and absolutely delicious full of flavor and moist for him. The green beans and the greens were also perfect as well full of flavor, just enough fat and butter. It's a great little date spot or a family dinner. They also have outdoor seating covered with umbrellas. There's a bar inside with a TV if you choose to go watch sports and the food here is always on point full of flavor and makes you want to come back and try more things on the menu. You can't go wrong at southern roots.

Everything was delicious, although my partner wasn't a huge fan of the short ribs. The trout and salad were both excellent. The cheese dip was delicious. The sides were a standout, especially the Parmesan spaghetti squash, which I highly recommend. We had to put some extra salt on the sides, but that's purely personal preference. They also had several reasonably priced drink specials, which was a nice surprise. The service was amazing--friendly, attentive, and a big part of what made the meal so enjoyable. Overall, a really solid dining experience, and I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.

She had been there before and said the food was good and service wasn't too slow. There were no other customers eating in the establishment or waiting on food. A man came from the back, saw me and tuned around. Shortly after, another man came out and greeted me and asked how he could help. He seemed in a hurry, but I placed my order. The other girl's order came up and she showed it to me (see photo); she did purchase an extra piece of fish. When my food came out, I had a chat with Jack, who seems to be the one in charge. He's going through a lot with lack of workers. That explained a lot. He is very hospitable if you take the time to talk to him. I got home and sat down to eat. The Cole slaw was very watery- not my cup of tea. I was surprised to see purple juices from the purple cabbage that's in the cole slaw as well. I tasted my whiting, ordered as lemon pepper. I didn't taste lemon or pepper. I called Jack to make sure his cooks added the seasoning as ordered. He said it's a lemon pepper breading. I tasted the crispy hush puppies and they were great! The jumbo shrimp was succulent and deliciously cooked. I will definitely return for more jumbo shrimp or maybe the croaker next time. I also plan on trying the wings!!

The only small bit of inconvenience was that I didn't know what to expect on it. There were tomatoes but I took them off. So in the future, I would call and ask. My husband ate them with my leftover so it's not big deal but they should add a description to their online menu. Also, he said they were friendly when he went to the restaurant. I threw the suggestion out to Sally and she thought it would be fun to try something new so she picked me up, we got on Gate City Boulevard and drove west until we found this place in a small strip mall. The outside won't necessarily draw your attention, but once you step inside this simple takeout/ dine in spot, the experience is totally different. As soon as we walked in we were approached by a gentleman who must have been the owner. He was incredibly kind and appreciative of our patronage. He explained all the dishes and a little bit about the company itself. This guy was full of pride about Seafood Destiny and I was impressed. Besides dining inside, they offer takeout and catering services. He was particularly proud of some of his dishes and when he told me that the crab legs was a special tonight for $20, I knew that was the best fit for me. You pay at the counter after you choose your selection and then have a seat and wait for your food to arrive. We were the only ones in the restaurant, although I did see a few people pop in for takeout. I could not help but wonder with it being so empty whether the great reviews would match up to what they claimed. I got my Diet Coke from the fountain machine with unlimited refills which always makes me happy. After chatting for a while with Sally, this huge plate came my way. The crab legs special for $20 was amazing. Not only did it have plenty of crab legs, but it came with a half-dozen beautiful shrimp with excellent seasoning, turkey sausage, corn on the cob and delicious scalloped potatoes. I ordered a side of asparagus. Although it was tasty. I don't know if the asparagus was worth $5. On the other hand, the main dish was a real bargain!! The food was delicious. Sally ordered salmon with pasta and loved her dish as well. I just ate and ate and ate and ate and eventually devoured the entire dish. Boy, that was good. No doggy bag here! We were each served a special dipping sauce from the Seafood Destiny. It was sweet and tasty but I was happy to just devour the fish as is. It was well seasoned and scrumptious While we were eating, a young man came out to chat with us. Something told me he was the son of the owner or he was indeed the manager or both lol. We had a nice chat about the place and it's history and he really appreciated our visit and hoped we would spread the word. I will! We arrived at 6:30 and before we knew it it was 8:00 and the place was beginning to close. I devoured my last crab leg, got a refill on my diet Coke and we headed out. Both Sally and I discussed on the way home what a delicious meal that was, how lovely the owners and staff were and what a shame that there not more people in the restaurant. I am hoping that was a fluke on a Tuesday night because Seafood Destiny definitely deserves customers. The place was simple, but the welcoming staff, the good priced seafood meals, the plentiful portions, and most of all, seeing the incredible pride and love the owners put into this place made it a winning combination for me I'm always a big fan of family owned operations and Seafood Destiny deserves your patronage. Whether it's shellfish or salmon or grouper, I highly recommend you head over to this place. As unassuming as it is on the outside, the inside was a delicious and welcoming experience!. I will be back and I hope to see you there!

We started with the hanging bacon and Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. The bacon was soo good & flavorful. It tastes like it has a sweeter maple glaze on it. The bacon comes with croissants too. I'm not a huge croissant person but wow these were really fresh & so flaky. The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls really surprised me because I didn't expect to love them so much. They had a lot of flavor & were so crispy. They came with 2 sauces - a sweet & spicy chilli sauce & then a creamier sauce. Both were amazing & paired really well with the egg rolls. For my meal, I had a salad with a side of fries. The salad was delicious - it also comes with a croissant. The fruit in the salad was so fresh & some of the blackberries were huge. It also had goat cheese, candied pecans & dried cranberries. I ordered it with the raspberry vinaigrette per our waiter's recommendation and it was the perfect dressing. The fries were shoestring fries & had the perfect amount of salt & crispiness. Everyone else in my party ordered the prime rib & they all agreed it was exceptional. For dessert I tried the tiramisu affogato and it was perfect. It had vanilla ice cream & mascarpone - the mascarpone was a nice touch. Our service was amazing too. I customized my burger by removing the tomatoes and asked for the buns to be toasted a little extra to help keep the bread from getting soggy too quickly. Sadly, that wasn't done and the bottom bun was done almost. As soon as the burger arrived with the shoestring fries, I noticed the red pepper cheese dip was very heavy-handed. After cutting the burger in half, I realized why. The lettuce never stood a chance (see photos). I managed to eat one half, but the second half was beyond saving. For me, once I'm eating a burger with a knife and fork because it's falling apart, it's time to let it go--and that's exactly what I did. The menu isn't very extensive, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But when you have the menu they have, the items on it really need to be consistently executed. It may be worth either expanding the menu a bit or replacing some dishes if improvements aren't being made. At this point, I think future visits will be for the appetizers... and the wine. Those seem like the safer bet.

Let's be real, Greensboro: when the seafood craving hits, you don't just want a meal. You want an…read moreabsolute feast, and Red Crab totally delivers. I've hit up both locations in town, and they consistently bring the heat. The customizable boil bags are the absolute star of the show. You get to play chef and pick your catch. I usually go for a mix of snow crab legs, whole shrimp, and crawfish. Fried Baskets: Super crispy catfish, tilapia, and jumbo shrimp. Appetizers: Start with the hush puppies or fried calamari while you wait for your main bag.The service is always fast, and the energy is super casual. Just put on the plastic bib, grab some extra napkins, and prepare to get messy!

This is not only my top seafood boil bag place in the city butttt this is also where I go when I'm craving raw oysters like tonight. My hands are always messy here so I'm never able to get photos but I don't think I need evidence of the glutinous activities I divulge in here. Tonight I had a dozen and a half of oysters for my starter with garlic butter and lemon pepper boil sauce on the side & extra extra lemons and let me tell you they did not disappoint. They're usually bigger but it is winter so I won't complain. The bar is always hit or miss hence the missing star and tonight it was a miss for me. I order the gone fishing fish bowl and asked for extra sour it was extremely flat and felt like it was missing something. They definitely didn't add the extra sour either. I gave the drink to my companion as not to waste but it wasn't worth it. For my boil bar I had craw fish and green mussels in Gallic butter and Cajun hot with a side of rice and eggs. It was phenomenal per usual. Very consistent and delicious. The restaurant was great tonight. Friday. On the weekends it can get extremely loud when they are doing live music. Those are my least favorite nights. You have to yell over the music to hear the person right next to you. But tonight the music was at an appropriate volume. ( at the point when the boil came out my hands had oyster on them but it was amazing I promise )
